    What's Cooking?

I don’t buy foreign source seafood or tilapia.

    What's Cooking?

Hate waiting on Avocados! Sugar Fire Q is great. Might grab some takeout for Saturday dinner. Not worth waiting for a seat, though many do.
  3. The old Mustad 32 dry fly hook was smaller than that. It was gold plated and had no eye, just a bump to snell too.
  4. Flip focals & bifocals are your friends at 40+. Have thought about Lasik but doc said I don’t need it yet.
  5. IRS said the would start accepting efiled 1040’s at end of month. Not sure how fast they will process them this year. Used to be about 2-3 weeks on average. Missouri is usually quick to pay until they hit their budgeted payout number, then the slam on the brakes.
  6. Those Arkie heads will work, but the hook rusts real easy. Usually use those for flair hair jigs like Ron Kruger used to sell.
  7. Used to have Rams Season tickets. In the corner, 3 rows off the field. So boring. A new set of cheerleaders every quarter was the highlight.

    What's Cooking?

Experiment tonight. Provence style skirt steak. Marinade is persillade with anchovy, pairing with potatoes persillade and some spinach.
  9. Have not been, but little scuds and midges usually rule at Meramec Springs. Itty bitty 20-32 on top. 16-22 scuds.
  10. A classic! Should be a nice upgrade from a beginner combo reel. I don’t want it, but nice of you to pay it forward.
  11. Took a drive today. Wind was brutal, but there were big tornado’s of Specks or Canada’s in West Alton this afternoon. All 200 yards from anything in muddy corn stubble. Smart birds. They flared when my truck stopped.
  12. Think the Pintail Drakes look the best. Mallard drakes are what you shoot at in MO.
  13. Will give ya 2 D Cells but not a 9v😀. Did not say AAA’s.
  14. AA? Kinda short & skinny😀!
  15. Banked in a turn with two for the wall, or five, or seven for a big high ceiling corner piece would be cool! I’m not into taxidermy but I would ask the taxidermist to see what would work best with the specimens provided.
  16. We burned out a car when my bud Pat’s bro Dennis dropped a roach into a bag of fireworks in the back of Pat’s 1972 4 Dr Maverick. Beer was in the trunk and retrieved. That car was ugly and olive. Was a great show!
  17. A wrist rocket and some big ball bearings will get you some rabbit stew really quick. 4th of July bottle rocket & Roman candle fights were always fun. The stuff we did for fun at 10-12 40 yrs ago. I would be in jail if I let my kids do the same.

    What's Cooking?

Yep! No peas! Just blanched extra carrots to rid it of peas!

    What's Cooking?

Some leftover Katie’s in Rock Hill Pasta for lunch. They kill it there if you can get in with less than a 45 minute wait. Wife says she is gonna make some Chicken Pot Pie from scratch with her new pie plate & pie bird.
  21. My commute home Friday was easy. We worked a half day and closed the office as soon as it started. Was a normal drive. Stopped at Hargrove’s for a couple hours (mile from the house) home early at 5pm with groceries in hand. My truck performed like a honey badger.
  22. Ownership of land does not mean that you can do whatever you want. You have to be a good neighbor and maintain your land for your benefit, the benefit of others, and for those to come. You can always pump water out of the creek. Not much required. Hose, pump, car battery, and a charger.
  23. Fencing cows away from running water is always a good idea. They are a major source of E. coli contamination, and they are hell on stream banks.
  24. Think the girls did a great job on Frostenne! Had a nice fire last night. Might do again.
