  1. I was just checking out his website last week. Good catching. Maybe I will have such a chance to get one of them some day. His site is sincere, and he seems to be also. Smalliebigs, you told me of such fish, maybe this year I can hash out some time. Let me know. ...
  2. Very neat idea. I would love to, will be down there soon, but not that time. Now for my hijacking, if anyone would like to share one in April, message me, and maybe we can arrange to save each other money.
  3. Very nice of you skunkworks. May you continue to be blessed.
  4. I have always enjoyed reading/deciphering the posts. Kind of like a word puzzle within a post. I'm gonna miss that. Glad you got a solution none the less.
  5. I have family that I haven't seen in many years in Senath. My grandparents are from there, and buried there.
  6. Very cool picture and caption.
  7. Good advice MJK86, here is a link to some very good advice for others who may need such info. http://anglersresource.net/WhattoLookforinaTopShelfSpinningRod.aspx Very interesting read on what to look for and pictures showing the do's and the don'ts. I have done some more research and think I now have enough info on where to go from here. I am pretty excited and really looking forward to the spring/summer/fall.
  8. Very nice, sounds like a blast.
  9. Ok, So a medium action 6 to 7 foot, 1 piece or 2 piece? Does it make a difference? How about brands/materials? I am really new to "matching" up, and if I am spending the money, I would like to know why.
  10. Neat tip, thanks for sharing!
  11. I guess it's model#6935, spool shows 6,8,10lb mono, 8,10,14# braid. Gear ratio:5:2:1.
  12. Not sure on size, will update this evening. I appreciate the input this far.
  13. So this year, I have decided to take advice from many on this site and bought a Pflueger President reel. Picked it up from Dunn's Sporting goods this morning. Now I would like to know, what line/rod you would recommend? I generally fish ponds/ small lakes and creeks. Mostly my go-to fish has been catfish, but would like to go after bass, large and small mouth. This request is coming from a loyal zebco '33' user, I do actively use an open face, just am not sure of the brand, been a while since I got out.
  14. Lol butthead.
  15. I like it.
  16. I would imagine that "spot" smells better than "Fishy", but one would think more hunting would go on there, instead of fishing.
  17. Just wanted to remind everyone on here that all yearly licenses will expire at the end of this month. You have 10 days to renew, without a lapse. Good luck to all this year, and thank you to all who actively post. DC
  18. Was it a brood stock escapee? Looks like it's just down from the chutes.
  19. I really can't speak for Oklahoma, but in Missouri, you can use up to 3. Surely this is not the information you need ,but maybe it will help someone else.
  20. I totally get what you all are having issues with. But, at the same time, isn't this what the forum is for? It has been suggested that people should use codes for fish. Some people do use codes. I appreciate any comments on here that help members, and readers find fish. At the same time, I realize that "trade secrets" are what can be the difference between having fish and not. It's a difficult balance.
  21. What's a pork (jig)?
  22. I am glad you posted. Thank you for giving me a lead. Will I ever get a chance to go? , not sure. At the same time, I am happy that people will still use this website for this purpose. One year I will be able to go out and contribute my findings.
  23. I like your style. Always looking for a new recipe. Now to learn how to duck hunt.....
  24. I wish that we could do more of these types of information giving, with more of the laws, and proposals that are pushed through because enough is not known about them. I don't know any of the pros and cons of this situation, but am glad that this is being presented so that more people may be able to make a more informed decision.
