  1. Thats correct Phil....I have been a subcriber to mlbtv for a couple of years now....it comes in handy in certain situations.Be careful watching that game while driving .....just kidding....have a safe trip to the Lonestar state and back.
  2. I was reading this thread from my phone sitting here waiting for the loosers to come pick me up for game 7 and all I have to say is Chief...... I love the pics of the first rub of the year from your game camera awsome go cards...........former tourney fisherman who fishes to feed the soul now....rivers or lakes
  3. I don't know what that game was like last night on TV but, in person it was beyound my verbal desciption. The best part, my buddies seats are very good and most of the Rangers upper brass and management, including Nolan Ryan were in our section and they celebrated twice. Each time the look on their faces when David hit these balls is something I will never forget. The uphoria was showering down like a violent thunderstorm.Strangers hugging and kissing each other like jubilant little kids. Last night was quite simply the worst and the best game I have ever witnessed in person and I can't wait to get 5 hours of free time to watch it on my dvr. Tonight could be the happy ending to one of the best baseball stories of all time and I can't wait to get down there. This really shoud be made into a movie if the Cardinals win, it has been an amazing journey.....just rediculous. I can't wait to see the look on Nolan Ryan's face tonight.....soak it up Cardinal fans it doesn't get any better than this
  4. Thank You Brian!!!!!!! we need a whole lot more of that
  5. I was at game 2 and 6 in 82..........long live silent George and I'll never forget Darrell Porter doing Wonder Bread commercials after beeing named MVP.........Willie's coming out party..........Tommy Herr and Mike Ramsey's permed mullets......... Kenny Rietz couldn't hit a lick but could field third base better than Brooks Robinson........Lonnie smith and Kieth Hernandez doing coke on the chartered flights.......Bob Forsch beeing a man.....Stuper coming out of nowhere to help the second half The cards lost game one like 10 to 0 and came home from milwaukee down 3 to 2 and were losing in the sixth in game seven 3 to 1 until George and Kieth came thru and good olde Bruce shut the door. memories.......we are going out the door right now to create some new ones.... hopefully good ones
  6. Dam(n)!!!!! sweet looking fish, thats very nice.
  7. Man that is kind of weird that you guys are all catching the same fish over and over again. I guess with catch and release thats going to happen but, that kind of takes the luster out of it for me. That is one stupid or hungry Rainbow. At least you guys are not sitting up there snagging big Browns and acting like you are doing something......the guys that do that @ Taney are scum in my opinion. It's sad that there are basicly catch and release regs on the upper portion of the river and loosers still have a way to screw with the trophies.
  8. mic, i have a Jackson Coosa and in my opinion for moving water it can't be beat. i'm confident enough in that hull that if you want to try a yak before you buy, you can take my Coosa on a float if you want and see what i'm talking about with the Coosa. pm me if you would like to try it. Scott
  9. And look for the cool pics via the text! can't wait.....they always make me do a spit take at my desk usually
  10. We are going to the game tonight, last night was pretty cool but, chilly. OTF where are the Rockies???? I remember 85, I cried like a baby when Joaquin Adujar blew up like a poisonous dog. Game 6 and 7 in Kansas City is what started my hatred for Kansas and Kansas city in general. The best part of 85 was Jack Clark hitting a bomb off of Niedenfuer in L.A., thats what i take with me. 87 sucked too going back to Minnesota up 3 games to 2 and the homer dome did us in. 04 was brutal but I was able to sell my game 4 seats to some chowder heads from beantown on StubHub for a shitload and went to Couples Negril for 8 days......ya mon!!!!!! I love the cards, I was raised to love the cards. No other National league city has so many oldtimers who have had the oppurtunity to be a fan of team that has won penants across several generations.....it's awsome!!! I drank a couple of beers last night with two guys after the game who went to World Series games in the 40's, they saw the Browns vs the Cards in 44. It was really something to think about talking to these fellas about decades upon decades of Cardinals championship baseball. There aren't people old enough in Chicago to talk about a world series first hand. so to all the haters of Cardinal baseball you could be a Royals fan or a Rockies fan or really skimming the bottom of the barrel, you could be a Cubs fan.....wow that would suck. Come on Jaime!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. Nice Hybrids!!!!! we have been catching those things on the Missouri river.....what a friggin battle!!!! My new favorite fish to catch......that is, when they let me
  12. Sweet pic, Andy!!! I love how your son is posing while fighting the trout.....priceless
  13. Pete, If you saw these texts you would see what I saying I guess I'll break the smallie shots
  14. I'm down, Mike....and I would like to help sponser in some way with my agency. I really hope we can make it happen, I think they are fun events. If you have ever experienced a Riverbassin tourney they pretty cool and brings out some anglers that are really, really good.
  15. Chief, I was out drinking my coffee on the back patio and was thinking of you, one because the Friday Fishin Foto and what you may put up and two because the insightful and provocative text you send me every Friday.I truly enjoy the text every Friday they set my weekend up just right. This isn't a fishin foto but as I was drinking the coffee this morning when Tom and his ladies came by as they do most mornings and I snapped a few shots of them as they eat Sawflower at my feeders in my yard.I'm lucky to live in the few wooded area east of 270 in St.Louis County that holds a ton of wildlife. Chief I hope you and Dylan get some good hunting in this fall sorry about the image quality as I had to zoom in quite a bit and that is the big down fall to small digitals. I have some fishin fotos from this week from the upper Gas but, i thought they would bore you fellas
  16. Wow!!! sweet river smallie....I will say the weight was 3.14 at twenty inches and just over they are usually around 4. Man I wish I lived closer to the Crooked Creek. Very sweet pic, thanks for posting
  17. Both hybrids are cool and horrible in the same sense. I'm with Paul, I wish all the hybrids were like the second one that would be nice. I can always tell when there is a little Spotted bass in there if you look at the eyes....Spot's eyes are different to me. Sweet pics!!!! bummer deal with the Meramec but, all the people that have commented on this thread know full well there are areas on the MEC that hold some real brute Smallies though. I know Mitch had a freakish one on his line earlier this fall......I just wish he could have got some picsbut, we know they are there......just not as many. Mitch, let's go hit some different Hybrids????....let me know
  18. I was a big Rockies fan when I worked for Arapahoe Basin and Dopplemeyer installing gondolas and detached quads....they are my second fav...it's just their stadium is not condusive to a championship, to easy to hit bombs there but, I do love Colorado. i just didn't like the girl to guy ratio in Summit County....I was one of the lucky guys.
  19. Kevin, i would think a weighted Clouser minnow would do the trick???? on a 5wt??? wow I don't think it would last long, these fish in the current are no joke at all and they are right near deep water. One thing i have learned about this forum is that there are some absolute off the charts good fly guys on here like SIO3 or Bman and what they can do with a fly rod i can only dream of....they are some serious artist.I know what yer saying about the IRS
  20. Chief I wish you were closer.....I would take ya today....I'm still going to pop in some day on the way down to TR and make you go near your dad's place and hit some TR bass. The Cards hat???? it's kind of my MO I have about 20 different kinds of Cardinals caps and always wear one while fishing.is Corndawg going to get a deer with a bow this year???
  21. sorry mic I'm a dumbass!!!!! that's pretty funny now that you explained the play on words to my goofy butt...sorry about getting all the sand up my pussy
  22. Bruce and Matt......Holy dung!!!!!!!! Awsome!!!!!!!
  23. darn Pete!!!! very sweet!!! Carlye tailwater or Rend???? that had to be a hell of a battle. Have you been hitting the links???? i can still get on Old Warson on Mondays unlimted play ya just have to walk or we can take the Seaark out and you show me how to get a Hybrid on the long rod....man that would be a trip in some deep water, kind of like trying to wrestle a bear with a rubberband. take care and let me know....all the courses are looking good and the fishing is even better right now....favorite time of year just need time....precious time
  24. Hybrids on a fly would be a trip Pete, I have a 7 and an 8 wt......you would need quite a bit of backing. I would love to try some day. It's good to hear from the SNIO3....I hope all is well???
  25. You are correct Mic, the Missouri River is laced with sediment right now and had been all summer from a massive release of water from way up. I also hate to tell you your precious little Blue Springs Creek where I owned property for a long period of time is laced with pathogens, and Ecoli from Bourbon finest septic systems....pick your poison
