If someone tells me there is river is not passable because of a log jam and they haven't been putting in people up there because of it......that would be where I would float for sure, the fishing will be killer.....bet on it

Thanks for the clarification Al.....I knew you would know what the deal was Also you aren't that old or at least you sure don't look it hahahaha

I had the pleasure of taking my daughter and Three of her friends to my dad's place at Terre Du Lac by myself as my wife was pulling 12 to 14 hour shifts at the hospital Saturday and Sunday and on call. I took all Four 7 year old girls to Mill Creek where we have a small parcel. Wow!!!! What a workout that was but, some great memories were made I'm sure. I took them back to my dad's place to let him BBQ for them and he let me take a solo canoe over to the Big for a few. The fishing was okay and the river was quite low and I don't take fishing pics anymore so I have nothing there. I floated down from a public access that is located in a small and crappy town on the Big. I notice a large pipe coming strait up out of the river like a fountain in the first decent hole down stream . The water was shooting strait up in the air and a decent flow....it didn't smell that great and the amount of green algae in that area in the water was startling. I find it hard to believe that the town of Leadwood or a landowner would be allowed to just pump water into the river like that.....I am probably making something out of nothing but, you bet I reported it.....seemed weird to me. Al Agnew I was wondering if you have ever witnessed this pipe and what the deal is??? This post has been promoted to an article

Great job MDC!!!!....they went after a clown once in Crawford County after we called them and notified them about the poaching with spear guns. I would venture to say that happens on streams close to the Arkansas border more often than we may think. I thought there is a fair chase clause built into the game code in Missouri??? Sorry but, selectively going through a group of fish and cropping off the biggest with a spear does not fall under that IMO. I think the MDC is ahead of the curve in regards to our game code compared to some states. The problem is we have too many clowns around who just don't give a f@ck and are only on a river or impoundment to stroke their ego and show off some meat.

Catching a fish on a lure from outside of the water is a little more of a fair chase IMO but, that's only my opinion. I'm very happy Missouri doesn't allow gamefish to be stabbed.

Are you in the Destin area???....if so go to Love Park when the tide is going in or out and you access the jetties on the East Pass. Redfish....big Redfish, Spanish Mac's, Ladyfish, Flukes, Pompano everywhere over there......very good fishing from the shore there......just need a White Pompano jig, White buck jig or topwater.....a White fluke on a 3/4 ounce jighead will work too

Sweet!!!!

Yes sir...small hair jig will catch them like crazy....most of mine are accidental catches

Mayweather may win but, he has no power. He may out score Connor but, he won't knock him out. Mayweather will run and stay outside as he always does and he will stick Connor with some weak posterior punches like he always does and it will go the distance. It will be a typical Mayweather fight....boring and weak and it will go to the judges and he will win. I just hope Connor kicks him then it would be cool in my opinion.....but he would get sued by the chump who allegedly is having a hard time paying his taxes, what a moron. It will be a typical Mayweather fight and a complete ripoff if you are paying for it. He will not knock him out though, only tap his face with jabs.....who cares???

Yes they do.....I have been nailing them pretty regularly post flood here...but now I don't take pics anymore because of my superstitious brain. I lost my phone and took my sweet time replacing it. During that time I have been nailing very nice fish and crazy numbers so....no more pic s for me for awhile and pics suck when you are fishing alone anyway....I.E see below You can nail nice ones though if you have some patience and don't mind losing a ton of lures

Hahahaha.....I have great respect for all you guys.....I am on the verge of 50 and I am a lover now not a fighter

MoPanfisher I agree 100% it will decimate the section of stream in my opinion. As much as it makes my skin crawl to see people harvesting fish from a small and beautiful stream like the little Sugar I can't help but, wonder why we think it's wrong or detrimental to the stream??? Or better yet why does that opinion fly in the face of the creel limits set by the MDC for bass on streams??? Are their laws on creel limits based on the fact that they bank on a ton of conservation minded Missouri fisherman to be CnR for bass on streams??? Then just a few meat hunters it's okay for them to keep some meat because a certain number of fishernan are concerned about the fishery and throw everything back....if this is their thinking, which I highly doubt, they are flawed as hell in being put in charge of conserving our river fisheries.
-
It happens all the time on many streams I like to fish. The game is to be able to go where nobody has fished in awhile, then the fishing will be good. If the meat hunters have been there or even people who don't take proper care of the fish they may or may not be releasing has huge effect on success rates.
-
I only count 15 Bass there.....I wonder how many in the family were fishing??? or did they have their out of state permits????.....if they did and it was 3 people fishing they were well with in the laws set up by our State agency, the MDC. I am not trying to be an posterior Brit as it pisses me off big time but..... you can legally put a beat down on streams in Missouri legally there is no doubt about it.

I have a friend who moved to Dade County Florida and does paddle board trips for people and they target Peacocks and Snakeheads as they will both take a fly very well. He is living the dream......his wife is a NP and he fishes for Peacocks all day in canals, although he has to deal with the rouge alligator now and then, he seems to be my happiest friend -

Absolutely AWESOME......kudos man!!!!! the best fight in fresh water???....possibly a very fresh Steelhead or Koho, those would be my only other fish to compare to a Grassy.....otherwise you have to go saltwater IMO..... I have heard Peacocks are freight trains
