  1. Feathers. DEFINITELY! 😁
  2. Curious addition to this tale.....her last name was Clark. A genuine Indian with the last name Clark. Are you following me here ? πŸ€” Too bad we didn't have ancestry.com back then.
  3. She was in charge of closing the pool down at night, cleaning it, and opening it up every morning. She also had the keys to the soda machine 🀟 I, on the other hand...was an unemployed bum. Well..... pretty much....I did have a few yards to mow 😁
  4. I agree, but let’s look at it from a different perspective: The perspective I'm looking at it from is just curious why......"A black woman getting fired because..." ....is any different than a flat chested blonde woman getting fired because...., or a brunette with an apple-booty getting fired because.... Or just saying "a gal got fired" because.... Why not just say THAT? As far as I know I am the only one here that openly admits to being racist ( by today's definition). So, I'm wondering if openly announcing that you flirt with black girls is supposed to exclude you from any claims of hideous racism πŸ€” Because if so I'll share my story of screwing an indian chick in the swimming pool of a trailer park. She was a FIRECRACKER! πŸ˜‹ And nobody even got fired because of it. πŸ‘ πŸ˜‚
  5. What did her being black have to do with it?
  6. Farting is a misdemeanor. Sh!ting your pants is a felony.
  7. Naturally the reproduction matches the forage. This is why zebra mussel numbers decline once the body of water they are in clears up. And it's why clean houses have fewer mice, rats, and roaches. I'm surprised that your biologist friend doesn't pretend to know that. I use this psychology on my daughters.... to keep cereal bowls, bags of popcorn, glasses of milk and plates of half-eaten food from collecting on the floors of their bedrooms.
  8. Ok, here we go πŸ˜… So those tiny little capillaries running through fish flesh aren't gonna just empty themselves out just because you rip the fishes gills out, or lop off its head. And I know darn well that you don't put 25psi of air pressure into every fishes aorta to force it all out. Your brain has run amok. πŸ₯΄ I bet you a dozen of your best flys that if you had a fried or baked fillet from a bled fish, and a fried or baked fillet from a non-bled fish, you couldn't tell the difference.
  9. See what you've done ! Thanks, by the way. Way better than a lonely hamburger πŸ˜‰
  10. I'm a bachelor tonight, and was gonna grill myself a big hamburger......but now y'all have me in the mood to fry fish. 😁 Might as well start drinking beer.
  11. I haven't πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ When I get done filleting and trimming a mess of fish there is a mess of scales and slime to be hosed off of my cleaning surface, knives, and hands.....but very little actual blood. My ol' buddy Cricket filleted a 10# Buffalo on my table once, and it looked like he had butchered a hog. In that instance I can see where bleeding it out would have been beneficial. But for my personal fish cleaning purposes I'm just not gonna do it. If my fish tasted any better I wouldn't be able to get up from the table when I was done.
  12. I can't see that there would be any benefit to bleeding a fish unless you plan to throw it on ice for hours before cleaning it. My fish get "bled" while they are cleaned alive.
  13. The only thing that can move the tach needle UPWARDS is a shot of voltage through the charging system voltage regulator (gray wire). Simply powering up the tach (purple wire) only pulls the tach needle from its floated off position (usually 1000-2000 RPM) back down to zero. Nothing can throw voltage into that gray wire until the flywheel spins.
  14. You're 100% correct. And the intermittent loss of sufficient ground connection causes the sequence to restart itself until the cycle completes UNINTERRUPTED. πŸ‘ Who here hasn't had a cell phone charging cord go wonky ? Same exact deal. Flash-flicker-flash-flash- Ok now we're charging. πŸ™„ Replace the charging cord and you're all good until a mouse pube (or something) gets into the little plug and alters its connection.
  15. I'm surprised to hear all this. Every otter I've ever seen has appeared to be very docile, and even curious like they wished I would pet them. I guess I'm glad that I never attempted to 😳 I'll tell ya what critters have begun to kinda freak me out.....are these semi-tame Canadian geese around here. I swatted at one with a landing net because it wouldn't back-off and leave us alone, and 3 of his cohorts took offense and got downright violent. I thought I was gonna have to go "full Dion Hibdon" on those assholes and start heel stompin' and wringing necks.
  16. Sugarbritches and the girls got tickets to Motley Crue, Def Leopard, & Alice Cooper in Omaha this Sunday (Sunday? Yeah SundayπŸ€”) I was like... "Right on, have fun"πŸ‘ They said..What, you don't wanna see them? I said, "Look, I'm pushing 60 y/o and those dudes are older than I am. It ain't that I don't wanna see THEM, it's that I don't want THEM to see ME. πŸ˜‰
  17. I'm thinking that her and her friends are leaving out the part of the story explaining how they were either playing, feeding, or trying to cuddle with the otter. Either that or they don't know the difference between a Honey badger and an Otter. πŸ€”
  18. As far as the rubber composite they are made of....They are basically all the same. Quicksilver's gray ones get hard as a rock, to the point that you can't squeeze them, and don't last as long, but that's actually a good thing because primer bulbs and fuel supply hoses should be refreshed after a few years regardless. If the fuel hose has "quick-connect" fittings.....they need to be periodically refreshed also. They are only good for as long as the sealing O-ring inside them lasts.
  19. I honestly don't want to work on computer controlled outboards of any type or brand that have performance issues. My reputation is currently outstanding.....and I'd prefer to not screw that up. 9 times out of 10 what the diagnostic programs tell me to service does NOT cure the problem because the system is attempting to correct itself. The most important thing to an outboard ECM is to run....but RUN CLEAN. In short.........There's just too much going on there. I'm in this game to make a living, and keep my customers happy, not piss my life away. I'm happy to do maintenance service on them, but otherwise I'm hiding from them.
  20. Beats me. I heard for decades that wild trout with their pinkish orange meat were "SO MUCH BETTER" than the whitish-gray meat of a pellet reared stocker......but after eating a bunch of both my honest opinion is that they all taste about the same and it takes a few extra shakes of lemon pepper seasoning to cover up the slight unpleasantness of both. I used to think that I could taste the liver from the food pellets in stocker trout meat.....but in all honesty I taste the same thing in wild trout (and YES I'm guilty of knifing several bona-fide wild trout where I really wasn't supposed to...... Sorry πŸ˜” πŸ™„) I don't taste that in Salmon whether they are from Michigan or the Atlantic. Salmon just has its own flavor and smell. Fantastic! If it's fresh it's delicious, regardless of where it's from. I've only eaten Steelhead twice, one from Michigan, and one from Alaska, and they both tasted just like the Trout from Bennett Spring to me.
  21. Oh heck yeah! It's Jerkbaits & A-rigs, then it's Hula-grubs and Wiggle Warts, then it's dragging Carolina rig lizards......And then the spawn begins and we get to do some sight fishing and jig pitchin'. Then just about the time you're running out of jigs and Flukes it's time to start worming deeper brushpiles. Then before ya know it the better bite is on heavy jigs and deep crankbaits. Starts cooling off and we get that first cold snap.....Time to polish up those spinnerbait blades and sharpen those swim jig hooks. But wait...... they'll crush a Rattle Trap in the backend flats too ! Oh a cool Fall rain....oh chit.... Where's my Buzz bait & Zara Spook box???? If you're a bass fisherman and you find yourself getting bored throwing the same bait for weeks at a time......you are either asleep at the wheel, or you just ain't paying attention. 🀟
  22. Geeze, that poor ol'channel cat has lived a hard life. Bless his heart 😒
  23. I think the cool thing about LMB is the huge variety of methods and lure styles that you can use to catch them. And that they are willing biters through all 8 seasons of the year (yeah there's 8 of them). So boredom never really has a chance to set in. I do believe that these die-hard offshore livescopers will get bored playing that game after a few more years though.....and it doesn't appear that they have the willpower to turn that thing off and do anything else. πŸ€”
  24. Nothing white on a great lakes salmon, and that's some of the best "freshwater" fish you can put in your mouth. πŸ˜‹
