  1. Pretty lunch spot.šŸ‘ What's on the menu?
  2. I need a day with no wind, or a day with a North or East wind. Trying to blow leaves on my property lately has been like trying to push water uphill.
  3. About 13" on a #16 light Cahill nymph. Cold winter day about 1/8 mile below the bridge. Late 1980's, 4" of fresh snow on the ground. Only fish caught that day among 3 of us. Haven't visited it since.
  4. A 7wt. Legend Elite ? Mine is noticably thinner and softer than the old Legend Ultra's. Still a fine rod, but it lacks that hammer hook setting power of the Ultra..... which I like in a bass rod. I'm no strip-setter. That crap just ain't my style.
  5. Yeah I can't get soft-hearted about deer AT ALL. And also care absolutely nothing about MDC's recommendations regarding them. When thousands of them get their guts smeared all over the road daily, a few guys popping one in their yard should be the least of anyone's concerns. šŸ™„
  6. My thoughts exactly. The rod is about 20 years old, and served me well for summertime Smallies until I discovered it was the perfect White bass tool. Guides and wraps are still fine.....but the cork has just become petrified. This rod is pretty special to me, as me and it have had alot of good times together. I actually have it's sister Elite series in a 4pc 7wt..... but the Legend Elites are a softer tipped rod than the original 2pc Ultra's were.
  7. I knew I was coming to the right place with this question. šŸ˜‚šŸ‘
  8. I can handle that project, but I'd have to cut the reel seat off. It isn't THAT bad yet. I was just wondering if there was something I could soak it in (glycerin or something) that would bring it back to better condition.
  9. I feel like it needs something that will soak in and expand the cork..... but not immediately evaporate. It just has no moisture left in it. It's as dry as a potato chip. Hasn't started chipping off in chunks YET but it probably will before long if I can't "rehydrate" it somehow. I feel like car wax would just coat it and dry out.....but I don't know. šŸ¤”
  10. I love this rod. If they were still available I'd buy 3-4 more of them.
  11. My old St.C Legend Ultra 9' for 7 White bass rod is suffering from too many days in the sun, the cork is really hard & dry. What can be done to add some moisture to a piece of cork. I've thought about soaking it in Aloe lotion or something.....But is that gonna do any good? It's a wonderful rod, and it can't be replaced. Anybody know?
  12. Machete ! Boc-bock! 😈
  13. A pill that keeps her from complaining? If it wasn't too soon... then it'd be too late. I quit trying to operate on HER time schedule long ago.
  14. That's what sugarbritches always says. šŸ¤”
  15. Success ! šŸ‘ Now, get your credit cards out and stimulate the economy like you're supposed to. 😁
  16. I thought awhile back you said she was wiping yo'rear end. šŸ˜‚
  17. Well I asked the dude at the Shell station/Convenience store, and the gal at the fly shop. Neither had one, and it wasn't serious enough to start going door to door like a Jehovah witness begging for one. I truly didn't need anything, I just like to know where things like grocery stores, auto parts stores, marina's, car washes, ect. are when I'm staying in an unfamiliar town for a week or so. I mean Piper was down there and needed a 25hp Merc prop.....Good thing ol'wrench was on his way.....cuz WTF else was he supposed to get one ? 😁
  18. Well you DO gotta be careful. Too much idle chit-chat and the moderators (and several others) will start to hate on you.
  19. Jesus Christ! What did she do, feed you dinner at 2:30 ?
  20. Does it tell you where all the gas stations, fly shops, and grocery stores are in the Branson area ? No. šŸ™„ People down there aren't friendly with directions like they used to be.
  21. A near total blockage can suck the bulb flat.....if the blockage is between the bulb and the bottom of the pickup tube. The most common damage caused by a pinched or blocked fuel supply line is a ruptured or overly stretched fuel pump diaphragm. A floppy/overstretched diaphragm that isn't forced completely tight by the spring/plunger can't properly do its job.
  22. You can do a siphon test to make sure there are no fuel delivery issues. Just get the fuel supply hose lower than the tank, prime it, and see if fuel continues to freely flow for a 1/2 gallon or so. Some tanks are equipped with an anti-siphon valve.....but as long as the tank is lower than the motor you can remove it. Anti-siphon valves are only needed on pontoons, or applications where the fuel tank is above the motor.
  23. The law was stalking a gal up the road from me, and one day I was headed to town for parts and she pulled onto the road behind me. The deputies must have thought we were running a convoy because they pulled both of us over together. He brings this shepherd over and has it jump up into the cab of my truck. The dog starts snorting and carrying on....and the hotshot deputy gets all excited and tells me to put my hands on the tailgate and DON'T MOVE! Calls his buddy over to SECURE ME. After considerable shuffling around he says "Oh, ok, nevermind..... it's just a tater tot". šŸ˜‚ My daughter had dropped a tater tot from Sonic between the seats. Puppy wanted a treat. 😊 The gal behind me wasn't so lucky, they must have found something good in HER car because 30 minutes later her car was being loaded on a flat bed and she was nowhere to be seen.
  24. www.plentyoffish.com 😁
  25. Nah, doesn't fit. I'm forever selflessly tending to the needs of others. I just have this thing about voicing the thoughts that cross my mind. Nothing troubles me more than having to read someone's mind to find out what they REALLY mean. 😊
