It's been mostly worms and C-rigs for me, while gear fishing. Usually a flathead. The first time I ever fished a Ned rig I couldn't get away from the barely eater sized channel cat. Blues, channels, and flatheads all love a Clouser Minnow when flyfishing.

Used to be a dude named TJ around here that trolled a Mann's 20+ for big kitty's. He did pretty good. Produced some videos about it.

There's absolutely no benefit to shooting a compound bow "instinctively". Matter of fact, the best bow for instinctive shooting (or even bare-bow shooting) is NOT a compound. And definitely not a compound with a cam.....which her bow has.

I could show you pics of kids THAT DON'T WORK HARD AT ALL at it, holding 6-7-8 pounders. And not just ONE..... A whole limit of them. Nice fish, yeah ! You're the one that mentioned the "tech junkie" stuff, so you shouldn't get bent because the thread went there. Psycho! 😅

Nothing is WRONG with me. I was being helpful.....or trying to be. Without a finger above the nock, how can you insure against the arrow nock creeping up the string? And I said nothing about her anchor point. And NO SHE ISN'T "instinctive shooting". A photographer would have only a millisecond to capture THAT shot if she was. She is clearly anchored. And the bow is clearly not square. If anyone is speaking without knowing what they are talking about......it might be ol' Billethead. 😉 She's "GAP SHOOTING" alright 😅 I was offering tips to lessen that gap ! It's been awhile since I competed, and I don't even own any archery equipment anymore, the tornado ate it all.....but if you'd like to make it worthwhile I will accept a challenge. She needs a little work on her form. 1 finger above the nock, 2 below. Relax the left hand allowing the elbow to rotate into the comfort zone. The bow looks a bit out of tune. Is anyone knowledgeable from Genesis there, to instruct on how to set the bows up properly? 4" fletching would be better too. Accuracy is more important than speed/trajectory.

I know one thing......or at least I think I know it.....This is the first year in my memory of the daffodils, and this pretty bush in my yard (whatever it is) ever going into full-bloom during the month of March. Lilac and Dogwoods haven't even started though. Kinda odd, isn't it? And all the oaks in my area are still holding on to 1/2 of last year's leaves.

I only know about the Osage basin rivers & streams. I haven't fished the Meramec in ages. And the Gasconade looks about normal, no? Every spring there's a bunch of people that say "OMG I haven't EVER seen the lake this low".....but they obviously have very short memories.

I've seen them even lower in fairly recent memory. April shower's.......

If you look over the regatta permit listings you'll see that there aren't many open dates here. Unless you plan a tournament a full year in advance then you gotta take what you can get.

That ain't me. I don't accept anything as factual until it is settled in my mind....by ME. I tend to love all dogs, and I'm not convinced that a Pit-cross can be put in the same category as a full blooded, block-headed/bull chested Pitbull.
