  1. Salted Caramel Crown hit town today. πŸ˜„ I'm happier than a fag in a dick tree!
  2. Oh Christ! A Husker fanπŸ™„ I shoulda known.
  3. Oh, BTW..... Cheers 😘
  4. One step ahead of ya. There was a "Stay or Go" post awhile back. I remain by popular demand. πŸ–•
  5. Got a source for that little tidbit of Intel ? Bet not.
  6. OMG πŸ™„ Go away!
  7. No burr, I just saw that you applauded his smartass post. You think just because I cut up and have fun kidding around on here that I don't have any credibility. Hell, you still challenge the fact that threadfin shad are present in Lake O for Christ sake.... just because you read some ding-a-ling biologists article that said that Lake O only had gizzard shad.
  8. The only thing you asked me to do was to "source my information". I am not going to go back through all that crap, quote, or copy & paste. If you truly care then do your own blasted research. Or here ya go.....If you want ME to do it FOR YOU then make it worth my while. I get 105.00 per hour. I'm not lying on here, or spouting false information, and I'm not trying to sell you anything. I don't care if you believe it or not. I don't believe some of the things that you probably believe in either. I'd love to love Hybrids....no doubt they are FUN. I did extensive research on them BECAUSE they are a blast to catch and I wanted to get good at patterning them. What I learned turned me against them, and it should you too. If I have posted anything regarding Hybrid Striped bass that is untrue, ever, and you can prove it, I'll give you $100.00 Get to work hotshot.
  9. When you're shooting/skipping a jig under docks, cables, boat hoists, etc. A wire weedguard just causes problems. You get the jig in.....and the wire looks like a lawnmower just ran over it. For standard limp-wristed floozie casting....they are fine. πŸ˜„
  10. Maybe. Those that know less about what they get paid to know about than some lowly outboard mechanic does, ARE out there getting a check every other week.
  11. Nothing is more fun and exciting to me as learning about, chasing, and catching pure untampered with, fish species. Ones that are there and 100% self-sustaining without needing any help from jackasses in lab coats that don't even know which end of a fishing rod to hold onto. If those type guys want to do something useful then they should just concentrate on keeping the water pure....so fish can continue to do what fish do, naturally.
  12. If you NEED to know, then find out. You obviously aren't gonna take MY word for it. I just WANTED to know, and I was able to learn the facts about it pretty easily. I'll tell you what else I want to know ... I'd like to know why you are projecting all this ATTITUDE my way? Did I insult you (and Billethead) in some unintentional way?
  13. It's exactly the same thing. Cross-breeding. When it happens in nature, the problem takes care of itself.... usually. When it happens in mass, such as when giant organizations participate in MAKING it happen, it can very easily cause irreversible damage. That has happened alot over our history, and I can't think of one single instance where it was a good move.
  14. Science is only good when it's accurate and applicable. Two hybrid stripers are unlikely to produce surviving offspring only because of the bouyancy and sticky/tacky factor of the eggs. BUT a stocked Hybrid Striper and a native White bass can, and do, produce offspring (mutts). And those offspring have traits that are not proven to be good for the gene pool in the long run. And if it turns out to be a poor choice....it is IRREVERSIBLE. They'll never be able to correct/fix it. Rule#1:. Don't phuck with mother nature! If biologists were as smart as they think they are.....then why are they still conducting experiments? Their actions indicate that they believe that they already know EVERYTHING.
  15. I understand why you thought that. You trusted that tidbit of info was factual because the person who stated it had an official sounding title that you associated with FACTS. But it isn't true. Do you understand why there is such a critter known as a "Meanmouth bass"? Same deal. Ever heard of a "Grass carp"? There ya go again.
  16. Snagger! 😊
  17. 🀣 I haven't fished a main lake point in 17 years. You know I leave all the MLP's to you rookies. 😎
  18. Almost forgot. Couple years ago a guy drug a magnet around under the Spring branch bridge here in town and came up with a fully loaded Ruger LC-9. He supposedly turned it in to the sherrifs office so they could try to track it down.
  19. We drug one around in the riffle below the stone bridge at Bennett and collected 4-5 pairs of cheap hemostats, a stringer, a little tape measure, 2 sets of nippers...one of which was a set of Dr.Slick's that I'm still using to this day, and a Schrade Old Timer pocketknife that I also still have. Next time I'm down there I need to do that again. Thanks for the reminder. πŸ‘
  20. Speaking of 3 fish, here's 3 fish in 3 consecutive pitches....same dock, same jig. πŸ‘ It gets exciting when that happens. 🌝
  21. A jig & craw is my #1 big fish bait. I've caught more bass over 5# on a jig w/a plastic crawdad of some sort, than any other bait I've ever used.
  22. A buddy and I checked out LP many years ago during the dead of Winter with 5" of fresh snow, the access was sketchy (we felt like we were trespassing) and there weren't any signs or anything, other than the old brown slat MDC sign at Lane Spring. We fished our way down only about a 1/2 mile or less, caught a few tiny little rainbows apiece, then packed up and headed for the Current. Rather unimpressed. I'd like to check it out again, and will someday, but if I'm driving that far in that direction then I'm more likely to head straight for Tan Vat or Parker on the current.
  23. Nobody knows much of anything about them, that's why I hate them. The boneheaded biologists think (or act like) they know..... but they obviously don't. I respect alot of the worthwhile things they do, but when they get bored and start playing Dr. Frankenstein it never turns out good.....and that's when the mis-information and cover-ups begin. There was never any EDUCATED reason to introduce their attic experiments into our lakes and rivers....and now they are roaming everywhere, steadily polluting the gene pool of their closest native cousins.....and they force us to pay for it. Even those of us that are staunchly opposed to it.
  24. You ever wonder where those hybrids there originally came from? There's a stretch of railroad rip-rap on the Mo.River near Booneville that is absolutely loaded with them too. Reportedly no stockings anywhere near there. Our assumed intelligent fisheries biologists claim that they predominantly migrate downstream, seldom found upstream from where they are stocked. Totally BS!
