  1. Oakland was under water at 667, but it gets usable off the downslope at ???. Pontiac should be ok for a few more feet. Jimmy Creek should be ok until the road to it floods out. I would bet the ramp closest to the dam is not usable now. CR15 is toast but there is a long steep on in Howard Creek that is got to still be good.
  2. They can pass Powerbait with hooks in it so I guess they can poop out corn. Good info DD.
  3. Really, really good stuff man. I'm impressed by the photography, writing, and the simple fact that you're so hardcore. Awesome.

I've caught grub fish at 10K, BSL, and Norfork. Wind blown flat points. Classic stuff, but it's tough to put down the Beetle grub w/o a spinner.
  5. The link to the written word did not work for me.

Great trip. I didn't know anyone except Quillback was allowed to fish there.
  7. I've caught 100's of bass out of Bull. None of them have weighed 5 lbs. I have caught a 10 lb LMB and another over 6 lbs since moving up here, but both of those were Toledo Bend fish.
  8. I would love to have had it, but I certainly understand.
  9. Water like other things rolls downhill. BSL is the last big retaining pond and they have been getting a lot of water down south. Looks like a great summer for throwing streamers and jerkbaits on the White. I had asked about a sticky thread on ramps usable at what water level (high and low) before. I got minimal response. The COE ought to have a chart, but I bet they don't.
  10. You are an evil man PW. Pics like that make me want to abandon my job and go fish until the money runs out and the letters from the lawyer catch up with me.
  11. I sure would ask what you thought it was worth. It's better than most boats and it has extras.
  12. The Slam
  13. You could do a lot worse than a Pfluegar President. It's a $60 reel. The sizing is kinda weird. So it's better to shop in person on those and get the one that looks right to you. I like the 6925 size for trout. I would strongly push you towards 6 lb nanofil as well, but that's another argument I mean thread. We are gonna fight about everything so you might as well get some suggestions for a reel out of the deal.
  14. You've got to look at all the gauges and look for a bulge of water. The water falls out much more quickly at Ponca than the lower River. I like the river lower and clearer. At times though, a little stain makes the fish more aggressive and less spooky. Eh, your trip so your call.
  15. on the White River, 15 in the livewell in that situation would take about an hour most days. The clients should be able to handle that on their own. I think Great Blue Herons eat about 5 trout a day. Maybe that's how they set the limit.
  16. Full sized in pink or white with a 5/0 hook.
  17. I like my discussions better without a troll starting them though.
  18. I love a floating worm bite. a lot of times the worm just disappears....
  19. I love to fish the Buffalo and when it is clearish and not raging, I think it would be fantastic to walk from Ponca to Steele Creek and fish along the way. So Im not poo pooing the idea, but you can see the river, but its a loooooong cast down to the water.
  20. wait...what.... there's more than one kind of "Kansas" guy? Who knew?
  21. Looks like a good boat. I dont know what Blue book value would be, but it looks very nice.
  22. PM sent. Very interested.
  23. Them **** Kansas guys always stick together.
  24. Bdavis, I thought I would hike the trail and fish, but you can't do it. The trail is sometimes hundreds of feet above the river and often no easy access down. I suspect that fishing will be off due to off colored water, but I am not near the river. I know I would not try to fish the Buffalo this weekend. Ham
  25. I'd pick something else to do or somewhere else to do it, but that's just me.
