  1. I probably won't get one anytime soon since I have the app on my phone, but I'd say its good move and long over due. I've always wandered why an agent couldn't just scan my heritage card or look up my conservation number to see what licenses I have. I didn't mind so much when they would give you the indestructible yellow tags, but I didn't like when they switched to the delicate regular copy paper.
  2. I'm sure it will be amazing, the huge outdoor screen is pretty impressive. Maybe I'll be able to find a Groupon for it so I can afford to take the family to see inside.
  3. hmm, I should have checked here and drove a little further to hit up the Neosho today. I fished Lost Creek and the 10c Bridge, only manage 3 whites and an average sized carp.... which was really fun to bring in. Congrats on what sounds like a fun day.
  4. That was my thought as well. I plan to try it out early next week since we should have some rain and a string of warm days in a row.
  5. LOL -- If one link fails the whole chain will fail! I highly recommend the JDE guide service.
  6. Thanks for posting lymorej A fun tango to say the least! That's a crappie jig in his mouth and I was using my light gear. This is one that won't be forgotten.

Thanks guys, I ended up going to Table Rock with a buddy instead.
  8. Hey Tommy, Is there a website that tells when the fish will be stocked or are you just seeing more fish?

Weather man says it should be dry till Friday. Do you think the creek will be close to normal flow or fishable on Thursday or Friday morning?
  10. If you don't get any takers for a private pond, you can always go to Rutledge-Wilson Farm. They'll charge a few bucks to fish their stocked pond, but I think you get some worms with that. I took my son that's about the same age and we were the only ones fishing on a Saturday. Plus when he got board there were plenty of other things to do.
  11. Very cool! I wonder if it had been in his mouth from the previous year when he was running up the river to spawn.
  12. I don't know how you did it, but it obviously worked for you. I was a little further up river Friday and couldn't keep a crank bait clean, after just about every cast it would come up covered in moss and junk. This was my first time fishing the James, maybe it clears up as you go down stream IDK? I switched to top water and had a fun morning in the river, caught several bass in the 10 to 13" range and one big blue gill.
  13. I've been somewhat looking for a pair of wading shoes myself. I had a pair of water shoes, made for the beach or a swimming pool, but they wore out fast. They had an incredibly thin amount of felt on the bottom but although there wasn't much, it made a big difference going over slick rocks. The soles on most wading or water shoes usually aren't any better than the old pair of Nike's I usually wear to the creek. I don't want to go to a full fledged boot because I like to think if I needed to swim out of something I could in shoes or at least kick them off if needed. I've been thinking something like this might work pretty well depending on how soft the sole is: http://www.target.com/p/men-s-c9-by-champion-titus-water-shoes-black/-/A-15067290#prodSlot=medium_1_5&term=water+shoes
  14. I have buddy that does just that, minus the handing out of cards.LOL They have a boat slip within eye shot of the ramp at Stockton. He says most of the major blowups are at the end of the day when couples are buzzed, hungry, sunburned, exhausted and now somehow have to back a trailer up and get a boat on it. Little more, little more.... NO too far pull up...... now to the right... your other right.
