That is exactly where we start every morning. My wifes father started there with her around 40 years ago and the tradition still lives. I can remember there used to be a ledge about 5 ft out from where you're standing and we'd all be throwing out and he'd just let his lure cruise right along it right in front of us and catch 'em. Hole is not really a hole any more but there's usually fish there. At least until guys decide to come in on the other side and go stand right where we're throwing. I've been known to "accidentally " get tangled up with them, especially when they walk right in where my boys or wife were fishing. Doesn't look like you had that problem.
