Maybe a soft floor? From some of my reading, if you have a muddy floor (river bottom), it will malfunction. I believe you are fishing Meramec in the stl area, that maybe part of it.

Very sorry about the honest misinterpretation. I guess I missed that thread. Sorry also been thinking about this the last day or so,and I must apologize, I am out of my element. I don't typically get so involved and don't care to stir the pot on here. I had good results, and wanted to defend them.

But is it new? I mean it's just a beetle spin, only larger, and it doesn't have a blade, so it's really just a grub with no tail, which is really just a worm that creme was making back in the 1800's, or..... well it still uses a hook. I am glad to see you get local food. My wife is in a group, and we get things that are not local. Convenience is nice, they come to her work and deliver, but I am sure oranges are not locally grown. We have "farmers markets" also, and I worked at one as a kid. In St Louis, most of them are not farmers. I know from personal experience. Washing the produce has always been a pet peeve of mine. Do it if it makes you feel better, but realize if you just rinse it under your faucet you are not doing anything really. The pesticides are water proof. The best thing I have ever found was a trick we used to make our displays look better is to buff it on your shirt. Apples, plums, grapes cucumbers etc all look much better after a quick buff on your shirt or a clean rag. The fruit tastes much better also.

Nah, I don't even hate those who only bash others on here while not contributing anything at all. Heck even my post was on the negative nature that I was ranting about, guess I should hate myself. Just tired of reading posts that complain about a method that has not had a chance to defend itself. And those who complain about it most claim to have never used it. Been a long time since I have seen Bambi, so I am not sure what you wanted me to take from that.

While I try to stay out of these negative posts about the Ned, it bothers me to see people complain about it not being new, (no one has really said it was). Or the complaint of it catching small fish (so do many other lures). Or those who complain about Dave promoting it. I'm very glad that he has and does. About the gut hooking, someone posted a pic of a wart that was swallowed deep. Can we say treble hook gut hook? I'm sure that fish did not live,yet no problem there. Sounds fishy, and I didn't believe it myself, ( all puns intended ), but aluminum foil balled up and used like a sponge or rag, will remove surface rust. It will not leave any scratches and is safe for any chrome. I have used it on my Camaro's wheels more than a few times. Just wanted to share a tip.

It's really not any worse now than before. We just get more media attention,and 24 hour news. Really if there are sickos every where preying on kids, name 5 in the last 5 years. Where are they located? Who abducted them? Family members? You have better chances to win the state lottery twice. Let the kids outside! Teach them to be independent. When is it safe for them? When they are 21, and don't know how to navigate through the city? Turn off your tv's, and experience real life. Go out and have fun. Everyone who goes outside in a bad neighborhood doesn't get shot. I grew up there.I used to ride my bikes and skate boards there, never carried a gun ,never needed one.

The mentality for younger kids to be able to go outside by them selves has changed. I am 36, grew up in a rough part of St Louis City. It was nothing for me to go out and be gone half the day at 10 years old. If my parents knew what I was going to be doing, I could be gone all day. My son is 15, and my wife freaks out if he is gone two hours by himself. We live in a great neighborhood with a park that has 3 ponds right outside of the subdivision. I encourage my kids to fish, and play outside.

I always look while crossing any water. Good to know I'm "normal ". Well in good company anyhow.
