  1. There's no disappointment there, you'll be perfectly happy with it.
  2. No bass in heaven, Mitch. Only trout. 😊 McCloud Rainbows I'm sure.
  3. Then hop on your heavenly Harley and Evil Knievel to the next cloud ! šŸ¤ŸšŸ˜ŽšŸ‘
  4. The absolute last thing I would consider worrying about is what will become of my "stuff" after I die. I won't be using it or even thinking about it anymore, so who cares? For those who believe that after you die you'll be "looking down from above", I have a question.... People change throughout life, some start out hating broccoli but later develop a taste for it, some start out fond of big busted blondes but later become attracted to tatted up skinny biker chicks. And then some become stricken with dementia long before they die and forget that they ever had people that they cared about. Their only loved one is a stuffed poodle with a blue ribbon tied to one ear. So which version of you will be looking down from above ? What if when you get there your spouse who died before you has taken back up with their FIRST husband/wife? Do you then SHARE?
  5. Actually they feared they were about to be swallowed by the sea, a perfectly rational fear considering where they allegedly stood at that particular moment, and Jesus accused them of having little faith because they showed concern for their life. As if God had never drowned anyone before. šŸ™„ So, school me on who put the fight or flight instinct into every living thing? And why? "Do not dodge that falling tree or you will burn in hell for all eternity". This leads me to think that only mindless buffoons who are completely ignorant of basic survival skills are accepted into the kingdom of heaven. Assuming that I lived long enough to breed, who is to care for my children after I dare the sea to drown me, or the lion to eat me? Because the judge who sits below the words "in God we trust" says that I am responsible for their well being.
  6. I get more satisfaction from blowing leaves than any other yard chore. I have always been a rake and burn guy, but I hauled off and bought a mid-level Stihl blower this year and I have had so much fun ! šŸ˜Ž
  7. I was under the impression that all of that unending faith in the holy spirit was the salvation for such delimmas. If you believe like you claim that you do, then you shouldn't have a care in the world. Just lay it all on God, relax, and watch it all sort itself out.
  8. He's very huggable, especially when you have something to eat.
  9. I wouldn't even bother telling them. Just forget that they exist.
  10. Cold hard truth. Love and respect is not a byproduct of genetics.
  11. More proof that the science is BS 20 minutes after the feast..... The one on the bottom is vegan.....she never even touched the turkey. So it must be something else.
  12. About 2 too many. And like I said.....it wasn't worth it the last time. But if it sucks we can bail as soon as we realize it and possibly save the day at Little Piney.
  13. Oh no, these guys aren't gonna be happy until they get a pic with Bullwinkle. The big kid and I are hitting the river one day this weekend, not sure which, or where, just yet. We haven't seen the Current in awhile but I hate that drive and I haven't heard a positive report from there in forever. The last day we spent there was a major letdown.
  14. That's what I'm talking about ! 🤟 We're doing hotwings tonight, Turkey dinner at the inlaws tomorrow, then Turkey dinner again at home on Saturday. My Thanksgiving float trip got squashed because 2 of the guys still haven't gotten a deer killed yet šŸ™„ Such high standards.....just kill a stupid deer and get it over with already !
  15. Nope! Ocean Spray ! Fifty cents 😊
  16. What's wrong with canned pumpkin? These women piss me off with their baked beans too ! They need to get over theirselves and just admit that NOBODY makes better baked beans than Bush's !! Just open the can, toss in some extra bacon or whatever, and heat it up. Done! Cole slaw? Forget all the BS! KFC does it best.....so don't even try !
  17. I just got introduced to salted caramel Crown šŸ‘‘ this year too. Yummy!
  18. So I'm 4 years behind Ness, that's not so bad. I'm sure I have added to his vocabulary a time or two. šŸ˜‚
  19. Why have I been through 55 thanksgivings and this is the first time I've heard the word "spatchcock"? It's like nothing really changes in the world..... except the words.
  20. Boy I'll say ! We just got a blast of wind that rattled the windows and flexed the deck pretty good. Freaked me out there for a few seconds. Wow! 😲 I think I'll let the good truck sleep in the shop tonight, and put a few bricks on the front of the Jon boat.
  21. Buck, Schrade, and Ka-bar have steel that I like in a working knife. I do have a Puma that is a great squirrel knife, steel is harder than any other knife I've owned....you can grab a stick and smack down on a squirrel leg and it cuts it clean, no harm to the edge at all.....but sharpening, when it actually needs it, is a lengthy process. For filleting and for all purpose kitchen (food prep) stuff I love the common wood handled Rapala's and American Angler electrics. My EDC is a 5.99 Ozark Trail folder, it sharpens easily, clips on my pocket, and just fits my hand good. It opens boxes, cuts hose and strips battery cable.
  22. A Zoom Swimming Fluke on a 1/2-3/4oz. football jighead is THE bait for hybrids there.
  23. Grew up on the Mississippi, it is reasonably tame, and the risk that exists is usually worth it. The Missouri is downright dangerous and doesn't offer anything to make it worth the risk. IMO
