  1. I second SmallieBigs, have always enjoyed your contributions. Thanks for taking the time to share. Be safe, and enjoy it up there.
  2. Thank You to all who have sacrificed all. Shame that people do not care enough to learn more about how to find different solutions, than to sacrifice lives of others.
  3. Great read. Thanks for sharing. Just celebrated our 9 year wedding anniversary. I hope you continue to have great times on and off of the water. Daryk
  4. "I wanted you to feel the short shock of the cool water, see its murky greenness, and enjoy the thrill of the current as it pulled you downstream when you were taking a swim. Do you ever feel as refreshed as when you take a swim and then dry out on a hot gravel bar? After a long, shitty winter Summer is almost here. Get out there and enjoy some river magic. " Well put, and thanks for taking us along.
  5. Sounds like fun. Creeks hold some large catfish.
  6. Am I the only nerd who scanned through all of the "BLAH's" to see if another word was implanted?
  7. Nice addition.
  8. Very neat, something that I believe will be cherished, especially if you show her how it is done. As a young boy, I did not appreciate things that were handmade/homemade, unless I had to do it myself. Then I realized what it took to make it, and I really enjoyed it more.
  9. Nice Pics of those flatheads. Those must have been fun pulling in. I have only caught one flathead, it was on the Mississippi River downtown St Louis bank fishing, about 14 inches long, but fought like nothing I have ever caught since.
  10. Congrats! Nice place you have, very friendly workers, and was easy to find.
  11. Cool, glad to hear it.
  12. Were you able too get the weight rating?
  13. what is the weight rating on the boat, also you mentioned no major leaks, how bad does it leak?
  14. Who doesn't like poaching at the zoo, when endangered species are on the dinner menu? Btw, I can drink a half barrel of Tabasco. ( in five lifetimes).
  15. Bunch of beds in the Big Cedar Lodge's cove. Not sure what area it's in. Lots of crappie, some are catching them pretty well. I am new to fishing the rock, so sorry for not being very detailed. Minnows seems to be the bait of choice for crappie.
  16. First time fishing Table Rock. We were fishing out of Big Cedar Lodge's cove. Tried green/pumpkin lizards, and wiggle wart along with a chunky spinner with a crawl trailer. I got some followers, but no commitment. I got my only fish, a large mouth with a rattle trap blue/purple with a red front. The bass was caught at 11:50 am. Many fish were swimming, lots of crappie, tried a few micro spinners, no takers. Used grubs with yellow tails and reddish brown bodies, along with white grubs. Going to Taneycomo tomorrow. Maybe I can double my success rate :-) Can't blame it on the weather. ...
  17. I wish that I was as good a fisherman as some on this forum, but I don't have near the time on the water, first time fishing Table Rock, out of Big Cedar Lodge's cove. Tried green/pumpkin lizards, and a wiggle wart, along with a chunky spinner with a crawl trailer. I got some followers, but no commitment. I got my only fish, a large mouth with a rattle trap blue/purple with a red front. Hope you have better luck. Daryk
  18. May great things happen for you and the recipient. Very well done. Von Reed, that's a neat idea of who may really appreciate it.
  19. Nice colors, and what a nice guy. If I was out fishing as much as I am checking out this forum, I would respond to your posts for trying, but I still have a lot of baits that I've bought and have not tried yet. I sure hope that those who received your baits are able to give enough good info so that you may be able to perfect your craft.
  20. Good luck to you Danger, I like the thought of bragging rights over money. I always have. It should be for fun, and you all have that figured out. Very cool.
  21. I'm not so sure I really like her first instinct was to pull out her camera phone and started recording while she was driving. Just doesn't sound like the safest thing to me. I didn't watch the video all that close to see the details but I didn't see any damage done to any other property other than his own. If he did do damage to other property I could understand and getting a leaving the scene ticket and possibly being arrested for road rage. I also don't fully understand putting your face on TV and explain the situation, but then I asked to have your name withheld.but I guess it takes a whole world.
  22. Looks good enough to be put on my truck, and tackle box.
  23. I like C and would gladly pay for one, along with a shipping fee.
  24. I read a quote years ago, no clue who's it is and I will share it here. "One is not dead until they are forgotten. " Keep her in your memory, and make sure others do also. Daryk
