  1. Fished Eagle Rock area yesterday evening with my friend Terry. Caught some realy nice ones and a bunch of smaller ones. Spinner bait and supper spook was our ticket. Put in at 5:30 pm and off the water at 9:30. This was my biggest and Terry had his big one about the same size.
  2. Leather wood was around 57 if I remember right but Panther was 58. I went way back to see if I could see any beds starting but didn't see any.
  3. I put in at 11:30and fished in Leatherwood creek for about 1 1/2 hrs. I caught 7 all on a sb and lost three even with a trailer hook. I cought 4 of of one little point 2 being keepers. They were hanging on the rock ledges and some were on wood or brush in about 3 to 6 feet. It was a mix of spots and lm. The sun was in and out. Once the sun disappeared for good the bite stopped. I went to a couple other spots - nothing. Moved to Panther and cought 1 more keeper.
  4. I have heard the whites are going good up the Kings by the 86 bridge.
  5. Those are some nice ones and you weren't kidding on a fat white!
  6. I don't know who caught it but a 3.6 was runner up. The 4-15 bumped me to 3rd. It was a great day of fishing and I had fun. This has been the only tourney I have fished in the last couple years and I enjoy it. Thanks Quillback for all the work you put into this.
  7. It was a great day for fishing and enjoying great food with everyone. Thanks everyone!

  10. Definately praying for you guys.
  11. I caught an 8# 2 years ago come April.I beleive I posted a pic of it but my arms are were to short to fit her all in the picture. It was Eagle Rock area.
  12. I'll bring lettuce, tomato and onion.
  13. James McManus and I will be fishing it. Looking forward to it and hoping my trim works!😊
  14. Very nice!
  15. Fished out of Eagle Rock. Put in at 7 am. Fish were busying the surface occasionally so tried top water around the dock and down the bank. Nothing. Tried jerk bait- nothing. Went halfway back in Panther and the schooling was going pretty good. I tried a several top waters an nothing. So I tied on a ned with a little 3 inch white senko and swam it through the schools. Bingo! I stayed on them a couple of hours. Caught several keepers with a few 2 - 2 1/2 liners. After they quit I went the bridge and cought a very nice smally on the old roadbed. Went up to mouth of Roring River and cought a few here and there, all small until I saw some busting the surface off a point. First cast to that area I caught one that was 3 1/2 to 4 lbs. All spots except for the one sm. Fun day and beautiful weather.
  16. That's what I was thinking when I saw the picture!
  17. Went out yesterday afternoon -- I sucked. I caught 1 short spot on a jig and had another one on a swim bait but lost it.
  18. Maybe the eclipse will make for an "evening" bite. 😉
  19. I have a stratos ss extreme. Last time I went out I caught most my fish on a jig a couple weeks ago. Water temp 82. I fish mostly TR out of Holiday Island or Eagle Rock but do fish Beaver on occasion. I also like to go down to Dardanell somtimes and other small. Lakes in that area.
  20. Got on the water about 2, got to my first spot and it started raining about 5 minutes after I got there. It was windy at the time so threw a crank. Nothing. SB, nothing. Tied on a small rapala jerk/slash bait and cought 5 small ones. Moved to a couple places and caught 3 or 4 more. The sun came out and couldn't get a bite. Went to the mouth of Panther Creek. Cought one on the slash bait when a school surfaced briefly and my first keeper on a jig with a paca craw trailer in 8 ft of water off a log. Headed back toward HI and caught another keeper on the jig in 12 ft. Went down the bluff bank and fished a tree that had the hole top in the water. Caught another keeper, three shorts and lost one all in the same tree. Got off the water about 8:30. Never seen as many ski boats and wake makers on the upper end as I did yesterday. There were a couple of times I just sat it down and idled, the waves were coming from all directions.
