Be careful not to elect to get the steroid shot in the lower back. The surgeon said it was that or a lot of screws & bolts for me. The first one was ok about a week. Two months later I went back to Cox for the second one (the Dr. said it usually took three for it to work properly). Walked into the treatment room & came out on a gurney. About 30 minutes later they wheeled me to the waiting car & sent me home. That was Pearl Harbor Day (Dec 7). As of today I have almost recovered the use of my left knee & the back is still killing me. The boat is still setting in my shop with dead batteries. Oh well - life happens when you get past 50.

, go to Harter House and pick up a Tri-Tip sirloin roast. You got that right about the Tri-tips. Best flavor and usually you have medium, rare & well done on one piece of meat. Lately more stores are selling them (Price Cutters). I cook them 20 min. per side & fat side up the second half on the Egg. Never had a bad one.

This has been a good fall for lettuce crop. I am almost tired of backbones & wilted lettuce but the spinach didn't do much this fall.
