  1. Nah, I don't even hate those who only bash others on here while not contributing anything at all. Heck even my post was on the negative nature that I was ranting about, guess I should hate myself. Just tired of reading posts that complain about a method that has not had a chance to defend itself. And those who complain about it most claim to have never used it. Been a long time since I have seen Bambi, so I am not sure what you wanted me to take from that.
  2. While I try to stay out of these negative posts about the Ned, it bothers me to see people complain about it not being new, (no one has really said it was). Or the complaint of it catching small fish (so do many other lures). Or those who complain about Dave promoting it. I'm very glad that he has and does. About the gut hooking, someone posted a pic of a wart that was swallowed deep. Can we say treble hook gut hook? I'm sure that fish did not live, yet no problem there. Thank you to the members who post useful information on here. Please continue, I really enjoy reading about your success and failure. To those who only complain, remember what your mom told you, if you don't have any thing nice to say, say nothing at all. Sorry, rant over.
  3. Welcome back home Cal.
  4. Zarra, how do you mount the fish? Never seen anything like your stick. Good catching lately. Thanks for the reports.
  5. Wow!! I guess as they say "Ignorance is Bliss". LMAO at some of these replies. This one went quickly down the wrong path. Or am I misreading/misunderstanding some of this. Yea, I am the one who asked....
  6. OK, so I have wondered for a long time what MFU is. I have learned the members, and really think well of you guys. Is (Was) it a group of guys who developed a club on here? Did you guys have annual fishing trips? Come on, what gives? I know "Curiosity killed the cat", and just maybe, you would have to kill me if you told me. But I cannot sit back and wonder anymore.
  7. Lol@Ness. Could I hassle you for a day or few. My cousins and I need, well could you at least stock the fridge?
  8. Like them all. Have nothing to contribute. Sitting on my phone reading. Really wish i could catch a fish.
  9. Sounds fishy, and I didn't believe it myself, ( all puns intended ), but aluminum foil balled up and used like a sponge or rag, will remove surface rust. It will not leave any scratches and is safe for any chrome. I have used it on my Camaro's wheels more than a few times. Just wanted to share a tip.
  10. You might try pm'ing SmallieBigs. I know he had a smaller motor for sale previously. He doesn't post on here much any more, not sure if he will see your request.
  11. It's really not any worse now than before. We just get more media attention, and 24 hour news. Really if there are sickos every where preying on kids, name 5 in the last 5 years. Where are they located? Who abducted them? Family members? You have better chances to win the state lottery twice. Let the kids outside! Teach them to be independent. When is it safe for them? When they are 21, and don't know how to navigate through the city? Turn off your tv's, and experience real life. Go out and have fun. Everyone who goes outside in a bad neighborhood doesn't get shot. I grew up there.I used to ride my bikes and skate boards there, never carried a gun ,never needed one.
  12. The mentality for younger kids to be able to go outside by them selves has changed. I am 36, grew up in a rough part of St Louis City. It was nothing for me to go out and be gone half the day at 10 years old. If my parents knew what I was going to be doing, I could be gone all day. My son is 15, and my wife freaks out if he is gone two hours by himself. We live in a great neighborhood with a park that has 3 ponds right outside of the subdivision. I encourage my kids to fish, and play outside.
  13. I always look while crossing any water. Good to know I'm "normal ". Well in good company anyhow.
  14. Catfishmaster, not Bassmaster. I would like to "look at it", if he could show it.
  15. Typing on here while trying to winch on a tree. You got your priorities straight. Lol, good try.
  16. Your persistent reports are very nice. Thanks for sharing the information that you have.
  17. Hero's ( the first season ) Smallville Supernatural Seinfeld (got in time it after it ended ) Cheers
  18. Hot Shots and Hot Shots part Deux. I love all of the comedy series, along with the Police Academy films.
  19. Dutch, it's west of St Louis county.
  20. Cool, thanks for sharing. I will be working this afternoon, won't be able to make it. Hopefully some one will see this and be able to attend.
  21. Top 5 would be very hard and would vary by day. These would always be in the top 15. Forest Gump Crocodile Dundee Tombstone Young Guns Fried Green Tomatoes
  22. I was just rubbing you guys. I agree, it does get a lot of attention, and I think that it should. I was able to catch half of my fish on it at the OAF Big Bass Tournament. ( I only caught 2 fish). Full disclosure, I have never been to the Elk, really don't know where it is located. Just wanted to give someone somewhere a smile. :-) Guess it did not work for you Chief. Sorry.
  23. ... I knew the ELK when it was just a Calf, Used to fish it with the tail pulled off of my grub on a weighted head. That was when I wasn't throwing the Multi Stiff wire with 3 hooks and 2 blades. Yea, Ive been around. LOL
  24. Good vids BBT, I did not see your "suggestion" until after I watched the video. The end quote was just as memorable. LMBO
  25. I enjoy catching fish. 1 fish is better than no fish. I enjoy every fish that I pull out of the water. I go "fishing" but I guess a couple of you go "Big Fishing" , and that is fine by me. I am not keeping 99.9% of what I catch, so I really don't need the biggest fish. Don't get me wrong, I would rather catch larger fish, but I only get to fish about 4 times/ year so I cherish whatever I catch. Once the kids are grown or old enough to tie hooks, cast, pull their own snags, I will be able to guff about only catching the elites. But until then, I will be satisfied by whatever tugs.
