  1. We have highs in the 50's this week and looks like possibly some good rain totals coming. If we do get it I suggest looking to runoff areas the shad will gather in them to feed and the fish will be nearby. I talked to my buddy who just got in with a healthy limit of walleye in 6fow most were 22'' he said i managed 12 of them before he had to leave. He asked me not to give exact location so i wont but he did say the fish all came off small gravel points and water temps at surface were 46.5 and warming as the day went on. He caught some real nice bass and did check out the striper rumors in Clifty and verified they are there and so was a "ZOO" so he didnt stay long. Crappie he had some nice ones to 17'' in 23fow over flats with trolling flicker shad and rapalas his biggest was 18.5'' on a 1/4oz gold spoon and it was fat.
  2. It came! It saw! It scared the crap out of the pros! It caught fish! and then people relised it like all other lures, baits, or whatever has its place and it fell in the catergory of JUST ANOTHER TOOL
  3. Sad news and hear it every season. We can all be careful but accidents happen. hate to hear it anytime.
  4. I shared this with someone before the tourny, Cranks or Keitechs and Montne. the bass have been sitting in there on the flats in 15fow but i bet they moved to maybe 22 with this weather. anyone fish the area?
  5. 95% of meat I eat is wild game and most the fruits and veggies are farmers market or my garden. Most the time we cook our meals Breakfast and Dinner, Lunch is Subway or Mom and Pop places get my money.
  6. I would like to know where they were caught and on what, just for my own curiousity.
  7. Nope ( in them )
  8. That is the only way to release walleye
  9. Hey your BASS fishermen arnt you suppose to let everything go, that poor walleye lol. Rocky Branch on it by some chance ?
  10. Sounds like a good hunt to me. Ive got to the point its more about the People, Dogs and Scenery than the kills anymore. If i want waterfowl i go pick on the resident geese but ducks have moved up on the scale to they must be decoyed in and if they dont oh well im enjoying company and dam good coffee.
  11. Walleye, Goose poppers, hushpups and Blackeyes here.
  12. Great Hunt Boys, Happy end of 12 and new 13
  13. Not alot of birds dieing but did snap a few cool pics. 40 YARDS AND YES I THOUGHT ABOUT IT. A few of the spread
  14. People are sick ive seen them go for just about everything. Stupid city folk dont know how to hit a rabbit or deer right and keep ruining the meat. Whats real funny is watching a corvet hit a diller.
  15. Marty we hunted from 9am till dark and the answer is YES. saw lots of birds on the lake when we ran out that were loafing but alot of boat traffic pushed them out. Numbers were in the thousands. They trickled back in but super call shy and decoy radar on. This evening we saw thousands in the air again heading to the north toward the corn fields in southern Mo and North AR they started flying out about 3:30pm They are for certain on a night feed with the big white soft light.
  16. March and April are the magic time for stripers, If you really want to catch one two lakes come to mind that your odds are much higher than Nor. Do-it-yourself Beaver wins hands down, you will need a cast net, 12lb floro line and a hook, Castnet your bait in the coves or buy brooder minnows at HLS in Rogers and just drift the coves with shad in them. WASHITA is hands down a great lake for bruisers but I suggest a Guide on it. Either of those two lakes are much better choices than Nor IMO, Trolling up stripers is a long process and if you do not know how to contour line troll its not very productive, You have to know where the bait is and what bait has stripers on it and be able to troll the contour they are on and work it hard and accurately.
  17. Horrible exeriance with them, ordered three rods and they said 3 days to get here, they were here the next day which got me busted by the wife!!!! grrrrrr .... Actually that is the only bad thing about them in my experiance. I would suggest them to anyone.
  18. They got a new kid from what i hear and he seems to have a powertrip going on. I swear you couldnt pay me to live in the village with all the rules and permits fees. I like having a house and doing what i want on my property.
  19. They do they do.. and boats must be comfy and warm also... and Bella Vista's Nazi code keepers would complain about it parked anywhere else lol
