  1. After my bone marrow transplant the Dr's. Told me.in no uncertain terms that sunlight us no longer your friend. Something about the chemo changes your ability to resist damage from sunlight. I tried to be good I really did. But to e pect me to avoid sun would be like telling FW to become a biologist. Neither is likely so there is a price to be paid. Unlikely that it will be a melanoma that does me in, but it is certainly a possibility. Or possibly as my wife alluded to I might just be a human cockroach that will out live her. I will bring beer and brats to discuss spiritual matters, cause I am not very good at it.
  2. What fun would it be if God only worked on saving "nice" people.
  3. This was from Wednesday. Have two this time don't know if this was the basal cell one or the squamous cell one. Point it, think of it like a bad electrical outlet. It isn't a big issue until suddenly it is. If it metatasizes it is too late to do anything. It should be a fairly simple removal. As the very nice surgeon lady said. The tumor removal was textbook, sewing it all back together sonic looks "right" is artistry. Just do it and be done with it.

    What's Cooking?

    I like dinty Moore stew.
  5. Cold frame is almost ready to get some lettuce, radish, spinach and maybe some beets this week.

    What's Cooking?

Update well they came out perfect. Temp right on 205 when I got back from moving some hay. Pulled apart like it was pre shredded, juicy and just dang delicious. Gonna have to do it again.
  7. I say to China send over a couple more, let's get this F-22 pilot up to an ace. We haven't had one since Vietnam. Not quite the same as a combat kill but still a "kill".
  8. What pray tell is this new breed called. Pomapoo.

    What's Cooking?

Put a couple pork butts in the electric smoker about midnight. Wrapped them in foil at 0900 to keep them from drying out. Should be done by 12 or 2. Smelling dang good, my contribution to the superbowl party tonight.
  10. Troll with it for big muskie?
  11. Everything a cat does is for himself.
  12. For you fellers that enjoy raising chicken, more power to you. I had too many years with them.growing up raising and butchering 250 or more every year to ever want to own a live chicken again. With the possible exception of free ranging banties. Only problem with them was where they come to perch tended to be in the shop buildings.
  13. Other days we think maybe you left your rocker in some other house. 🤣
  14. For some reason I am picturing chicken pecking human parts. The nasty things would happily do it.
  15. I bet it did cast well!
  16. You can spend s lot of nights in motels for what a travel trailer will cost ya. She should smack ya!
  17. Well I still don't k ow anything about weed and don't really care too. When I was a kid a deputy sheriff stopped as we were working in the garden. Asked if he could take a look, looked at the tall old school okra plants thanked us and left. I suspect that what recreational pot will do is help those who have no desire or intent to work or do anything other than lounge around to be even better at it. I worry more about those on the lakes with slightly diminished reaction times, or diminished decision making abilities, but there are plenty around anyway.
  18. I gotta admit I have no idea what that means. And not in a "what did oneshot say". I am assuming that indica is a variety, brand, color, flavor, choice or something.
  19. I haven't looked lately but I think they now have 3 of them big old buildings. When I was a kid when had some corn fields that were smaller. They have some serious looking HVAC units on the outside of the buildings.
  20. I can barely see a big jet at less altitude I seriously doubt I could see a balloon at 60k feet unless maybe it had a bright blinking light. I say we test one of our airborne laser units. Burn a hole completely through the instrument package and let it float on. No risk of inadvertent damage on ground. Who know it could be pa ked with COVID 23 virus or fortune cookies who knows.
  21. They did a major upgrade at the substation in Humansville to be able to provide them sufficient power, and have a substation at the east end where it meets the road. Would be interesting to know how many megawatts they use a month.
  22. NWS uses and gets data from a LOT of places to let the computers crunch data for more localized storm forecasts.
  23. East side of town yep. Heck I ain't hard to find. Several years back a uddy who had been to my house before couldnt remember exactly how to get here. He stopped at the barber shop in town to ask. The barber said I ain't busy, locked the door and led him out here. I like to drive by the flora farms when there is a decent southerly breeze with my windows down.
  24. Ask me again the day after I retire. I will purchase a brownie. Have a very large Flora Farm operation a couple miles from me. Actually I would fully trust their quality as it is a HUGE facility and they take have I think 2 or 3 large grow houses. I just have to be careful because I like brownies but am pretty sure I am not supposed to eat a whole one. Had a class put on by MSHP a few days ago they talked about how possession is now civil and not criminal so you could have bales of it in your card and he wouldn't even look twice. However driving impaired regardless of why is still a crime and they could arrest and prosecute on that basis. I am thinking nibbling on a brownie while fishing from the bank will either make me not care about whether I catch fish or not or I will be curled up on the ground asleep for a while.
  25. That depends on the time of year, how long it has been there, and what hit it. Sorry I forgot. What the heck are you thinking wasting that much good edible meat, people like you should stick to catching white bass. There hows that.
