  1. Anytime you catch a Bone errr mean fish its a fluke lol
  2. Here is the only way it will change.... Have the money to afford an attourney that sues the states for Price Gouging,, because that is what it is and they will prosecute a business that does it but no way they will prosecute themselves.
  3. That would probably cause interference with the units as its two different manufactures. I do have interference when other boats come to close.
  4. Not sure what you mean. I run a Sidescan and sonar at console and sonar on front of boat and never have issues. Its through the lss1 lowrance system though
  5. Not hitting topwater right no, they are running 12 to 20fow hitting trolled flicker shad at 2.5mph and live bait drifted over them. Smaller ones are hitting a white spoon with a vengeance. Until we get some stable weather they will be hard to pattern and these fronts I fear are pushing the spawning run back each time one comes through. Looking at the ten day we are in for a few more hard freeze's and some snow it looks like. That should put them back again. March will be interesting especially if we have more shad die-offs and the stripers keep eating the freebies. On the other hand if we get Heavy rains and warm temps it could blow up from 412 bridge to hwy12 bridge. This years weather is making them very hard to predict.
  6. Kyle, they have been there for a week straight I don't know any reason they would move out other than they are fish and do what they want lol. I would go to HLS in Rogers and get the Flicker shad it wont take you but a few extra minutes if you plan to troll them up and get some white spoons, don't ask why in that stained water they want "white'' for some reason. Same with the crappie! My only guess is the shad die-off they are so keyed in on them. The cold front today is why I went yesterday I was fearful the bite might shut down because of it and the wind is blowing right now. I wont be there got me a date with my wife
  7. I have said it before I love a windy day on Beaver... But I would like to put a qualifier with that. I DO NOT LIKE HURRICANE FORCE WINDS! Started out on the same spot I have been beating them up all week at 9:30ish all was wonderful in Whoville, 5 schoolie stripers 12 to 15lb fish bit right off the bat, I was having so much fun with the whites earlier I went out to where they have been and put 10 to 15 in the boat pretty fast. I had marked some crappie so I went after them but Grinch south wind was blowing and they didn't bite. Nick was coming out and Doc had already got there. ( side note ) First time I have seen his boat since the rebuild and it looks sharps!) Anyway we all went out to play with the white who apparently the Grinch scared away! They were no longer schooled up but scattered bad and not in the mood to eat. I ran over to Blackburn and not a dang thing! Ran back to Monte Ne and guess what the Wall was up and the evil Grinch couldn't blow in there, Put a small Black in the boat and then 3 crappie, Doc told me he found more so I ran over.... Um Doc need to get a better graph lol they were gizzard shad but big. So we went back over to where I got crappie an I picked up 2 more and another small bass. All in all tough day due to wind, but hey it was fun getting on the water none the less. I did do some graphing of Historic Monte Ne for fun and here is some of the shots. Scanning from shore out Scanning from depth to shore Old Bridge
  8. End of May first of June Rocky Branch would be my first stop, fish from the back ramp out to the tip of the last point on your west shore try from 15fow to 30fow. Second Stop Point 5 on the South shore up to point 6. Same depth range. Last option is Point 4 there is a hump on the SE shore they like to hold on. If you are on the water before dawn fish shallow from 10fow to 15fow max more stripers are in shallow than people think. I typically limit out fast and watch the guides sitting in deep water not catching a thing. Baits you need Live bait its an unfortunate truth of Beaver lake that time of year.
  9. Phil you are getting old or hanging around Duane to much lol.
  10. Bs, No electronics will make it hard but not impossible... Spoon the East side of the flat out to 30fow and work you way back in. I would take a sharpy and Mark on your line 15fow 20, 25 and 30 so you can use that as a reference. Deeper than 30 and your wasting time shallower than 15 your wasting time.
  11. Blue Top, cant go wrong
  12. http://www.moga.mo.gov/statutes/chapters/chap566.htm
  13. Where are you located would help for which lake.
  14. Good lord I even posted the exact screen shot with my HDS in one of the reports showing exactly where I was. Anyone who knows beaver or could read a map would know... then again as WC said I did post a map too, just have to know where to look for it on the net
  15. Yes it is true that this citation can get you on the registry. I have a friend in FL who was cited for urinating in Public in 1978 when he was 18, Paid the 25$ fine ( He had to go and there was no place but trees off the road and an officer wrote him ) Flash forward about 30 years and he gets a notice he must register as a sex offender. The registry is IMO a cruel and unusual punishment and a violation of the constitution, as it continues to punish a person long after they have served their sentence. It causes people to not be able to gain employment and sanctions them from other aspects they could have if they were not on it AS WELL as not allowing them to live in certain areas and even endangering them in some cases. I do feel strong as I watched a man who is IMO a great role model go through hell because of this stupid registry and law. True sex offenders are one thing but this registry and the labeling of what is a sex crime is another. There are even people who went steeking at a graduation on the registry, SIMPLE STUPID KIDS PLAYING and now they are sex offenders.
  16. This is simple. Photo-copy My previous report and you know what and where. water temp did come up to 40 degrees though.
  17. Stumpy, them East Coaster have multiple ways of cooking them. I have a great friend in Mass and they all saying grilling gets old fast in to the season. Some are making Chowda with them and smoking them even.
  18. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm, I have mine in the boat right now just for walleye but figured it was a little to early, guess I know what im going to do this weekend Great walleye Marty.
  19. Try it this way 34º04'35.29''N 118º25'46.17''W
  20. LOL,,, Yes it is Phil trust me... Plug it in Google Earth
  21. It is cabin fever, people are wanting to get information on where good fishing is. Best GPS Numbers I can think of right now are; 34º04'35.29''N X 118º25'46.17''W Good luck and good fishing
  22. Mark, let your spoon sit on the bottom barely twitching it as the boat drifts and you should do good.... White or Holographic white 1/2oz spoons are the ticket.
  23. If you go on google earth and use the time slider you can see the Pelicans on Grand. Pretty neat to see their shadows in flight.
