  1. I throw Lucky Craft 78 and 100 Pointers, and Smithwick Spoonbill Rogues. Line is either 10 or 12 P-Line CX Premium. (10 for the 78 Pointer) The best jerkbait fisherman I know uses the same, but he uses med-heavy spinning gear.
  2. Walleye... Big ol'Blue cat from Grand..... White bass... That's all I'm saying.
  3. I made the mistake of constantly checking and tightening all the screws on my Gamo. Once I started leaving them alone and just let them decide where they wanted to be (they aren't going to fall out or anything) then my groups got real consistent and stayed there. It was my experience that even with loc-tite the screws will back off about 1/10-1/8 turn after shooting awhile, but then they will stay there, they don't continue to loosen. Just thought I'd throw that out there in case you hadn't already figured it out. I have quit watching instructional videos on YT because after the basics are learned the rest is just crap that gives you too much insignificant BS to think about. There truly is such a thing as being too smart for your own good.
  4. I can't explain why but I like a "short" 6' casting rod with a shorter handle for jerkbaits. I use the same rod for WTD baits or anything where I am predominantly using my wrist to manipulate the bait. The shorter rod with shorter handle just feels right to me. Since the rod has a shorter handle, the actual length from reel to rod tip is the same as a 6'6" with a normal length handle, so actually the rod isn't that "short", and the handle doesn't get in the way when twitching and doing wristy type things.
  5. The guns you're selling are all .177 aren't they? So have you shot the .25 yet ? I'm interested to see what kind of penetration you get on a phone book/catalog at 30 yards.
  6. Lots are experiencing it, I hear it all the time. It's a computer glitch, not mechanical. I can't fix it
  7. Sounds good. Really all I need to do is clear some brush and throw together a few saw horses. I have a stack of old dock foam for backstops.
  8. Airguns, bows, and slingshots are unregulated and that's the greatest thing about them. Please don't ruin it by speaking of rediculous legalities that might exist in Feathertown. Hopefully as long as cordless drills, pneumatic staplers, and nail guns can be possessed without a plethora of hassles, so will air rifles.
  9. I like that Hawke. I need a new scope bad. Soon as all this Christmas BS is over with.... I ordered pellets and another magazine for the Swarm from PA yesterday, supposed to be here on the 27th
  10. I'm building up a hell of a dinosaur collection. Soon as it warms up we need to do this. I'm anxious to shoot that Hatsan .25
  11. The folks at Pyramyd are as good as it gets I think. I have called and talked to them twice and they know their business. Even though they told me otherwise I just insisted that Gamo had ammo that would shoot good in their guns... but they were right. Gamo pellets are junk. I could have saved 40.00 if I had listened to them. They also coached me through my dealings with the Crosman custom shop on the pistols I was having made. I don't think I'll ever deal with anyone else on my airgun stuff. They rock it.
  12. WTH? Who'd you order it from? Not cool at all, I'd be pissed. Pyramyd Air always ships pellets completely enclosed in foam. Hopefully it lived through it and you don't have to deal with any returns. What scope came with it ?
  13. Kim's posterior is like a White bass. Some think it's too fishy tasting, but that's only because they are doing it wrong. We'd better quit
  14. We're talking asses here, not brains. Once you connect the two there's no way to win.
  15. Also, whenever there's talk of Whites there's always a bunch of guys that wanna compare them to crappie. That's like comparing the asses of Ellen DeGeneres and Kim Kardashian.
  16. I'm just trying to understand how/why so many guys get all batshit crazy over chasing crappie. I mean there are tons of people who do it year 'round, and it's the only fish they even care about. Seems like a boring life to me, I just wanna help them recover from it so they can live happier.
  17. The other thing about crappie is that there isn't a teaspoon full of meat difference between the fillet from a 10 incher and a 13 incher. Their heads and tails get bigger but the chunk of meat, after all the water is cooked out of it, is the same dang size.
  18. Whites taste like fish are supposed to taste. Since they have a very short lifespan, spend the majority of their time in open water instead of hanging out under a dock or sulking under some log along the bottom of the lake just sitting there being lazy, I'd say they are the cleanest/healthiest/purest fish you can eat. Less "fishy tasting" than salmon or tuna by far.....and who doesn't love salmon and tuna ?
  19. I'm not a huge fan of the WP really. There is a specific niche that it fills for me but it isn't often that I fish that way. I bought 3 initially and currently have only one left. What I like to do with it is to get in close to a bank (a bank without docks) and sling it parallel to the bank as far as I can cast it, then just keep it plopping along. A fish will eventually get behind it and start following it until another fish shows interest, then he gets jealous and crushes it. A buzzbait would do the same job if you could cast one as far as you can a WP.
  20. Swing by and check out this 7'6" Dion Hibdon signature deep cranking rod I have. If you like it I'll make you a sweet deal on it. I'll let you take it out for a couple days to see if it suits you. The thing will sling a Whopper Plopper a country mile.
  21. Understood. I have little tolerance for a biligerant drunk. This boy however just fell victim to an officer who was gung-ho on making a name for himself, and the ones above him attempted to cover that up. If it hadn't been for his dad having some money, and ONE good honorable officer then they would have easily pulled the wool over the public's eye like I'm sure they have done many times in the past.....and will in the future.
  22. I only get to see the rediculousness when someone quotes it. "the street creds of Orvis" Did he really say that? Wow.
  23. Livewell valves have a habit of developing leaks. Any number of things can be the culprit. Just gotta go through the process of elimination, or remove stuff that blocks your view, put the boat in the water, sit back there with a flashlight and look for drips. My old Nitro takes on about a gallon every 2 hours if I have a passenger but stays dry as a bone if I'm solo. I'm not even remotely concerned about it.
  24. I just make two quick slits and peel it out. Takes about 4 seconds per fillet. My dog loves to sit there and gobble the strips of red meat, and any eggs. Gives him some rank breath and wicked farts, but hey it's protien and Omega 3. Good for him.
  25. Nope, not at all, very cooperative. He wasn't even that wasted. Just 20 minutes before being pulled over he was ruling the volleyball court at Coconut's. If you are sober enough to win 3 volleyball games in a row then I'd say your coodination is ok to drive a boat.
