I think most of us were old enough to have that since of American Pride in us, my fear is the kids today do not have it nor the determination that goes with it. Jimmy this is not a subject to me that should be about the political parties to me its one about "WE" that encompasses all Americans, If we could hold that since of right and pride in country and our fellow countrymen I truly know we would be a better country.

See what I did there added one letter. Yes he is a football player but this was not at a game so no roughing should be happening. I haven't been laid out on the floor but I can promise you the other guy deserved it. Was the other guy the victim because he was laid out? or was there more to the story like ( he thought bullying a person was funny ) As I said i'm playing devils advocate. But I have seen the video and the police reports, to me she was the aggressor he was backing up when she came at him and he then hit her that say self defense. So if it is irrelevant because of assault then what is all the BS about other than the old ( shivery code) of don't hit a woman?

They would still come and still attack us. It is their goal to interrupt and terrorize thinking the ocean is a barrier is foolish and thinking language barriers is going to help is even more foolish. We cannot just sit back and think they wont bother us if we don't bother them ( That would be repeating Pearl Harbor ) and already happened on 9-11. Its a big world but a lot smaller than you think, Trade alone ties the world together each nation has or wants something from others and no one nation is 100% self sufficient anymore. The other major issue is the Media's reporting all these acts of terror, Without them its very hard to terrorize simply put if you cant do it then it is not effective anymore. But Horror and Death sell ratings.

You never know who you true friends are or are not its impossible to know Stalin thought Hitler was his ally and look where that went. Cane was Abels brother and that didn't turn out so well. Most people get married with the thought it is for life yet look at the divorce rate. The only one you can ever 100% trust is yourself. Absolute power is absolute corruption and Money is a major player in both Power and Corruption. People come and go out of your life and Nations make friends then war with each other. Heck we were at war with England in 1812 and now we are their friends. We dropped Nuclear bombs on Japan not even a century ago and now we are friends. We were allies with Germany but we were spying on their Leader just recently. I don't trust our politicians one bit, they and most American have no stomach for doing what is needed when it comes to war. In war your goal should be a singular objective and that is simple Total Complete Domination and Destruction of the enemy and its ability to make war or threaten you! We have not Gone to war since WW2 with that objective and because of it the blood of our soldiers was wasted in vane. You want to end the threat of terrorism your dreaming, you want to cripple it though that's possible but remember a crippled bear can still bite and a snakes head cut off can still bite and kill. But you need to have the resolve to do what is needed and that is simple. You go in with everything we have with the simple orders of destroy the enemy at all cost and take no prisoners! If they are in control of a city use a Nuke, if they are in the mountain caves burn them out and seal the entrance so they cant get out basically Genocide protocols toward them. They ARE NOT a nation or an Army that is fighting with honor, they are common criminals mass murders and will only continue their acts on innocent people and the only way to stop them is to kill them all! You do capture one waterboard him and then remember Red is positive Black is negative and make sure he is nice and wet. I have no problem doing whatever is needed to protect our nation and when your done with him a Bullet to the head is cheaper than a meal at Gitmo. These are not servicemen of another nation entitled to any protection!

Glen, the learning is passed down and on. I never had heard about the Malmedy massacre until 5 years ago when I met one of the Gentlemen who discovered it and listened to his story. Not only did I learn from it but it will stick with me forever, I also learned more about the Battle of the Bulge from him then any books or movies could teach me. It is the first hand accounts that will teach you, you do not have to be right there if it affected you, as the events story may affect so many in so many ways but all of them bring a story to life that no book or movie or single teacher could ever do. I will never forget where I was. I was in a Dr's office when the first plane hit and reports came in, I knew it was bad but thought it was an accident and would watch it on the 5pm news. There were firefighters and Police in the Dr's office ( we were all getting physicals ) I listened to them talk about it and how would they evacuate such a tall building or fight a fire that high most said they had fears of this happening for years. When plane two hit ALL of us knew we were under attack, the officer and fire fighters jumped up and ran to their cars to head to their respected stationing's, The Nurses were in shock but the old doc who was a vet came in and told his nurses to call the hospitals and get portable gear ready to go wherever its needed if needed for the local area. He told me and the other two patients no appointments the rest the day but he could sure use help getting ready if we were willing he didn't need to ask we weren't leaving. That evening as things seem to have stopped and at home my emotions finally kicked in of sadness but vengefulness I wanted to kill whoever did this I wanted answers and I think every emotion possible went through me. I can picture that day like I was living it again as I type this. We like to build monuments and hold ceremonies in remembrance in country and those are all fine, but what we loose as time goes on is the heart felt emotions and the lessons learned from them, each event will fade in to history and the ceremony will shrink year after year. It is the people who lived it we must preserve their feelings for as those are the true teachers.

How is it crossing "State Lines"? TR is Mo, Springfield is MO no state line to cross unless someone runs up the white and then its no biggy if they have the WRBP. 15 Anglers is not a lot and sure seems like in the interest of the fish they could just do a weigh in at the Ramp like they did the Everett Tourney last week and so many more across the nation.

I tell people when it comes to 911 the same thing, I have it saved on my computer so I can e-mail, post, text whatever. I grew up in a Military Family with a rich history of service I know what it means to be an American! Patriot is a media buzzword but American means so much more. When people figure out the difference in those two words its like a light bulb going off. Anyway here is what I tell people.

Its a Dog and Pony show now. 2 NFL Owners and the EX FBI Boss will " investigate this " The NFL always covers its interest and that interest is in what makes them money. The Fans want RG GONE they have no confidence in him what-so-ever and that causes the NFL money. I do not have much confidence in the NFL at all its just a business no different than other business its all about the bottom dollar IMO.

Nathan, to answer your question on the walleye coming up. Yes they do come shallow! I was talking to Doc last night about a area we both fish in Oct and Nov and this front will probably put them there. They also get on flats where shad are present, October is usually a very good month for me on both Crappie and Walleye. Look for them from 15 to 25ft and expect them to be from the bottom to top depending on water temp, they do suspend a lot and its not uncommon to mark a big wad of crappie suspending in open water and see a couple big marks next to them and when you troll over them you end up with a nice walleye. The new flicker minnows are so far working good IMO still more testing to do on them though. Had three so far right out the box that were good and 1 that I had to adjust almost 25 degree's to get it to track straight. Depth the #9's are getting to is 23fow with 140ft of 10lb seagar fluorocarbon. Unlike flickers though them ticking bottom is much more subtle for some reason. There should be a Warning on their Package though that they attract BIG Catfish. Full report on the flicker minnows in a couple weeks after more testing is done.

I have actually followed the case. 1st Bother were originally arrested for simple assault-domestic, http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/bal-ray-rice-arrest-incident-report-pdf-20140216,0,4649635.htmlpage 2nd The charges against his then fiancée now wife were dropped and they charged him with Felony assault. 3rd The state has a first time intervention program RR applied and was accepted to, if he follows through with his agreement with the DA then all charges are dropped. 4th the NFL and Ravens already penalized him and there is no way they hadn't seen this video I ain't buying Rogers Bullcrap for one minute on this one. 5th Rice did tell the NFL, Ravens and Media what happened he admitted to everything its on plenty of videos. What did the NFL think happened when the man admitted to it. Now on to my personal feelings; ( After seeing the second video, to me it appeared she charged him and was the aggressor and he hit her in self defense. ) I know everyone says a man should never hit a woman, but I have seen women become more physical than a man and in domestic altercations, to me if anyone is attacking you, their sex is no longer an issue and if self defense is warranted so be it. I spoke to my cousin on this as well who is now a retired police officer and he said the worse domestics and most dangerous were always the woman when she was the aggressor as well. Rice should have been suspended longer had the NFL wanted to send a message certainly, but what they are doing now IMO is opening up a Giant Law Suit against them and rightfully so. Roger needs to step down and do it now!

Feelin' Pretty Blessed To Witness Another Glorious Sunrise.
Feathers and Fins replied to JohnP's topic in Migratory Birds
Great pictures and have no fear by this weekend there should be plenty of teal from what the weather looks like. -
Nice, it was stripers and geese for us today, looked for you but didn't see you.
-
Took Yakfm out for some testing on the new flicker minnows but im very opportunistic and when geese and stripers want to play I never say no. Debating on more Jerky or Roast either way they are soaking in the brine and spice

Actually THEY DO but will not do it on a forum and most I have spoke to have said they do not want ridicule or crap from fellow friends or club members. Now James can you explain that to me, I'm not being a smart butt here, I am asking an honest question as you are a bass fishermen. If as many people say kids are the future of our sport then why are Bass fishermen so much more concerned about their piers than helping others catch fish?
