darn stl that's hard to read without being bummed out. I think it's funny when I get crap on this forum about all of the straight up poaching I see on our streams but, the more you put yourself out on our rivers and streams the more poaching you will see. Those two kids could destroy a big section of that creek for years real easy.....I have been witnessing it first hand now on several creeks in the past 10 years. I am not polite as you were.....the MDC is too hamstrung to do anything effectively enough to curtail what is going on with our resources. I know a guy who fishes a creek I fish and this creek has gone down hill recently bigtime. When I saw him at one of the accesses he had several Goggles on a stringer which didn't get me to pissed but, then he proceeded to tell me he had been kicked out of the creek 4 times that week and he was just getting back at the landowners????? He said he would keep coming back and that there was nothing they could do about it. With that sort of mentality out there we are doomed and young kids going out poaching smallies out of season well, we wonder why these rivers and streams aren't fishing like they used to. The Mineral Fork goes thru ebbs and flows with it's fishing being good when not many local wiggers get in there and clean it out. then it will go thru a rough patch where the fishing sucks because the hoosiers feel the need to go brag to some other hoosier they just caught a 16 inch smallie on a minnow. It's a shame because that creek was fishing real good not to long ago......oh well such is life with river fishing in Missouri......let's face as much as fishing is one my of biggest passions in life, it is a niche sport that attracts people who are very naïve. It seems to attract people who feel it is a blood sport and want to show their prize off like they just graduated High School. I just know now I am very abrasive to say the least when I come across things like you witnessed stl, I am not nice in the least and will always call authorities right on the spot and wait by vehicles if possible to report those as well......screw these pieces of crap.

um okay......while you choose to get your panties in a wad because of alleged "Global Warming or Climate Change" and basicly proclaim it is the truth like some armchair climatologist as we are having the coldest spring of all time thus far, seems to be a prevarication. I also find it ironic that you would admit to the warmer water temps being detrimental to the species you seem to covet "Smallmouth Bass" but, you refuse to quit fishing for them when the water temps become very high because of your alleged Climate change???? seems very contrarian to your indoctrinated views of the environment and it's critters. Yeah, even though China is beginning to realize that they are really, really fouling their own nest, I don't see them changing quickly enough to make much difference. Which is only one of the reasons why I'm pessimistic...if global warming is the danger that most scientists say it is, and if it's caused in significant part by CO2, China and probably India are going to be the drivers of it, and we in the U.S. are not going to make enough of the difference even if we do finally agree on the danger. Doesn't mean we shouldn't try, though. Fishing last year was fairly good for me, but I like low water. I don't mind dragging the canoe and wearing out the bottom of it to get into good fishing. This year, at least the first part of the summer, should be very different, but perhaps not better. I do wonder a bit about how ethical it is to fish for cool water fish like smallmouth when the water temperatures climb well into the 80s like they were in so many places last summer...but I'm not going to stop doing it. Hopefully that won't be a problem this year.

I feel bad for Royal's fans as I love your stadium and it's always very easy to get prime seats but, I'm not sure if the Royals will ever win the pennant again. At least I don't feel like I do about cubs fans as I do the Royals.....I always hope for the best for you guys but, the Cubs well it has been just plain fun watching the lovable loosers and their annoying fans get killed every year........my whole life

Eric, we are denied earthquake insurance right now here in Missouri by several companies if you have brick construction or your house was built before 1950 or the type of soil your house is on. It's called underwriting and I think it's still legal in this stupified and dumbed down society we live in now.

The answer to your questions are yes and no.......I'm not sure how you expect to be serious about fishing creeks and not wanting to get in water or water over your shins......It kind of sounds like your joking

interesting.......were they schooling fish or just fish breaking water randomly??? I have been trying on the whites/hybrids and have struck out so far

Smallies Must Be Biting In Northern Ar
Smalliebigs replied to LittleRedFisherman's topic in General Angling Discussion
Crowbar looks like a true Razorback hawg.......looser was fishing with bait and the only legend that dude is in his mind. I must admit I agree with Mitch after clicking on the link on the story about Crowbar and the rode hard and put away wet gal, I was thinking this has Paul Dallas written all over it. Crowbar looks like he may have a few chromosomal disorders, so I don't blame him too much.....I just feel bad for the fisherman down there that cherish nice smallies........I guess Arkansas has no season on Smallmouth??? -
OMG that stement is a pile of dung I still can't understand how people can seriously believe that all the scientists are wrong and the few deniers with scientific credentials are right, that it's some kind of global conspiracy that all the scientists and scientific organizations are in on, that 100% of the scientists who "believe" it are either incompetent, dishonest, or out to get the poor U.S. while 100% of the few who don't "believe" it are fine, upstanding, honest, and competent.....are you kidding me????? hearing the crap this forum offers from our self alleged scientist on a fishing forum makes me laugh to the point of having to drink my Pinot Noir........blah.....blah......blah...... all scientist agree the world is getting hotter based on the last couple of decades of temps and oh and the fact those scientist removed about 500 of the points on the globe where the temps are taken to get an average or the fact that these locales were moved to urban areas where the heat rises from the asphalt like fumes from the devil......this place is funny......who do you guys think you are trying to influence on here with your arm chair fishing science??????

Sweet pics!!!!! you sure know had to make a man feel like crap......can't wait for the rivers here to calm down and rise in temps a tad. The double pics are nice and that Mega Bass bait is a killer if they are on it......very nice report....good for you -
Wow Mizzou is looking like garbage.....CSU is killing them....you would think Mizzou would have a little more heart on the deffensive side??? They are now all out of control now.....this is bad coaching for letting your team run amuck with no heart.
-
you got that right Jerry.....they don't even use him on the offensive end....teams from the WAC won't be top flight D-1 talent. Bucknell just killed me

Stlfisher I couldn't agree more...... the Madness is my favorite time as well. I hate to admit it but, I play in three different brackets that can pay out up to a $1,000,000 and they are all free. Here is my STLtoday pics http://stltoday.collegehoops.upickem.net/collegebasketball/brackets/fullbracket.asp and my ESPN pics http://games.espn.go.com/tournament-challenge-bracket/en/entry?entryID=4511197 and my Foxsports pics http://msn.foxsports.com/fantasy/collegebasketball/tourney/entry/?entry=598851 I always seem to never have enough balls to go with a complete darkhorse in the final four but, I love the brackets.....I love the madness!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just read that the odds of picking a perfect bracket are 1 and 9,233,372,036,854,775,808 or 1 and 9.2 Quintrillion??? pretty good odds
