  1. I am an independent insurance agent for multiple companies. I am not looking to sell you by any means. I would strongly advise that you look into a specific "Boat Policy". Talk to your agent about it. There are many benefits to having a policy separately, too many to mention on here.
  2. Good stuff. LET'S GO BLUES!!
  3. ME TOO mine turned 3 this year. She has been to the creek for crawdads, and minnows, Maybe, just maybe we can get her to pull one in.
  4. I like these stories when they are told by the people affected. Good for you oneshot for posting.
  5. That explains it, never been on table rock.
  6. Thanks for posting. I have never been on the Kings river. Sounds like a nice place.
  7. They are pretty effective. I often get ads for insurance companies, along with the pick of the week for search canoes, kayaks, stoves, sleeping bags, etc. Somtimes if there is a hot topic that I am reading on here, it will have ads that compliment the discussion. It is interesting to say the least.
  8. I am always happy to let him have the hook. I just cut the line and let him move on.
  9. Congrats. Now just to wait until they become more active.
  10. Oops, the 28th of February is what I meant to type.
  11. ....But I have a 4x4 and I can do 90 mph on ice, its made for it. (Sarcasm). To those who have 4x4's please remember that 4 tires spinning (really only 2) will slide as well as 1. 4 wheel drive is only good to get you moving or at a constant slow pace, not on the highway. Yes, I think people in St Louis have short term memories or are from somewhere else. As the famous quote around here is "It wasn't this cold/hot last year" YES IT WAS!
  12. Go out and renew your fishing license now, they all expire on February 29 ( in MO anyway). For those that hunt small game, if you get them combined on one license there is a good discount. It took me a few years to realize the savings so I like to point it out to those like me. Have fun, be safe and catch/harvest something this year. DC
  13. Thanks Chief, Finally got around to watching it today. Very Good!! Answered alot of questions that I have wondered thoughout the years on different minnows, and larvae. Good stuff. Cant wait for the ones to follow.
  14. Gonna have to go fishing if'n you wanna eat. :-) , Might be kinda hard with all the broken bones, and trying to see through 2 swollen black eyes.
  15. I was offended that Chief uploaded a fishing picture with someone who CLEARLY loves baseball more than fishing...... What gives?
  16. There is a guy who goes by "Uncle Steve" on Youtube. He does bluegill fishing, no driving, no music, no flyrod, no expensive lures, mostly just worms. I enjoy his videos and subscribed a while back. But it has been mentioned a couple of posts ago, these videos on here are lightyears ahead. I don't judge on whether or not certain content has been added/ommitted, I judge if I like it or not. So far, I have not been disapointed on here.
  17. I appreciate all of the contributions submitted by others for everyone's enjoyment Pics, Videos, Stories etc. It is not always about the "Fish". I enjoy the ride to a new place, I enjoy the landscape of new (fishing) spots. Sure it is easy to come in and give a negative comment when drunk, but can you give the same negative comment when sober? I like the parts of the video showing the drive to new locations, usually I drive at night. Keep submitting. Side request, Hey Cheif, if you find any more of the Conservation Videos, please post them. I know they don't show fish being caught, but they are relaxing.
  18. I enjoyed it as well. Thanks for sharing with this office chair fisherman.
  19. Mic, The Alpine Shop has a few classes on Kayaks comming up, and also the "Demo Days" Check out thier website for dates and locations. Also if you become a fan of thier guest list/email list, you will get a one time coupon to be used on 1 item (boats/kayaks excluded). I was able to use the coupon with no problem. They had a decent amount of stock onhand at the Kirkwood Rd Location when I went in. Oh, and I did not attend the boat show, but seen some monsters being towed in. ( the wife works across from the America's Center)

  21. The can of soda was great.
  22. Yea, Mic, that is what I do mostly, luckily my oldest boy can do most of it by himself now. Both of my boys will bait their own hooks, and try to remove the fish they catch. Usually we do catch and release, but he wanted to take the big one home so bad that I allowed him to. He was also able to earn a Fishing Merit Badge by Catching, Cleaning, Cooking and, of course eating two fish. Dad messed up and put too much salt in the water to take away the fishy taste and then thought if a half hour is good, overnight must be great..... Some of the meat was just too salty and we were not able to eat it, but the majority was excellent. We were using night crawlers by the way.
  23. I like this one. I won't be telling it to the wife though. I'm not that big of a man
