  1. Study your policy. If it doesn't say anything about it, then ask. (Get it in writing). An old aquantance was killed in a boating accident during a tournament, and his co-angler was badly injured. His insurance (while acceptable to the tournament organization for accepting his entry) balked and didn't cover squat. The guy's wife and the co-angler received nothing, and was even sent a bill for recovery of the boat.
  2. Sounds crazy fair to me. As long as you don't participate in competition events or do any guiding you should be fine. I'm doing some work on a Gieco claim right now, and they are being very easy/pleasant to work with.
  3. That's pretty darn good! The last rig I had fully insured for competition and guiding, the premium was 360.00 every 3 months. That was in 2005. That was through Farmers and I never made a claim so I can't comment on how good it was.
  4. Practically every boat I see has 2 GoPro's on it nowadays. If there's a question then produce the video.
  5. True. Nothing more than some rapidly rising water would halt all production, and the answering of phones around here right now.
  6. There have been several really good format ideas brought up, and quite a few clubs have been using them for a couple years with no issues. We have the technology available to do it, it isn't expensive, and IMO it's way less of a hassle than culling and babysitting fish in a livewell all day. The only downside I can fathom would be that during the spawn a fish glued to a bed could possibly be scored more than once.
  7. Yeah but he said he caught a few whites and a mutt. That's all it takes to get me fired up.
  8. Check out all the tournaments for this month, on Lake O alone.... https://www.mshp.dps.missouri.gov/WP04Web/app/searchRegattaWeb?action=Search+Again That's ALOT of relocated bass, just for one month on one lake. There are even more inthe following months. Why is the tournament fishing community so slow to warm up to a better format? I don't get it.
  9. I guess my point was that I'd be real surprised to see a policy that you're only paying 150.00/yr for to cover a 5,000- 7000.00+ impact claim. You might as well spend that 150 per year on beer. If I could buy insurance for 12.50 per month, and that insurance would actually protect me financially......heck yeah I'd buy it. But C'mon.
  10. Those cheesy looking things in that ad are an invitation to the ER.
  11. No thanks! I too am no stranger to creosote splinters. Was a cable TV installer for 6 years. I stuck with the lowest utility on the pole because I'm afraid of heights. And when hunting out of trees I always look for a tree that'll break up my outline while keeping me as close to the ground as possible. (First branch even with my shoulders). You're probably one of those guys that has buzzards and owls flying under you.
  12. Every one I have ever known of has just went out of sight of the ramp. They typically don't put anymore hours on that rig than they have to. Especially if it's a less than beautiful day.
  13. Why don't you get some heat down there so that girl doesn't have to wear so many clothes. 👌
  14. Well when we do that let's buy some of these and have a cockfight ! The proceeds that Phil gets for having the ad on his site can pay for the medical expenses, and to retain a lawyer.
  15. Google maps has a point to point distance feature. Check it out.
  16. Prions are those things that suddenly feel like something is biting your leg, but when you reach down to get it.... there's nothing there ! I hate those things. Ya know, the reason you don't see them is because what you felt was them slipping under your skin. Every one you've ever felt, your whole life, is crawling around inside you, breeding with each other. They cause those midnight charlie horses, weird unexplained eye twitches, erectile dysfunction, and sharts. I got rid of all the ones in my body....and you can too. Just send $99.99 to my GoFundMe page and as soon as the patent clears I'll ship you the painless/tasteless one-time treatment that rids your anatomy of these destructive organisms FOREVER. If not for you, do it for your loved ones TODAY.
  17. It's not even a conspiracy, it's just BS MDC propaganda. In a few more years nobody will even be talking about it, they'll have moved on to something else and you'll never be bothered by the worries of CWD again.....even though nothing was ever done about it. (Except a buttload of money thrown at it) There will still be Bradford Pear trees, Emerald Ash borers, Asian carp, Zebra mussels, and Mustard greens too. We just won't talk about them anymore.
  18. There are a bunch of old deer camp pics from back in my grandpa's day, dating back to the 1920-30's in a box in my closet. Bunch of little spike bucks and 6 pointers. One MIGHT BE an 8pt. But no big massive racks, and these guys were darn good hunters.... yet very proud by the looks on their faces. The fish and quail pics are way more impressive to me. We have more and bigger deer today, but way fewer birds and big fish.
  19. Well now wait a minute..... Captive deer, Fed what? Bred with what? Injected with what? Sprayed with what? It never was an issue before those deer....who were under the care of who? Yes, sorry, I think we are talking about a man made/man induced disease. As was Mad Cow. Take man out of the equation and it likely never would have happened. Agree, or no? I'll not argue further.
  20. Yet another reason to pat a biologist on the back.
  21. I'll PM you. I don't wanna get in trouble here
  22. How come deer never get Parvo, distemper, rabies, hoof&mouth, mange, lymes, eurlikeosous, or any other contagious diseases to be concerned about? It's always something complicated and expensive to diagnose....and impossible to treat or avoid.
  23. I'm even prouder of myself now, for staying out of this flim-flam operation.
  24. You know what the definition of "Relative Humidity" is ?
