  1. Trust me, nobody is gonna do anything to elicit a stop. It ain't about the 25 bucks. If this bill passes then everybody is gonna know that operating above idle speed is gonna be probable cause for a stop. And once stopped you and your crew are subject to a shakedown. I challenge you to find a single party boat or wake boat without weed, coke, crank, or molly's AND A FIREARM onboard. There won't be many wake violators, I promise ya. Many of the big boats here are coast guard registered vessels, people do that to save huge on taxes, stupidly, but most don't read the fine print that says if you're operating a CG registered vessel with illegal drugs onboard it is a federal offense. They keep those arrests out of the "news" because they love to surprise folks with that one.
  2. Are you kidding? You should hear how loud they squeal about having to pay 1.00 for a bottle of water at Coconut's ! They are too cheap to tip the dock hands and waitresses, and they peruse Facebook everyday to see whose gas is cheapest, so I'm betting that a 25.00 wake-ticket would totally ruin their day.
  3. Everytime I get a bite it is a potential state record.
  4. That was my initial thought too, but nobody can deny that the time to do SOMETHING has arrived. They're gonna have to come to terms with something pretty darn quick. There is one consequence of this particular set of new rules that I bet nobody is thinking about. Such as it would make the upper Gravois (above the neckdown at Mill Creek.) an idle only area for boats over 26'. Lots of big boats live above there, and those folks are gonna have a poop himmorage if they have to idle 5-8 miles whenever they leave or come back to their dock.
  5. If the automotive and Marine power manufacturers wanna take the hit then I'm good with it all. What I'm not good with is passing the extra cost of these "improvements" down to the consumer.

Missouri. And so were my parents, grandparents, and great grandparents. Further down near the base of my tree were some highland Scott's by the name of Paden who likely fly fished and hunted birds over dogs. They only came here because the climate was to their liking, the trees were taller, the churches smaller, and the property was free. Presbyterian's don't ya know.

Definition of benefit 1a : something that produces good or helpful results or effects or that promotes well-being. Benefits here are splendid They aren't gonna be splendid for much longer though if it doesn't warm up a bit so I can get some work done. I'm about to hard boil my nest egg.
  9. Except for the temporary dust cloud when a car goes flying down the gravel road, the air is perfectly fine here.

My boss let's me build snowmen, shoot air rifles, go fishing, and pretty much anything else that makes me happy. Don't you wish you had a boss like mine? Besides, we honor MLK day around here.

Thats the exact mentality that starts problems. Florida LM should be left in Florida.

Why? Are you seriously doubting that they are here ? That's rediculous. Did you know that there are Musky, Northern Pike, Brook trout, Aligator gar, Piranha, and a White bass sub-species that has yet to be identified in here also ?

What would be the reasoning behind stocking Threadfins? Biologists probably think that a greater percentage of Threadfins will help feed crappie and juvenile bass, but all this mixing and blending of fish species, by man, is not needed. Fish should be left to adapt naturally. The introduction of threadfin probably hurts the natural minnow and insect population that would otherwise keep smaller fish fed throughout the year. Coating the bottom of the lake with shad poop isn't any better than having the bottom covered in algae, so WTF is it that makes them think they are doing anything beneficial? If it was up to me I'd fire all but about a dozen of them, and reduce the funding of those remaining enough that the only thing they are studying are the things that truly matter. There are too many biologists out there trying to justify their phoney baloney jobs. And most of them are doing more harm than good IMO.
  17. What you have here is a bunch of engineers making work for themselves. If they wanna do it on the bigger motors (above 100hp) that's fine, but for the love of all things PLEASE leave the little motors alone ! The amount of BS being incorporated into 15-50hp outboards is rediculous. The amount of hours put on the average lawnmower is far greater than the amount of hours put on the average outboard motor, so if it's all about clean air then why aren't they doing the same to them? I'll tell ya why, because they know that NOBODY is gonna pay 10k for a friggin' lawn mower unless they are using it commercially and it is capable of paying for itself.

I don't know the science of it but the biggest enmasse shad kills I've witnessed have happened after a period of no dam generation. A little current seems to help them survive.

None of the above. Nobody around here knows how to drive apparently, and for some reason they always call ME. Happens every time it snows even a tiny bit. And my wife wonders why I always question the thinking capacity of everyone. Perfect example. And it ain't a SPRINGER !
