Understand that I am spoiled by some of my past success with a Zig Jig in low water conditions. Anymore, I am disappointed with catching less than 10 fish an hour and pretty bummed out by 5 fish an hour.
I maintain that I would have safety concerns about being on the river at > 30,000 CFS. There has not been nor to I expect an announcement about when they plan on closing the Floodgates to be made BUT they are pulling BSL down by almost a foot a day and by your arrival BSL will almost be down to pool and I don't think they would continue to run floodgates when the lake is that low.
It isn't my favorite time to be on the river, but I have caught fish at 24,000 CFS. It is slower than I like and a lot more work than I like, but is doable. Hang in there. It might all work out just fine. Taneycomo is happening right now and is not all that far away.
