  1. I dare you!!!! I had a blast catching catfish, and plopping 40 cats on your brand new shiny boats carpet would make me chuckle all day.
  2. HEY NOW I would never heckle you in your own boat YA OK I WOULD
  3. The only scenario for 2 SEC teams to get in the Playoffs is if FL State looses to a unranked or low ranked opponent then it would be the SEC Champion and the Runner up. If the Board goes by strength of schedule. But we still have no idea how this board is going to rank teams or pick who is deserving. Right now all the "ranked" teams are based off last years BCS ranking system and until this new commission meats and ranks we wont know what to expect.
  4. Glen if you sub it for cats cook the cat 3 minutes per side and add the sauce in to the pan on the flip to get the flavor in the meat.
  5. Something is interesting with the walleye, they apparently have to have sun to bite!!!!! I went out today after Yak keyed me in on the area and caught 15 catfish nice ones 3 to 18lbs but couldn't buy a walleye bite so I decided to troll a little further than where the walleye were suppose to be and caught some whites and a couple nice Drum. The sun finally peeked its head out and I went to where Yak told me and sure enough the walleye bit 7 with 2 keepers all on the shad and as Yak said related to a key piece of structure. He wasn't kidding when he said one piece I dropped the camera and saw at least 10 to 12 and probably even more on it. All nice healthy ones as he showed in his pictures, between them and the cats and drum I have a few fillets and the first to be cooked will be the Drum. Thank Brian dead on tip and dear on spot, ill call you in a bit and tell you what that structure actually is. Recipe
  6. I saw it for BULL but not Beaver, you guys have further info?
  7. Don't get me started 2 fumbled snaps on drives with momentum 2 TD's called back because of Penalty Missed FG ( why do we have a div3 kicker? Bad play calling at the end of the 2nd half ( why did they keep passing it we are a running offense )? Should have gone for the 1st down than the kick anyway at that range it wasn't for sure but our run was doing good. OT no call by the Refs that even my dead blind grama could have seen Despite my high hopes it shows we still cant finish a game
  8. I wonder what the Native Americans called the Colt Peacemaker or the Winchester 73? And for mental illness none of the Killings has struck that note clearer than the notes by Charles Whitman.
  9. for birdwatcher http://youtu.be/ZLNoYujxeRo And now to being serious I have read this entire thread and just have to ask why people are so against the evil black gun. I have one for hunting it is an automatic it is only allowed to hold the legal amount of rounds in its magazine as the hunting regulations call for no different than any other automatic rifle. Where it does differ from most is it has Kriegar barrel, Swarovski Ballistic turret scope, and fully polished and customized lower, It has a bipod on the bottom and adjustable stock fully synthetic stock. She is light and easily carried and in 308 is more than a match for any deer. She is a great hunting gun and I plan to have a 338 built for Elk just like her and their little sister is in 22. Most people buy the crappie press about how EVIL the AR is! Evil is Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and any Criminal using the AR or any Weapon on another person, But then again we just had a beheading in Oklahoma yesterday with a knife. SO was it the person or the knife that was evil? I also own automatic pistols and wheel guns and even a couple over unders and enjoy shooting them all equally, We have this Pesky Constitution that allows me to do it and Liberals, Democrats and misinformed people find it very pesky to bad for them. Guns are not evil and all have uses from Plinking to hunting and in the unfortunate cases murder or self defense. It is the user that is evil not the gun, I have never seen a gun laying on a table just go off ever without someone making it go off. As to home defense I want reliable always and a S&W 357 Or Colt 45 wheel guns are the definition of that, but I promise you I will also have Mr Glocks monster on me as well, both are in arms reach of me sleeping and my wife will be nice and safe with Mr Remingtons 870 MODEL and his 10 dogs barking. But and AR for home defense would be the last choice for that matter any rifle would be for the simple reason it has the high potential to leave my house and strike someone in another house. The idea is to defend yourself not kill the bad guy and the neighbor.
  10. To here they came in right before teal opener, some already in sear and la
  11. Bradfords are dropping leaves already, Fish in areas 4 to 6 weeks early, Snow geese are 6 weeks early, squirrels are storing up big time, temps already very nice fall like. Farmers Almanac pretty accurate. Im saying brutal weather based on wildlife and the Farmers.
  12. The ( rights ) will all come down to "Public Trust Doctrine" sooner or later. Clear creek in that section may not fall in to that and remain private. Now if someone showed that it was used to transport wood or fur before Arkansas was a state just one shred of proof it would fall under public trust and be protected. As for the Dog issue, I have no issue with a dog being worked or trained. I do have an issue with dogs who run wild and Threaten people or livestock. Anyone who thinks just because a dog can also be a pet gives it some sort of protection needs to watch a coyote in action or wolf they are killers! If you were on your property and a dog came on it I would bet you would watch it and see if it passes on, but if it went for your kids or grandkids or any of your animals I would bet you put a round in it. A dog gone feral is no different and possibly more dangerous because young kids might thinks it is that "pet". As to training a dog in an area like that, probably not the best idea but you wouldn't know it until this incident happened. I suggest just going to a well know public lake or river to avoid issues like this with a dog. I have seen problems made worse by people having a dog with them, even the best pet can become increasingly protective of its owner when it is in unfamiliar surroundings especially a young pup. Its fear in that situation could lead to an overly aggressive pose that to another person who doesn't know your dog could be taken as threatening hence blowing up the situation. The guy shooting, now that is wrong, I would be curious to hear what the outcome of the investigation is. The land owner may simply say he was target shooting or sighting in his rifle for deer season or so many different legal activities ( his word against your word ) deal. But another good reason to be very careful where you spend outdoor time, A person might well be doing a legal activity and never know a person is there especially if it is their property and an accident could happen. Just way to much to think about and no good common since line because the water ways are the greyest area in the law IMO...
  13. 24' deepest I have verified them for the 9's
  14. Please note Ham I said Gone Ferral. If a dog chases me or livestock or threatens someone it needs to be put down. A lost dog or escaped is one thing but an aggressive animal is another
  15. Dogs and Cats allowed to run feral should be placed in the same category as feral hogs ( shoot on sight ). If people cared about their animals they would keep them under supervision! I have seen cats kill just for fun, and dogs well how many attacks do we have to hear about or people being chased by them before the laws get changed?
  16. Its ok Ham I feel the same way when Bama looses as well. Amazing how LSU fans seem to say what you keep saying until they loose to Arkansas then its like the end of the world to them.
  17. It was a good weekend, in sports but any time LSU Looses is a dam fine day IMO. It sparked my hope in Arkansas. We have three wins and I THINK we can beat LSU, Mizz , UAB, Ole Miss and Miss St and maybe just maybe Georgia for an 8 and 4 record. I wouldn't have said it a few weeks ago in fact I said if BB didn't get some wins he would be out but now I'm seeing what he is building and the team is buying in to it and getting confident and confidence catches fish and earns wins in football. It wont be easy but I believe it is possible, Now if they beat TAMU this weekend then all bets are off as that could either lift them to cloud 9 and prove to them they can beat anyone and then they run wild on the West, OR it could be such a big high they come off it and loose everything else.
  18. Ok this comes up frequently and until someone presses the issue in court nothing will be done even though there is case law all the way back to before our constitution ( see ; colonial ordiances of 1641-1647 in ma ) One of the first acts by congress was to establish waterway rights, it really is one of the strongest laws in the history of the country there is an enormous amount of case law on it. courts have been consistant on it it makes sense i think and goes back to the founding of the country. one of the things the founders of the country wanted to be different from the crown on. This has gone to the SCOTUS many times and they always side with what is basically ( Puritan time law ) add in all the case law and its the public would win every time. Now if someone was to try and run ( IN ARKANSAS ) someone off the land they would in fact be in violation of the law as they would be violating the constitution and hunters/fishermens rights in state. Hunters right basically a misdemeanor, but interfering with federal waterways act is a felony and if a weapon is present on the reporters ( landowners property ) it could be an additional charge of Terroristic Threatening. The problem is most people do not have the money to force this through to scotus once and for all. And even then all law enforcement agencies would need to be advised to the law in dealing with land owners.
  19. This is how I rigged my decoys all are on long lines 15 yards long but can have line added for even deeper water.... First Decoy is at the 15 yard mark last one is at 31 yards ( 4ft apart ) By myself I can put them away in about 3 minutes putting out is even faster as they simply pull out of the bag as you walk out or the boat floats out. With my boat I can deploy 3 sets at one time by simply laying them on the side of the boat and let it deploy. In shallow water just walk them out and the last decoy unwrap enough line to hit bottom and then loop the rest so it cinches tight to the decoy so no more comes off. If you want to make it a jerk line I just use T-post and knock them below waterline and attach a bungy cord to it. put another t-post at the midline and one so all the lines come together to come in to the blind 12 dozen jerk string decoys really suck in waterfowl. I do suggest having at least 1 dozen still on individual strings so the line does not look straight if you are in a marsh just toss them out in the middle of lines. On big water it doesn't seem to matter if it looks like a straight line. This is also real good for directing birds in if the wind is wrong for your spot. Say you have a south wind but you can only face east. start the first line 60 yards NE of you and bring them in to a cluster south of you 30 yards they will land on the inside of it most the time. Decoying is all about putting the birds where you want to shoot them. As for Dogs with the long lines after the first few times they learn to pick a line to swim in and no issues but the first few times its a learning curve for them so be ready to reset and don't get mad at the dog they will figure it out and its real neat watching them learn. I think it was the best Breaking Tool ever as my girl had to watch where the birds went down then pick a line to go out to get each one. http://youtu.be/ygSU_IosUlc
  20. LMAO Chris, but we are trying to help a new hunter not someone who leaves decoys behind for friends to give room and board too.
  21. In a Marsh setting a couple dozen is perfect, Big water you need more, Anyone remember the real gunners decoys Herters Model 72. Those were decoys for real men and made boys want to cry carrying out 3 dozen.
  22. a dozen on one jerk string and, imagine when all 14 dozen are out lol. http://youtu.be/_AkIOb22dtE Ill try editing a video I made of my rigs and see if I can make decently viewable
  23. Here you go ness Cpriest, the DR85 is one of the best calls ever made, you want to learn to whisper to ducks come on by HLS and bring it with you, just send me a PM on here to check what days im working.
