  1. Spawn time "funk". With the incoming rain forecast it will be on after things stabilize. Keep after em fellas.
  2. Talk about getting snake bit!!!
  3. Fished the 2nd tournament qualifier and all I can say is Grind baby grind!!! The fish are in spawn mode with one thing in mind and it is not eating! Some how I scraped up a limit worth 10.28 lbs and finished with an 8 the place check. Junk fished with a black/blue jig- 1 keeper, 3 keepers on red Rock crawler, 1 on a homemade 3/4 oz blade with big double willow leafs. Covered 1 mile up Kings river all the way back to Baxter. Did catch a handful of shorts through the day. Wt: 58 in the clear water-61 in the colored water. Good luck to all!!!
  4. They would have won more with their incentives if the tournament had 60 boats, they had 55 on Sunday.
  5. Anglers in Action brought in a 8lber!!! Sunday.
  6. Took the family on an outing for a couple hours after church this evening. Spinner bait caught 4 spots, red wart caught the big one, my better half had bragging rights today. Bananas in a boat brings me luck. Life doesn't get any better, hope everyone has great week. Wt 55-55.6.
  7. Fished a club Derby today, caught several keepers and several shorts. Weighed just under 12lbs. However, if someone comes across a 3.5lber with a red Rock crawler in it's mouth it belongs to me! It tried to throw it by jumping 4 times. Had a good time if it wasn't for the rock snot. Wt 52.5-54.5.
  8. Hey, they winners of the Joe Bass caught them cranking and jerk bating. Most of the fish were caught on a Rock Crawler. +1 for the non-A-riggers.
  9. Good for her. I knew some big bags would be caught in the snow.
  10. I will add if you go down a bank a certain way and catch a few or feel that there are more there, if conditions allow turn around the other way and often time it will yield some more bites.
  11. Mud attracts shad also, I would believe it has some kind of algae on it that brings in the shad no matter if it's warm or cold. I would also add where mud is there is runnoff, current that congregates the mud. Just my opinion about mud.
  12. Put a plug in for your OAF sponsor!!!?
  13. Mr. McStick has a solid looking bag in the box according to the photos. Only bone I have to pick about the coverage is that the blog hasn't had much updates and the photos are not taking pictures of the other leaders. I understand taking photos of McClellend or other top pro's but there needs to be a bit more coverage unless they don't have a full staff running around lake. It isn't that hard for the media people to casually ask some of the pro's what area of the lake are you fishing so they can get some coverage of them or swing by an ask how their day is going.
  14. Hope Mike and Harvey well. Keep it up guys.
  15. Dang! That wart is mine! Just kidding.
  16. 47lbs will be solid, but I think to win it will be closer to 49-50 lbs. Weather looks to be stable. Locals should have advantage.
  17. I knew the better fisherman would catch a monster! Good guiding Champ, way to finesse that fish to the boat Donna.
  18. Experienced the down fall of Petrino our football team could have been great. Fish are definitely biting so we can enjoy that!
  19. At least the hogs will be dancing this year!
  20. Champ, you will catch a big one on the blade. Take good pictures!!!
  21. One color for clear water: Ghost Minnow. Stained water:. Something with chartreuse/orange belly.
  22. Great Job. I need to give them spoons a better workout than what I do. It's hard for a bank beater to fish past 20ft.
  23. Same here I had what I weighed by 1015. Caught my 6th keeper at 145 but didn't help me any.
  24. Thanks guys for the compliments, this forum is to help fellow anglers be successful on one the greatest/challenging lakes in the country. My finish is a compliment of all the anglers who post information on this forum so we all can experience some success. Thanks to all. We will see how the next one goes.
