  1. Perfect conditions for a float....
  2. Think I'd keep my stringer clipped to my wader belt instead of 30' away......Move out of your spot... Someone might take it. Better luck tomorrow.
  3. Glad you had fun! Thanks for the report & pics,
  4. Hope you like them Mitch. Need to finish up a 5'6" Northfork Composites casting blank rated for 1/4-5/8oz. Its going to have a 4" straight cork grip, Fuji ACS seat, Alconite Guides and a Titanium SiC tip top..I really like that Fuji ACS casting seat..this will be the 3rd rod that I've used it on. Glued up my first split grip spinning rod set up yesterday..6' Medium Batson Blank.Fuji SK2 split grip reel seat..There was alot of measuring, fit, and glue work involved...Took more time and effort to mount split grip instead of a standard seat. Probably not much in terms of weight savings. Biggest advantage..Cost. Less than $15 in the handle assembly v. $25+ for a standard spinning grip handle using cork.

  8. Keep your oil temp at 350 or the fillets get soggy...
  9. The BB is not a very wade friendly river..Too many long deep slow holes, small gravel bars, and high mud banks but you can find a few spots on it and the other Meramec tributaries. Buy a Delorme Gazeteer, hunt around on Google Earth, burn some gas. I'm sure you will find a honey hole here and there. .
  10. Looks nice...You want another one? Still have this one...Looks like Lazer Rainbow Trout
  11. Anything beats nothing an it will get you out with your son...Try them for a year. If you dont like em, take a small haircut on craigslist and get something else. You will have a better idea about what you like/dont like at that point.
  12. I wouldnt want anything under 10' long...12' preferably.
  13. Nice haul!
  14. Lent can be tough...but only 2 days to go...Hang in there;>)!
  15. Color doesnt matter that much but you want an assortment and a good hook.Grey's and Tans mostly...some with orange thread, some with color to match the dubbing..If your tying on a curved shank use a TMC 2499 for 16 and smaller. 16 and smaller down eye scud hooks dont seem to keep fish hooked very well, YMMV. .
  16. Dunno if they work...but I know that you spent a $1 on that hook. LOL!
  17. Thats sweet! Looks like a #6 KVD Short Shank on the back. Could be great ripped across riffles, or drifted/popped near bank structure changes.
  18. Thought you were providing the homeless with transport to Nawlins for a second. Should not be a hard sell but you need to find a charity that does what you want
  19. I can wait a bit. Usually dip popper heads in a can of paint if I need a bunch in short order.
  20. Looks like a good trip. Thanks for the report & pics.
  21. Caught out of a fish farm? Looks like a pellet eating slob.
  22. Wrong weekend...but should be fun. Looked like the Dallas clan had some fun this weekend!
  23. Awesome pics! Awesome country up there!
  24. You gotta be a be a doofus numbnuts to post your guns and your future vacation plans of Facebook....The CPS & Cops...walked...bit of a hassle but a tempest in a teapot.
  25. Bet most were caught legal and the eggs got sold to those Russian fellows...Cant really make a moral judgement against folks who sold trash for treasure...Illegal yes...but kinda a who cares...MDC needs to set up a legal trade in spoonie eggs...Its not like they arent abundant.
