  1. Should be easy to make one from some Lazy Susan parts & some plywood.. http://www.woodcraft.com/Product/2001061/573/Lazy-Susan-12-516-Thick-Capacity-1000-lbs.aspx
  2. Great color & a nice profile.......25" or so?
  3. One thing that struck me was the orientation of the jig...when it was sitting there horizontally, the fish ate it...when it went vertical they seemed to lose interest.
  4. They look easy to make....will have to give them a shot. Thanks.

    Trout Jigs

Lilley's tackle shop should have what you need. http://lilleystacklestore.com/xcart/home.php?cat=269
  6. It can still get pretty cold in late March...so the smallmouth might not be all that active...I'd probably float 8 to Scott's Ford so I'd have the option of catching trout & smallmouth. Adventure Outdoors is located at Scott's Ford or you might call Green's for that area. The better scenery is down further though...I like the Onandaga to Blue Spring stretch...two possible floats on that stretch...Onandaga to Campbell Bridge, or Cambell to Blue Spring. I'd call Ozark Outdoors or Blue Spring Ranch for floats in that area. There are some wild rainbow trout down in Blue Spring Creek as well. Cheers.
  7. Chuck's is a good one....anyone remember the blue meany? Never caught a thing on it....but I've always done well with the original red butt....the way Gulley ties it.
  8. Heres a way to pop the hook out of a gut hooked bass...It works. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1128002349/16#16
  9. Your soft hackle should work well...reminded me of a Franz Pott tie...and look what turned up. http://montana-riverboats.com/index.php?page=Fly-Tying/Franz-Pott/Shadow-Box-Flies/Yellow-Fizzle FWIW, you can always salvage a C.Back, Bugger, or other hackled fly if the hackle breaks...just wrap back and tie in a new one..The fish will never know. Cheers.
  10. Not in my back yard!...Think I'd be fine with a nuclear plant, but not coal fired...too many coal cars running through Webster and messing with traffic as is plus emmissions...Solar...I dont think it offers much bang for the buck. Cheers.
  11. Nice brown!
  12. Too much information.... Keep your candy in the water...play with it....listen to what the trout say.
  13. Snowpocalypes! Heck...I spent a buck twenty at the store tonight, but most was wine & beer....but we needed a jug o milk, some stuff to make some venison stew, and the fixins for some linguine with chicken livers, breakfast for a day or two... and some kiddo reqests...if it gets really bad...I might round up the backpack and walk there...might take a half hour one way....probably less.
  14. Looks like ya had a great time! Thanks for the report.
  15. You arent the hold up TC....looks like 7 out or 12 are in...5 of 12 running late including me.......did some iron butt tying tonight....but its time to stop for the night...could send em now and who would know....but they need a tweek or two to make em fish catchers......should be done tomorrow...in the mail by Friday.
  16. 34 south out of Piedmont is a good one if you like roller coasters;>)!
  17. Thats a good price for that 8wt Sage Fli...but I'm long on 8wts....lots of em turn up on on the auction sites...bought for a trip...used lightly. Cheers.
  18. I have a couple of Pentax...a 6 year old WPi (6mp) and the new w90(12mp)...both are no brainer cameras that take good pictures...the WPi has been impossible to kill and it still has good battery life..absolutely no complaints with that camera as long as you stay out of the digital zoom. I wouldnt have replaced it, but it disappeared for a couple of weeks and I thought our 20 month old tossed it in the trash can (she was into that just before Christmas). Picked up the W90 to replace it, and upon coming home...our 3.5year old asked why daddy got a new camera..Said I lost the old one and she said "Oh, I found it" then she ran down to her room and came back with the WPi..Astonished I just said Thanks..... Thought about taking the w90 back, but it was time for an upgrade...its a big improvement over the WPi.
  19. They have done some work on Mill & Barren Fork..and they did some work on Spring Creek years ago...The Little Piney is pretty ripped up...you can really tell where the FS owns the land v. most private holdings...lots of gravel mining damage & cattle in the creek in several places. Not sure if lunker structures would work on that creek though...its got a long narrow drainage and experiences some extreme flash floods...I'd imagine that anything they put in would wash away during an extreme high water event. Cheers.
  20. Nice report...but I'd be more concerned about black bears on the 11pt...lots of sightings down that way. Cheers.
  21. The Grey's rods are nice for the price...What do you intend to use it for?
  22. Hit the "Make your Reservation Know Button"--->I know my park-------->Bennett----->Enter the info about your stay and check each Campground loop...Its a PIA, but thats the DNR reservation system. Cheers.
  23. I'd forget about both of them and buy a Lamson Konic....I've never had great luck with Ross...Cheers.
  24. I havent been to Bennett in years...but we camp in the State parks allot...You can check for available campsites here... http://mostateparks.com/campres.htm It costs a couple bucks more to reserve online, so if the CG appears to be empty...head on down and take your chances with one of the first come first served sites or an un-reserved site. Cheers.
  25. Nice report...looks like you had a grand time...If you looking for a new camera you might want to take a look at the Pentax W90...picked one up to replace my old Pentax WPi that I thought my daughters lost...The Canon D10 is nice too, but I didnt like the shape.
