  1. That's all we're doing, settle down. 😘
  2. Hey, keep your bowling talk in the Sports section. 😂
  3. Why would he need to do that? He's supposed to already know everything about you. What would the Lord have to gain by making you miserable all the freakin'time? "You're not worshipping me hard enough, so more pain and suffering"! 🙄
  4. Seaguar InvisX is excellent tippet material. I've tried almost everything available and it's my #1 choice. I use a perfection loop on the leader end, and a no-slip loop knot on the fly. And I'll even occasionally keep fishing after I notice a wind knot in the tippet.....cuz I get lazy sometimes.....and still have no break-off problems.
  5. That kinked up posture was my first clue. The coloration and unclear borderlines on the banding sure make him a good imposter. He's got the color down pat for sure!
  6. That's why you're supposed to have regular sex with your significant other....or at least SOMEBODY. Free tick check every night.
  7. I understand your delimma. You gotta be careful to pick something that you can follow through on. The spelling error was a solid choice. I couldn't shut you down on that one, so I had to just shut up and hand you your trophy. 😊 Good battle picking, bro 👍
  8. Drag chain helps, but yeah fishing alone from a drifting boat is like cooking pancakes while washing dishes.
  9. That's typical white bass fishing. I don't know how many times I have messaged friends to tell them "it's ON" only to have them come down the next day and get skunked. I know that in my 5 favorite spots you can go without a bite all day if you aren't there from 4pm until almost dark. They can be there and just flat out not bite or chase anything.....then suddenly turn on and you'll limit out in 15 minutes.
  10. I find it odd that we are always at "war" with invisible things. Why can't we have a war on ticks, or a war on 4-stroke outboards, or a war on millennials that won't get a job? Nope, it always has to be something that we wouldn't even know existed if it wasn't for the news outlets telling us about it.
  11. If the floor gets soft again, just add another shot of foam wherever you need it. It isn't like it's adding any weight to it, and since it's under the flooring it isn't gonna get waterlogged. If and when you do decide to replace the whole floor, you'll want to fill all the voids between the stringers with foam anyway. Every good boat on the market is built that way.
  12. Just take a spare (fully charged) battery, or two. Be mindful about the amount of time you spend standing on that switch.....don't waste any more juice than necessary piddling around in unproductive water. I can make a single charge on my 24v system last 3 days. You should be able to also.
  13. Easy now. If he's allowed to believe in Jesus and openly and repeatedly spread the word on that.....then bygod he's allowed to feed off into any other conspiracy theory he chooses fit. No matter how rediculous it might seem to others. We are just common dudes talking amongst friends here, sharing our own personal thoughts and concerns. Nobody here has any superior inside knowledge to dispute ANYTHING in relation to what the TRUTH is regarding COVID19.
  14. Go to the hardware store and buy a can or two of "Great Stuff" expanding foam. Drill a 1/4" hole in the center of the soft spot and blow a bunch of foam in there, then quickly set a concrete block on top of the soft spot to keep it from swelling up too much. Don't try to wipe off the excess that oozes back out the hole, or you'll make a mess, just let it set up all the way and then trim/break it off clean.
  15. Do you know why the Easter Bunny hides the eggs? Doesn't want anyone to know he screwed a chicken. Happy Easter, Papa 😉
  16. Yeah this just sucks. There's not near enough people sick and dying. Typical made in China crap, can't depend on it to do the job it was designed to do. 🙄
  17. The lawmen in my area are operating NOW like they should always operate, and that is.....If nobody is calling in making complaints about what you're doing, then they are leaving you alone. The deputy's aren't out looking for people to harrass, and trying to create trouble if they can't find any. No more pulling random people over for "license plate lights" and other lame reasons just to sniff in their cars and check for warrants. Life is (once again) good. 👍 Thanks COVID19 ! A frequent caller to the "domestic violence hotline" was told to leave and not go back, and to not call again unless someone was not allowing her to leave. This is the way it used to be, and the way it SHOULD BE. So since nobody in my family is sick and dying, I can honestly say that life is better now than it was pre-corona.
  18. Taking a nap on a gravel bar is not going to get anyone arrested.
  19. Loc-Tite Stick & Seal. Tougher than silicone but just as flexible, and sets up quicker.
  20. If people, businesses, (or countries) can't get along and work peacefully together then they shouldn't even associate with one another. Greed is the problem, and it shouldn't be tolerated by either side. If China doesn't value their association with the U.S., which they obviously don't, then why are we still hanging on. It appears to me that either we, or they, are acting like the girlfriend that just refuses to get a clue and move on.
  21. Yeah I don't break 8#, not on fish anyway. I believe he said he was using Vanish (which is junk) so that may explain that right there.
  22. You're not going to drift a fly accurately in a situation like that, so your best strategy is to try to lure the fish out to chase it down. Streamers (possibly big ones) stripped violently through the zone, Leach patterns swung through there, good ol' Woolly buggers, or surface flys, are your best option. If you know there are fish buried in there don't keep showing them the same fly over and over.....keep changing it up and eventually, if you have enough flys on you, you'll find one that triggers a few to give chase. Had a buddy guide me on the Current river a couple times, and he would lure the browns out of the log jams with a giant Rapala, pull it away from them, then I'd throw in a pine squirrel leech..... Boom!
  23. I think that as soon as the "all clear" is given, people will go right back to their herd mentality. For many(most) that is the only life they know. They don't find comfort unless they are closely surrounded by other people. This social distancing thing is wonderful for me, but my wife and her friends are miserable. They simply do not know what to do with themselves.
