Try covering them with vasoline or any oil product & wait until they back out. The oil cuts off their ability to breath (takes about 10-15 min.). Give it a try. -

I caught 4 nice trout up by Bull Island in Taney last trip (was looking for crappie or white bass). Flicker shad is an all around good lure.
