St.Croix, as bad as I hate to admit it, has taken a dump on their loyal customers. I was a huge fan for alot of years, but they lost me when they decided to quit making good flyrods. Many of the other rod manufacturers are doing the same thing. It's just the way things are nowadays I guess. What good is a lifetime warranty if they fully intend to discontinue the model in a year or two...and replace it with something totally incomparable ?

Nope. And parts for the ones they did make for years, are becoming scarcer, and more rediculously expensive, every day. It's obvious that they just want them to die and go away forever. A new age is upon us. A truly good/reliable 4-stroke outboard COULD be produced.....but it would be a HEAVY SOB and nobody would buy it because of its weight/power ratio.

The introduction of computer controlled ignition systems, fuel systems, and body control systems was supposed to be a GOOD THING, ....but who/what has it benefitted? Not the auto makers. I had to do one with a little flipper tail....just cuz. They need eyes, but I don't know how without making the head squished in... which totally kills the action. I know because I've already tried. 🙄

It tied bigger than I thought it would. I only got the "Wide", but I'm going to order some of the next size smaller.....cuz yeah, it's a bit too big and fat for Whites I think. Although you can trim it.

Pretty neat stuff! Doesn't hold water much, and it's way easier/quicker to tie with than that Chocklett wrap stuff. This fly here acts real sexy in the swimming pool. Can't wait to show it to some bass of ANY kind. 👍

This ^ It's also the main reason why Lake O is the #1 fishery in the state, for every species it is housing. Not the most pleasant lake to be on....but the fish don't care about your feelings. 😉

Back in the mid 80's some bales of Colombian was fished out of the Mississippi, and some of it made it to my home town.
