  1. They are right, you can. πŸ˜‰ The finesse part is never letting it get to that. πŸ‘
  2. Well we finally got some local rain. πŸ‘ No eggs or jizz in any of these.
  3. Ham & Johnsfolly will be jealous.
  4. My 13 year old daughter is forever saying... "Dad, how can you possibly know all the words to that song?" Possibly because I've been listening to it since I was YOUR age ! Awhile back she thought Motley Crue was a fresh new band. πŸ˜…
  5. Yeah, almost as corrosive as Ocean Spray.
  6. It's a powerful solvent for sure. Given just a short time it can dissolve things made from aluminum alloys. And given more time, it can dissolve things made of hardened steel. Including the actual containers used to hold & transport it. Varnish should be the least of anyone's worries. As far as the government is concerned..... people who lack decent quality fuel could find it more difficult to PAY TAXES, so the balance is critical.
  7. I hear this A LOT, and I've tested the fuel in the boats of those who claim that. It has always been 8-10% alcohol, so there's apparently a bit of a "play on words" going on there. I used to point it out and argue about it, but I don't even bother anymore. Everything that I work on seems to run just fine on FRESH 10% alcohol enhanced fuel.....The fuel just has a definite shelf life.
  8. The best Fishermen that I know.....The best Trap shooter that I know..... and the best Billiard player that I know...... Never enter into competition, or seek to get paid for it. 'nuff said. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ
  9. Yo, I'm quoting what I was taught at MMI. If that is not how fuel Stabilizer works then.....By all means, Let's hear it ! I'm certainly not going to defend it, since there are a number of things we were taught that I later discovered were not exactly "factual". This is yet another reason why I don't automatically trust Doctors, Biologists, and other people who display degrees in "higher education". Because they are all full of $#!t. I kinda assumed that was true however...... because what could possibly be the reason to twist facts about FUEL STABILIZER ? So since you've properly googled it....let's hear it πŸ˜… Please teach us how fuel stabilizer REALLY works.....or is supposed to. πŸ€” And while you're at it, do us a favor and include the way you know that Google & the internet isn't programming your brain improperly.
  10. You might as well. πŸ‘
  11. The only thing hatching around my place, so-far, are Termites, and the long, skinny caterpillars with the twin yellow stripes. Saw a lizard running across the shop floor with one of those caterpillars in his mouth today.....He seemed really proud of it. 😊
  12. Not anything that's less expensive than killing weeds with the aged fuel....and replacing it with fresh fuel, no. I actually had a boat in the shop last year with a 26gal.tank 3/4 full of two-year old fuel. We siphoned it out and threw it on a hillside covered in pokeweed & poison ivy. 4 days later the pokeweed was a little wilted, but it still survived. πŸ˜… Now, that's either a testament to how worthless fuel can get within a couple years....or to the durability of pokeweed & poison ivy. πŸ€” Fuel stabilizer (Stabil) is designed to create a barrier on top of a container of fuel, sacrificing itself to evaporation, and preserving the fuel below.......But that can only work if the container of fuel is kept stationary and not being moved around and shaken up. Therefore anyone putting Stabil in their fuel with every fill-up (as alot of folks do) is just wasting their money. They might as well be using Stabil to polish their chrome wheels and trim.... because it does do a good job of that πŸ‘
  13. A mere amateur is all I am. But I'm not trying to be anything more. Just need something to occupy my mind If you consider yourself an amateur at photo/video production then somebody has set the bar WAY TOO HIGH ! The stuff you were doing 10 years ago, with equipment that was available before then, was fantastic. I can't imagine that it has done anything, if not gotten BETTER.
  14. The lifespan of fuel these days appears to be about 3 months in a sealed system, and about half as long in a vented system. It's normal for people to expect to get back out.....but Life Happens sometimes.....so it's common for folks to go out and notice that their outboard is running like crap.
  15. Here's the deal: With a carbureted engine that has adjustable idle jets.... Tuning with fresh fuel that has any type of additive in it, you can turn the jet almost a full turn before noticing any change. Dump that out and get fresh fuel with no additive at all.....and immediately 1/4 turn makes a noticable difference in how the engine idles and accelerates. Now, what does THAT tell you? If you're going to carefully calculate and measure the amount of additive, per gallon of fuel, each time you get gas...... then fine......but honestly, who wants to do that?
  16. I can tell you THIS: On a computer controlled, fuel injected engine.....it shouldn't matter whether there is any additives in the fuel, or not. On analog carbureted engines.....any type of additive in the fuel.... is detrimental.
  17. Right on, man! πŸ‘. What part of the lake are y'all picking on ? We need more rain here in the Gravois. I'm starting to notice a pattern..... When this arm of the lake rises from backwater, here come the Hybrids. But when we get a good flow from these creeks, that's when the Whites really show up. Right now the Whites are kinda spotty, and Hybrids are scattered everywhere.
  18. Today's FOD 😎
  19. Right onπŸ‘ Tell him to be sure to DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE, and rectify that along the way.
  20. The rain helps ! πŸ‘
  21. This is a thread about Badminton. What are YOU talking about. πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚πŸ˜
  22. I ain't believing that. πŸ™„ Dig deep.....DEEP...... No, DEEPER! Find one with tooth scratches all over it, and post a pic of it ! πŸ˜… I've got several FLOATING Rapala's with tooth prints on them. πŸ‘
  23. Everybody has THEIR GAME. For some it's Billiards, Basketball, Cornhole, ect. My brother is a genuine wizard on a Foosball table. (The best I've ever seen) For me it's Badminton. I just groove with it. Been a beast at it my whole life, and never really met a worthy opponent. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ
  24. After pummeling every college kid, and high school athlete that came around, as well as everyone from the local Pickleball club..... Nobody will play me anymore. 😒
  25. Ah yes, the lovely SINKING RAPALA πŸ™„ Is there ANYONE in the history of sport fishing.....that has EVER cleaned out the peg of sinking rapala's at the tackle shop ? The longest living worthless lure of all time! Yet everyone owns a few. πŸ˜…
