  1. The new ford's we have at work have to electronic parking brakes. They will release by using the same button you use to set it also. They also have a setting that will shut off the engine if you set still for more than 10 seconds or so and start up as soon as you release the brake or move anything. But it can be deactivated easily.
  2. Bill of Sale would be a good idea. If I were selling and someone refused to sign a bill of sale it would be over right then and there.
  3. Dutch, I think the only requirement on a private sale is the buyer must be 18 yrs of age. ? ? ?
  4. Good for the soul, excellent description.
  5. It wouldn't be MDC, but I seem to remember hearing that it was reccomended but don't remember anything about required.
  6. Very nice, I love catching bluegill.
  7. That would be a great way to experience jail.
  8. Those bring back some very hazy memories that shul probably not be relived. I love trin different things, I will sample different beers, wines etc. just about anywhere, many have been terrible others pretty good.
  9. But but it's NEW, and thus good for us.
  10. I remember having a plastic tank sucked seemed like to about half its size before the engine quit. Course my ATV quit once and after messing with it I discovered that one of my kids (I blame them) had shUT the bent on the fuel cap. I have no idea if it was a federal agnency who mandated it or not. I do know that whomever decided that gas cans should be changed to the point that they are almost useless is the real bad guy.
  11. We used some Plastic 2x4s on a boat at work. I was highly un-impressed. While they should never deteriorate they also need some support as don't have much structural rigidity. A second piece on edge behind them solved the issue. The second part is, don't unhook the bow until you are far enough back for the boat to splash if it self launches, which can happen easily with the slick plastic boards.
  12. That one is a chunk!

    What's Cooking?

Well the chicken is done and I actually got some pics of it. The bright white streak is sunlight sneaking between the door and the smoker. Also the caprese pasta salad thing. The green beans they are just green beans. The real proof comes in about another hour and a half when we eat.
  14. I can do better for distance and accuracy with a spinning rod/reel. Mostly because I have a LOT more time with one. I can do just fine with a bait caster too, but once I get down to say a flicker shad or shad rap in weight I do better with a spinning rig. Never measured how far thought with either.

    What's Cooking?

RPS your home made pizza always make me hungry. Tomorrow is our night to cook for our Sunday supper group. I have 16 chicken leg quarters bring in a basic brine of 1 cup salt and 1 quarter sugar to a gallon of water. I then go through and add whatever catches my eye to the pot. This time it was a bunch of peppercorns, a handful of lemon basil and rosemary from my wife's herb garden, some soul food seasoning, some Weber kicking chicken, and an old lemon quartered up. I often use these opportunities to empty out some seasoning bottles that are almost empty anyway. Simmered it all up, dumped it in a cooler, and added a bag of ice. My goodness it does smell.good though. Come early afternoon it will all go into the smoker to be ready for supper. Wife is planning some fresh green beans, and some sort of caprese salad, but it involves pasta so not sure what it will actually be. I will do my best to add some pics before it all gets devoured.
  17. Now that's a cool club.
  18. As I get older I am less concerned with an audience. The clean break is under appreciated, but then again I have sacrificed socks, underwear, sleeve of a shirt, and jersey gloves (not all at the same time thankfully). Gotta do what ya gotta do. I did learn after chemo and the daily chemo pill that you never pass up a good opportunity to go to the bathroom, sometimes you don't get much warning. You get some real head shaking looks from fishing buddies when you don't take those opportinities.
  19. I will give it a shot, no pun intended. Will be a while before I get back to a town big enough to look for it.
  20. You lost me at yoo-hoo! I didn't used to lIke Scott but for some reason it just was delicious.
  21. Probably not enough flow in flat creek compared to the james.
  22. I do its a Cardinal and a Ford Key, and they appear to have puked up a baby bass and a baby big head carp.
  23. Lazy Ike is one of my favorite creek lures. Used to throw one a lot.
  24. Yes, Truman wasn't dropping as fast with the extra water from recent storms, which put Truman and Pomme out of balance. As soon as Truman gets caught back up releases from Pomme will go up as well. Hopefully we can avoid storms like the one that hit Cassville and deluged them with 8 inches of rain. Summer pattern storms with localized pop up showers are not a big issue, but one like that would not be good.
  25. I recently found an adult beverage that I really like. On the night we put our old Border Collie down I sid I needed some liquid support for the rest of the night. Stopped at a Brown Derby in Spfld to peruse the options, had to be something befitting the occasion. Settled on a 12 yr old single malt scotch by Glenfiddich I believe. Opened the bottle and oh my did it smell good. Straight it was a bit more than I could handle, but cut with some coca cola and a couple nice cubes it was delicious. A good double shot with coke will make my knees a little wobbly and has now become a staple once or twice a week, albeit in a smaller amount. Good sipping beverage as I was the new Border Collie pup romp around the house.
