Ball head jigs...and a muddler style tie..probably wouldnt please my eye...but it works well on a 1/8oz standup jig head.

Flushable Adult Wipes...Check Mark....Lets go fishing this winter. Might have to do with Sam's club wipes though...my 3 year old has been done with the diapers long time, but we have a half case left. ..

Old drunk farts arent completely useless....We keep a few around camp for their intangable value...Settling of disputes....Ability to sit on their bums for hours, read 3 day old newspapers (again) and watch gear...Discussion on the merits of nearby firewood. Most comfy wet wipes,,,,, (Plus they showed us how to do and live in the woods when we were young and stupid)....You are not done yet Joe! Just gotta build your retirement plan!

Jerkbaits dont work for rainbows down there much...Too big for most. Usually some interest but a back hook catch if your lucky. Pickerel and smallies will eat them on the front hook sometimes...but only 3-4 spots were they hold. Better off fishing flies..Light & Dark rig,,,,...#14 RFSN and a Prince on a tandem nymph rig....works better than the cheese that some of my buddies toss.. most of the time. An egg type thingy if nothing else works.

Some friends floated Cedar to Akers after Christmas (Weds-Friday)..Looked like limits for all...with some nice rainbows in the mix.

Lamb Chops in Chimicurri, Pan Fried Potatoes with red onion & rosemary, Pan Fried Brussell Sprouts...Very good...but that duck looks awesome!

FC's fish was bigger 2-3lb range from his pic....havent heard from him in awhile. Interesting guy...miss him.

TW is great...I screwed up an order last year...realized I ordered the wrong reel about an hour later...called them...and they were already packing it. The corrected it, and I got what I wanted...Great service.

Where Will The Next Missouri State Record Smallmouth Come From?

Dunno...I dont fish lakes..When did the smallmouth population boom down on Tablerock? Late 90's/2000 or so? Any state record smallmouth is probably gonna be at least 15 years old...maybe more. Might be a few more years. -

Winter Resorts/lodging?

Sunburst on the NFoW...Two nice cabins, some more affordable sleeper cabins, and some campers for rent....River of Life Farm has plenty of accomodations..but more expensive. Some nice cabins in Montauk State Park too. My wife and I like the one by the dam, or the hot tub cabins up the hill. Brain Sloss's places in Alton, MO are very nice too. Some dining options in town, short drive to the river. Have fun. -

Nothing wrong with a picture of a 12" fish...if someones holding it and smiling. An endless parade of here's another 12" fish I caught...gets old. Some pics from the Meramec last Friday with Coldwater & Hoff. Coldwaters the one in the Elmer Fudd hat holding up the 12"er. Hoff is in Camo.

Good for you! Nice float on the MMec today...River Round down to the BB.. Paddled up the round past the L. Meramec aways.......then back down...Coldwater got a smallie, I got a spot....dat was all...really clear...Saw bottom just about everywhere.
