The original warts and why they were so successful is obtaining mythical status. I'm not sure that any bait can live up to the mythical status.
  2. The last three years, most of the walleye I catch come of jigs. FB head jigs with Hula grubs, tube jigs, and Ned rigs. Money. I caught 7 one day on BSL. Every one of them over 17 inches and every one of them less than 18 inches.
  3. Hey ! I know that spot! Good Luck! Have fun. I won't shoot at you.

So last week, one local gas station had gasoline for $1.34 a gallon. less than a mile away another station had gas for $1.69 a gallon. I bought the $1.69 gas because IF it costs more, it must be better.

    Uh-oh

Or better yet don't sell to California or any other state with those BS requirements. I would suggest bags of 15. I hear $10.00 is the going rate. Or maybe All sales in person. Cash Only and don't say a word about where you got em. First rule about Claw Club. Don't Talk about Claw Club.

I do so poorly with a wart that I'm not really tempted by all the wart knockoffs. I blame Dave and the Ned rig for that. Feels really strange not to be interested in new baits. At least not these.

Understand that I am spoiled by some of my past success with a Zig Jig in low water conditions. Anymore, I am disappointed with catching less than 10 fish an hour and pretty bummed out by 5 fish an hour. I maintain that I would have safety concerns about being on the river at > 30,000 CFS. There has not been nor to I expect an announcement about when they plan on closing the Floodgates to be made BUT they are pulling BSL down by almost a foot a day and by your arrival BSL will almost be down to pool and I don't think they would continue to run floodgates when the lake is that low. It isn't my favorite time to be on the river, but I have caught fish at 24,000 CFS. It is slower than I like and a lot more work than I like, but is doable. Hang in there. It might all work out just fine. Taneycomo is happening right now and is not all that far away.
  8. I went out into the cold to restock some Zig Jigs and aw buzz baits and a couple of top water baits laying around. Made me really sad. C'mon springtime.
  9. Truth! preach it brother!
  10. Lol, Solid advice right there. in all seriousness, everyone will have to re-learn the upper lake which is going to require 1) cleaner water 2) lower water levels and 3) Time. Phil is Da Man. Y'all be careful.
  11. Think BSL for walleye and Norfork for Stripers. Norfork has walleye and guys that catch me, but Bull Shoals is thick with them. Mike Worley is a guide that posts a lot of helpful information on OA. I also know Ron Jonota who has Col. Ron's Guide Service. I would trust both of them to put you on fish.
  12. There are plenty of smallmouth in the mid lake areas, but I would think it is a stretch to call them the dominant species in the Lead Hill Area. IF I moved to the lake, I would likely chose the mid lake area, but I like catching a little bit of everything.
  13. I love the Leadhill area. I fish there a fair amount, but I have also fallen in love with the lower lake. I have a smallmouth bass addiction.
  14. More,Yes. Bigger, not in my experience. A lot less people on the water and a lot more room to get away from them.

KT's in Gassvillie has some of the best BBQ I've ever had. Kinda pricey though.

If Mexican food isn't your thing, that's cool. Casa Montana is better than most though. Do you mean the Back 40? Lots of locals love it. I hope never to eat there again.

Casa Montana is a good inexpensive option. No waiting in line and Good Mexican food. Try the Burrito California!

I do not drink, but my wife comes by it honest. She has become quite the craft beer fan. Thanks for the compliments. Where do I send the check?

Coming from Cotter you will past Judicious Spirits on your left (North side of the road) prior to reaching Mountain Home, They have a very good selection as well and would save you a few miles IF you weren't going to try Dusit. If you hit The Arena you were very close to Harps/ Jack's Liq.

Jack's Liquor Store in Mountain Home has an excellent beer selection in cans or bottles. Next door to Hastings in the same shopping center as the "old" Harp's grocery. Also check out the Thai restaurant in the same shopping center. Dusit. Great Food at Good prices.
  25. I use about the same amount of fuel with my Pro XS 250 HP that I did with the Yammy 130 HP on my metal boat. Very pleased. I do try to trailer close and I don't run around for the fun of it. I mainly use WOT for runs back to ramp trying to beat darkness.
