  1. Down Riggers. or you can try a jigging spoon. but for the flickers I use the downriggers.
  2. Mucho Gracias, to late for tonight but oh darn guess ill have to go get more tomorrow to try that.
  3. Crappie Cakes I was inspired by RPS cakes he made the other night I and had to give this a try. First it requires you must go fishing as horrible as that is guys you really have to go fishing to get the chief ingredient. Dice crappie into ¼ cubes Dice 3 Banana Peppers Dice 1 Bell Pepper Dice 2 Anaheim Peppers Dice up a ¼ of an Onion Cook 1 cup of Rice Place all the above in large bowl Add ½ cup Verde Salsa Beat 1 Egg and add it and the Salsa Crush 1 bag of saltine crackers Mix all the ingredients together Next you will want to for a bowl with aluminum foil to do this I just form it around a small cereal bowl. Add the mix to the aluminum foil bowls and then sprinkle cornmeal on top and level with a wooden spoon. Preheat oven to 350 and cook for 30 minutes. At the end of the 30 minutes brush on a light coating of cocktail sauce and cook for 5 more minutes.
  4. Very happy to hear you are catching some and especially with a youngster. Just remember when you start catching to pass on the knowledge to others.
  5. Not if your behind me lol
  6. Do to circumstances brought on by you I now need the ingredients for the Salsa..... I have all the other stuff thanks to some cooperative donors this morning.
  7. The ones im fishing are not agfc
  8. They were there this morning well that area. But didn't stay up more than a few seconds nothing like sunday when I was videoing them. The hybrids are there but down in 25 fow. Crappie are in the basin hanging out between 12 and 18 fow. The surface fish are mostly small stripers and whites in the 1 to 2 pound class.
  9. Nathan there are far more piles from Prairie Creek to Hickory Creek. hook up with me one time I will show you a bunch of them.
  10. Plastic adjustable, I like mine pointing pretty much straight out on level with the boat. A bunch of crappie tried removing them today but to no avail I did put them in prison with a death sentence for trying though!
  11. I got no problem with it and wish they would do it every weekend. Good Luck to them.
  12. Atwoods. Plain simple and yes they will hold up to very large stripers with no problem I got sold on them when Bull sharks couldn't pop them.
  13. Stripers are there. spend some time catching small perch 1 to 3'' then go out early in the morning and just drift them behind the boat about 100ft back with a light split shot and you could hook a striper... Trolling flicker shad will produce as well in 20ft of water for walleye, bass and whites.
  14. Marty definitely mix some ivormec in the food help them out
  15. Great picture Ness, We just harvested a bunch more peppers and the first Cherry Maters of the season with some more cucumbers. The Asparagus is popping finally and the grapes went on a mission to take over everything. This will be one of the best years in a long time for us.
  16. Im not sure the population in Beaver Lake is targetable they are mostly a by-catch when trolling flicker shad. They fight like Redfish and very good to eat fresh but only fresh or after a soaking overnight but not frozen or as left overs. Grand lake would be a better bet from my understandings. That said if you are going to try them on Beaver this time of year I would be looking in the middle of pockets off main lake points from 12 bridge to rocky branch.
  17. there is no wrong cheese to put in it. you can also cover it in a tomato sauce or marinara sauce. I also like baking it in a baking dish doing layers of Peppers then cheese then fish or meat till its about 2'' thick.
  18. Well did you try it and did you smile during eating it.
  19. 10lb seagar fluorocarbon. 1/8oz jig heads
  20. Ok you suck. now I want to peach pie or cobbler.... grrr
  21. Now that looks good... Ill try it later this week
  22. Gary I am a big fan of Floro, to kill memory problems and keep the line limp I like at the end of the day to put a 1oz weight on my line with a barrel swivel and let it out about 200ft and then run the boat for about 5 minutes it will take all the twist out, then reel it in and let the line back out just flat nothing but line and run wide open for a few minutes and then reel it in slow so its comes in light on the reel. I wont do it if im going out the next day or shortly after but if I know it may be a week between trips I try to do it every time. Try it you will see a difference.
  23. Keith Im making more tonight I was ordered after all lol
