  1. Last December, I set some lofty fishing goals. Aim High right? I had hopes for 75 species with 13 Lifers. Once it became apparent that I would reach those goals “early”, I had to raise the bar. I’m not even sure I had ever gotten to 50 species in a year before, but if you’re gonna get to 75 maybe by the end of September, your goal can’t be 80. I have set my sights on 100 species for the year. This might be my best chance to ever get there so I’m gonna try really hard to do so. *** Fair Warning *** This is going to become a picture heavy thread. I’m going to try to post pictures of each of the species along the way. I don’t have pictures of all of them. My pompano that I caught in Destin flopped back into the surf while I was fumbling with my phone. Please just look away if this silliness annoys you. I’m super excited by this goofy quest, but if you aren’t Please Mute this thread or add me to you ignore list. I am aware that at times between haste, glare, clumsiness, and aging eyes that my pics are not Ansel Adams worthy. Mia Culpa. Wish me Luck!
  2. I re-read the descriptions of the three species of Logperch in Arkansas. I have only caught Logperch. ill need to travel to a tributary of the Arkansas River to try for a Ozark Logperch.
  3. Well Heck, maybe I’ve only caught Ozarks and not common. I will have to do more Reading and looking at pics of what I have caught already. there may need to be updates to several lists
  4. Let the Haters Hate
  5. Somebody’s hands are in the way but, the fish seemed too short to be a Black Buffalo.
  6. They do, but I’m relying on FishMap.org to help me. I’m going to follow my teachings and fish an area that just has Ozark Logperch so I can be sure. I could go to a local creek and catch 20 of them and photograph the dog poop out of them and study later I guess.
  7. Bull Shoals and Norfork have some ADULT Gills, but It is pretty rarefied air past 10 inches. my best producer has been drop shot in 15-30 FOW. I know what they look on my Humminbirds now. I am making a trip to Sand Hill Lakes in Nebraska looking for a PB Gill later this month (and maybe a few other fish).
  8. While it’s not entirely fair, I blame @Johnsfolly for my latest version of fishing obsession. I’ve been obsessed with fishing since I was like 5 and I always liked catching new fish, But I blame John for luring me into the dark, seedy world of #LifeLists and micro fishing. Thanks Buddy I owe you one. This year I had some pretty lofty fishing goals and even though Covid 19 cost me some trips that would have really been Really Fun and productive new species and total species wise, I’ve had a pretty Lucky year fishing wise and maybe caught a few species that I normally would not. The goal was 75 species and whatever number or lifers. (I wrote 12 in one place and 15 in another.) Since it seems very likely that I will reach that goal, I of course had to up the ante. So the logical next step in my mind anyway was 100 species for the year. Keep in mind that previously the most species In a year was low 50’s maybe 54 and most years I tapped out at low 40’s and was Proud of that. *** FULL DISCLOSURE *** There is another picture Heavy thread coming on the Push For 100. Do keep in mind the Ignore List. I continually recommend that more ppl use it. the Push For 100 ends 12/31/2020 But the 40 in 40 starts now and ends 12/31/2023. This Magical Nonsense Tour is about me trying to catch a Particular Set of 40 New Lifers in the Next 40 Months. Some will be easy (Location, Location, Location) and some will likely prove to be very difficult. Enjoy the List But Do Not expect any of this to be Logical or make much sense at all. Please Feel Free to Joust with your own set of Windmills. Edited to BOLD type the fish that have been caught 40 in 40 ( assume nothing) ◦ Northern Pike ◦ Bull Shark ◦ American Eel ◦ Orange Spotted Sunfish ◦ Bantam Sunfish ◦ Blue Spotted Sunfish ◦ Northern Snakehead ◦ Shovelnose Sturgeon ◦ Checkered Madtom ◦ Ozark Madtom ◦ Slender Madtom ◦ Brown Bullhead ◦ Spotted Bullhead ◦ Snail Bullhead ◦ White Catfish ◦ Tarpon ◦ Tripletail ◦ Look down ◦ Bonnet Head Shark ◦ Jack Crevalle ◦ Florida Gar ◦ Suwannee Bass ◦ Yellow Eye Rockfish ◦ Black tip shark ◦ Common Snook ◦ Bonefish ◦ American Shad ◦ Hickory Shad ◦ Red Snapper ◦ Goliath Grouper ◦ Gag Grouper ◦ Yoke Darter ◦ Greenside Darter ◦ Ozark Logperch ◦ Tiger Trout ◦ Bluntnose Minnow ◦ Common Shiner ◦ Golden Topminnow ◦ Silver Carp ◦ Bighead Carp I will try to remember to post with picture and deets as I catch the fish on the List

It will not be, but I do find it Very interesting that there are all but Zero stories about Covid 19 in other countries anymore. Is Covid 19 not an issue around the planet? Are we doing better or worse than other countries? It seems like if we were doing worse then it would be important to know how we could improve. It seems like if we were doing better than some of countries that the Trump administration would deserve a liottle credit for that.
  10. What did Woodward have to say about Cuomo sending Covid positive NH residents back to the facilities? When they had options? When it was known that elderly patients did much worse on average with the infection than other adults ?
  11. Dang I had a little leverage on you, but it sure didn't last very long. Good Job John! Please Give Sue and Livie Kudos for me.
  12. Are you SURE that was a Smallmouth Buffalo ? Couldn't it be a Black Buffalo ?
  13. I’m Glad got herself a photo carp. Who else in your family can you hose on Their first carp?
  14. Very Nice!
  15. Put that female doggy on a jighead and fish it almost any time and any where. They just get bit. can be boring to do a slow steady retrieve back to boat, but that is often the best retrieve. . Throw it early. Throw it late. Throw it shallow, in between, and deep. At shorelines, schoolers, points, and docks.
  16. Don’t sleep on the Z man swim baits. I throw a mix of Z Man and Keitech mostly.
  17. Completely unnecessary.
  18. Location, Location, Location. We all have to play the cards we are dealt.
  19. Dave is just on fire !
  20. I would suggest you pick up a 99 cent bottle of Dawn dish soap to do some pre-cleaning on the river
  21. Ahhh Table Rock

COE has stated public ally that they are going to run water through 11/22/2020. I prefer 2000 CFS, but I can catch em in 25,000 CFS. If I can, you can.
  23. Best value, Perception Pescador
  24. I'm holding off until 9/30 for a Full Update. Spoiler Alert: I'm at 16 Lifers for the year.
  25. He spent more than a dollar catching him. I'm Jealous though
