  1. Very nice Scot! I had pretty decent fishing today as well. I caught a 8 lber in about 4 fow on a Arig........................unfortunately it had whiskers. I had about 4 inches of rain here, so lake should be rising fast.
  2. Or the other Bill......................Bill Beck.
  3. Rumor has it that Jeff's pontoon rental has purchased the dock and moved his business from Hwy 13 Marina to Baxter Marina.
  4. The options are endless! The number ONE question is location. Will you want to see shows or shop in Branson? There are many nice resorts on the lake, but several are quite a distance from Branson. I would recommend hiring a Guide for a half or full day. That would be a GREAT gift to your father-in-law. I would recommend Bill Babler or Bill Beck. They are excellent guides who will make your trip enjoyable.
  5. It all depends on location and price. It also depends how much you love your in-laws. Prices range from $50 to $500 per night. The week you picked is usually great for fishing.
  6. He's the GREATEST..........except he is a Duke fan! How can you live in KS and be a Duke fan???????
  7. Thank You! I'm not a huge Arig fan, but I do throw a down sized version, that doesn't wear you out. The fish are starting to move towards the back of the creeks.
  8. Finally got 5 lber.........it took two BASS to get er done. First double on the Arig. Dave will be proud of me......finally uploaded a picture....only took a new phone.
  9. Starting to see fish staging in the back of creeks in 8 - 15 feet of water. Fished from 5 to 7:30 P.M. and caught 5 shorts and one white bass on megabass 110 jerkbait and Arig. I could see larger fisher closed to the bottom. Mid James the WT is 57 on main lake and 61 in back of creeks. I know that's just surface temp, but it's a drastic improvement to what we had a week ago.
  10. Very nice!!
  11. The big fish bite is non existent! I haven't heard of anything decent, since the cold front. Hopefully, the bite will improve with some warmer temps.
  12. Champ, you disappoint me! I was positive you would have beat Dave to the punch.
  13. http://www.scout.com/outdoors/wired2fish/story/1760659-opinion-why-i-m-now-a-ned-rig-believer. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!
  14. You're the man!..........................She is a DOLLY! and a good fishergal too! That picture says it all!
  15. Good catch and I told him there were no fish left in the Kimberling City area Dave had them all sore mouth once again I don't have a clue what I'm talking about
  16. I give $2 who will give me 3 I got 3 who would give me 4 Now give me 5 now 6 now 7 now I now 9 sold to the Browning collector he may have the biggest sickness here
  17. I think you should do a silent auction, using a PM to bid on them!
  18. No, but I believe they sell a season pass. I'm not sure of price, but there are a few local, just off Y Highway that are free/donation launches. It just depends what part of the lake you want to fish.
  19. I think you have to fish the Anglers Choice circuit to be eligible. My Grandson, from Northern Il. is fishing it. He caught a 6 lber, the first 20 minutes, that he was on the water. It has been down hill for him ever since. He has really struggled ever since the first day. Several of our knowledgeable contributors to this great forum have given him some tips (you don't get any help on the Grand Lake forum). I'm going over Tue. and Wed. to see if I can help (or at least be the cook).
  20. Long Creek, King, or James. Not many crappie near pt. 6. I have caught a few in Little cow years ago.
  21. If you keep catching all of Dave's fish..........I will have to send you back to IL. Very nice fish! Thanks for a GREAT report.
  22. Sounds like you guys caught them pretty good! It had to be brutal, with the conditions you guys had. Congrats on the fish , as well as braving the elements.
  23. Thanks for the post! You have to give them credit fishing in that horrible weather.
  24. If you happen to need a fishing fix, before yours is repaired, give me a shout. My is on the water and ready.
  25. I agree! I found out that Ma's, Filling Station, and Flat Creek ALL get their catfish from the same supplier. Believe it or not, It comes from Viet Nam!
