  1. If I can buy it, I won't tie it.
  2. Seems like a deal. I've had some luck with the KVD's.
  3. I had a chance to get Sub Wart on the Cheap and passed on it trying to decide size and colors. And then poof the chance was gone. Never fished one and I guess I never will.
  4. I'm a little more locked down by a schedule than some. I probably will have to try for a Feb trip if dates can be set. I'll then request the dates off and hope for the best.
  5. Not hardly. Got other stuff going
  6. I'm starting to like Zig Jigs.
  7. I throw mine on Power Pro. It's either 50 lb or 65 lb. I don't remember it has equivalent diameter to 15 lb mono. I want to have a shot at pulling free when it finds wood. I want a 7 foot rod to keep all those hook points and hardware away from me. I'm throwing mine on a frog rod, but that's not ideal. It could be moderately fast and be just fine. I haven't seen anybody say "it's a joy to throw the a rig on X brand rod" throwing the d*** thing is a pain at best. I throw fairly light JIgheads trying to sleep the overall weight down. You can bet rigs with a plastic head or just wire to cut down on weight. Even doing that the things sinks like a brick.
  8. Are you in a witness relocation program?
  9. I can't imagine driving all that way without fishing three days, but what do I know.
  10. I dunked mine in fresh water twice on the way home as well as washed and sprayed inside and out with a hose at the house and still had major issues.
  11. I love grilled walleye, but I ain't gonna lie. Give me a T-Bone anytime.
  12. Cody, Not only can I still see my feet. I can still feel my feet. I'll continue to wear shoes in December Thanks.
  13. Cody. It's not the boat I'm worried about, It's the trailer. I'll be glad to pay my share of gas etc, but it will be my yak if I put one of my boats in salt.
  14. Hey Mike, Little Red Fisherman is the video guru. I'm just the bump on a log that is often captured on video. Bret really has a knack for the video thing, but I doubt we ever get him away from being a full time farmer.
  15. Hey Phil when you get it all lined out, you can get a Taneycomo Trout Rendezvous Thread going. No promises until I see the dates you pick out, but I'd love to be there. Make no mistake, it fishes VERY differently than the White River below BSL.
  16. No problem Rick. We'd love to have you there, but none of these events are mandatory attendence. Yet.
  17. Man, I'm all about it! I have the gear I want to bring and enough to share. My concerns are about what boat would we use. Are there basic boats available for rent? We can bring our own Trolling motors and outboards, but I am not putting any of my boats in the salty stuff.
  18. If I can, I'm in.
  19. There was no video from when I was really catching them. It was crazy.
  20. I own a fly rod. You played the jig game. I'm certainly willing to do the fly rod thing.
  21. Very nice.
  22. I live loca AND I fish year round. Just sayin.
  23. It'd judt the nature of the beast. Most threads are wrecked by the seventh post. I found it amusing that this one got off track on the second post. I don't know that I have bucket list trips for MP. I've done most of the trips I wanted to do. So I have a bunch of MO tips I want to do again and again. I saw an Outdoors in the Heartland show where they were jigging a river in the winter catching Sauger and other fish. I'd like to do that.
  24. I certainly agree that warming trends and warm rain inflow can change things dramatically, but when you live 10 minutes from the White River. I'm not going to trailer an hour on the hopes that a few bass may play. For my bass fishing, 40 surface means " wait a while". Deep water crappie in wintering holes is a different story. In my old stomping grounds, there were several lakes that crappie fishing got very easy when the water got real cold.
  25. De-railed on the second post. Classic.
