  1. Trump wont show his tax returns because he has never paid any income tax...Real Estate developers only pay income taxes when they sell property for a big gain. Cash flow is great, but its all offset by depreciation. Kids working at McD's probably pay more income tax than DJT. I'm sure his returns are legit, because they are done by a top 100 CPA firm, and they don't do crap returns like Block.
  2. If you are referring to the TCJA....The legislation gave most people a few crumbs, soaked the upper middle class high wage earners, gave public companies a 15% tax cut, and a 20% tax cut for small business owners. My business clients were making out like bandits with the 20% QBID deduction until this virus stuff hit...And most made out like bandits with the PPP virus stimulus. I help them do it. Our stupid govt, makes stupid rules and I help my customers benefit from their stupid rules. I will always have secure employment thanks to the idiots in DC & States across the country.
  3. Trump will take MO in November, so you are all wasting your time arguing about it. You can vote for someone else, but it wont matter...Just my take, I can't stand Trump, or Biden, or Sanders, or Pelosi, or McConnell, gonna quit wasting my time now. Trump raised my taxes considerably.
  4. Boat wiring is simple....Used to do swaptronics, and chase wires on military aircraft. One box might have 4-5 100 pin cannon plugs on it including 3 phases of a/c power. Check power to the devices and the the grounds, then replace the bad components. Aircraft have fault codes, not sure if boats do, but it is old tech. Most vehicles have fault codes , but the MFG's will not disclose how to access them. Crooked IMO. It's swaptronics 95% of the time. Power on one side, ground on the other. Real simple. You are not playing with $50K+ components.
  5. Looks like a green sunfish, and a longear sunfish. Nice double!
  6. As good as it gets on the Meramec!
  7. Buy and re sell some useless crap and use this phrase. Honey, I’m going to see a man about a boat
  8. Market hunting has not been legal for almost 100 years. Migratory birds, and bird parts are still highly regulated. Got to label each bird with species, date of kill and keep a feathered wing attached In transport. You can’t toss em in a pile until your group limits out and divy them up. Always keep your own birds separate, and labeled, from the other folks birds. Colored zip ties work well. Each person gets a color.
  9. There is a good podcast on the “Feather Thief”, worth listening to. I just buy my materials. Let someone else process, clean, and dye the stuff. It is cheap enough, unless your a geeked out salmon fly tyer. Used to tie fancy stuff, did lots of tying classes, don’t really tie much anymore. Still depleting old supplies of tied flies and my daughters haven’t made a dent in my supply stash with their crafting.
  10. Fun float from Sunburst to the Landing today. Wife’s gal pal & daughter joined us yesterday and we took our friends daughter on her first float. Had 2 12 year old girls and the cooler in a rented tandem canoe all day, so no fishing for me. Wife caught an18” striper between Patrick & Althea Spring. It broke her little ultralight but got it to hand, Headed home tomorrow. River is getting too crowded, campground full today-Sunday. Will be back in the fall. Nobody wearing masks, so bring yours. The Sinclair in Cabool is an easy pull through if you need gas, and propane tank fills with an RV in tow.
  11. Floated last two days out of Sunburst. Family float yesterday and my girls did very well on the float. Did not fish much, just safety boating. But all ran the Falls. Did solo today, out of Kelly. First fish was a 10” Smallmouth in the first Riffle. Had my hands full in the pool below. Big Stiper smacked my Jerkbait and towed my Kayak around for about 5 minutes, before it left me. Could not get the fish and kayak to the bank to land it. No net, and a triple treble Megabass in its face. Caught some trout, a couple smallmouth on the way back to Sunburst.. Bunch of Big Stipers in the deep hole not far below River of Life. Need heavier tackle and a big net for next trip. Floating down from Sunburst tomorrow, will be looking, and family floating.
  12. Just get new toons for it. Round ones. And learn to row. Can’t say I’m good at Rowing, but you push row in the frog water, and back row in the fast. Point the nose at stuff you do not want to hit, back row, and, slide right by,. Time on those sticks will teach you, no other way.
  13. I know how to row....It is different. You want the inflatable tubes. Talk to Craig at Hargroves...they used to deal Fish Cat (Aire), not sure if they still do, but will send you in the right direction. If they cant, do call NRS, they can get you anything paddle craft related. NRS is the gold standard in the White Water community.
  14. Never have been into motor boats. Have bought & sold a ton of paddle craft over the last 25 years. Pretty happy with what we have at the moment. 17’ Wenonah Spirit II tandem canoe In Royalex, 15’ Mad River Slipper in fiberglass wood gunwhaled replaced this year, Jackson Coosa SOT, Perception Pescador SOT, 17’ Landau Paddle Jon with trailer, 2 8’ lifetime SOT kiddo kayaks, and a ginormous swan floatie in my swimming pool. 8’ lifetimes need to go, have paddles for both but the need new spring clips, Kids learned to Flat water kayak with them. 50 for both, pick up in the 63119.

    PARTY!!!!

We don't patronize Bourbon St much. We go to eat and day drink at the better establishments..
  17. Dave, Ozark waters flood allot. My fishing friends from MI are always amazed to see home appliances stuck in tree tops. A “Big Flood” on the Au Sable or Manistee is a 1-2’ rise. Lots of flat land & sand up there. We fish narrow river valleys surrounded by limestone & granite. The gravel is just a leftover from the clear cut lumber industry of a bygone age.
  18. Glad you are OK! Gotta be careful. Have had to drag my camp and canoe uphill on several occassions...Flooded out of Montauk SP with a toddler and a baby in a pumpkin seat once, water came up 8-10' in a half hour. Have seen the Little Piney spike 15' overnight. Jack's can be dicey too.

  20. Wasn't the spiny dogfish used in the Led Zepplin "Mud Shark" incident?
  21. Dear hunted Busch by Dardenne Creek...It's mostly high mudbanks, sand or silt bottom, with allot of woody debris. Probably some catfish in it.

    What's Cooking?

Y’all are cooking good! Planned on pork steaks, corn, and cucumber salad, but our guests from KC wanted take out Sushi tonight. Freshly unemployed wife, can do that stuff tomorrow. No worries, she hated that gig (AT&T) and has a pile of leads. Might double her income this year with the severance.
