I like "Ozark craw", or "cajun craw" type jig colors around here.
In the Fall I like to sneak around in fairly clear shallows, pitching to anything that could hide a fish.
If I can throw a rock into 10 fow then I'm not far enough back.
The "majority" of fish ARE NOT where I am, but the ones that are will be located exactly where I think they are.
You just have to take your time and be sneaky (no transducers ticking, no livewell pumps running, no deploying of Power Poles, and depend more on trick casting from adrift instead of constantly adjusting boat position with the TM). If you're spooking turtles and cranes further away than you can pitch then you might as well go back out and fish the windy points and brushpiles with the rest of the "hi-techs".
