  1. A '95 should just have a single fill/recirc pump for each livewell, and a breaker panel. Do the switches have lights on them?
  2. What came first, the car, or the fence?
  3. I haven't yet. Was going to Friday but work got stupid and dinner plans changed.
  4. Is that the closest national park to China? šŸ˜…
  5. Family reunions, funerals, and weddings are things that I choose not to participate in. And why anyone would be looking forward to going to either is a puzzle that can never be solved.
  6. How much setback is the Atlas jackplate? And is it 100% square with the hull? No slop in the steering system? Are you running a prop that some prop-shop scientist has altered the cup, pitch, or diameter? Or is it a prop that you can order a duplicate of first thing Monday morning?
  7. Hey, fresh salmon and halibut is often better than cash. šŸ˜ŠšŸ‘Œ
  8. Well, I was given this today... The official mascot may indeed be......the COVID bat ! Not sure how to feel about this. Funny, or not funny at all? šŸ¤”
  9. Well yeah, maintenance on a canoe is pretty cush. #1. Store it in the shade. End of maintenance schedule. šŸ˜…
  10. Oh dayum! I'm starting to recognize a pattern here. The best ones always come right before Al makes a post.
  11. You can say that again! I consider myself a master at boating or paddling in general, but you do NOT want me on the sticks in a river. I have a buddy that has a drift boat, Towee with rowing frame, and a Smithfly raft. I beg for time on the sticks because I really feel the need to get proficient at it......but I freakin' suck at it so badly that after 1/4 mile he kicks me out....and I don't blame him.
  12. Glad we got it straightened out šŸ‘ŒšŸ˜Š. Thanks for the shout out.
  13. Saw a guy make toons with PVC filled with GreatStuff expanding foam.
  14. Shim up the pedal up until when you are heeled down all the way the heel is level with the deck. Having to stick your toe (or heel) in a hole, while you're fishing, is worse than having your foot up on a high pedal.
  15. 2.4L chrome bore no doubt. They WERE screamers. I had it's twin on a 1987 Champion. That is the rig that convinced me that I needed to become an outboard tech. That powerhead got rebuilt twice, then re-sleeved and rebuilt again. Finally it broke the crankshaft, chucked the flywheel through the cowling and I put a slightly newer 200 on the boat. The 200 never had the power that the 2.4 175 had, and it blew up while trying to pass a Charger with a 200 Yamaha. I've had lots of boats. Loved them all except for one. I refurbished an old Richline 14' that you couldn't stand up in, it was tippier than a Walmart canoe. Used it to crappie fish and sink brush in the cove that I lived in at the time. I Hated that POS!
  16. No your thinking is correct. Boat/motor techs (like me) know about as much about trailers as they know about front wheel drive Subaru's....and they'll charge you tech rate labor to mess with it. I have to do some extensive work to a Crestliner trailer. I tried to tell the guy that he'd be better off taking it to a tire shop..... but he likes ME and wants ME to do it. šŸ™„ It's gonna cost him! But he says "that's ok". We'll see. šŸ˜…
  17. Ranger Trail were made at Wood mfg. before the sellout.
  18. Regardless of the weight the wheels shouldn't toe outward. Especially not only one of them. Who makes their trailers ? I'd call them.
  19. My 11y/o and her friends are the same way. I am actually on probation right now because she dumped a bowl of cereal on her tablet, and I, thinking it would ruin it, started laughing uncontrollably. We had already told her that if she didn't take good care of it we weren't buying another one, and it has already went crashing down the stairs and gotten knocked off the table numerous times. Wouldn't you know, the stupid thing recovered perfectly after drying out and doing a reboot. šŸ˜’ So what are we calling THAT generation? Because I have a feeling they are going to be the most worthless of all. They are just too smart, you can't argue with them because if you are a reasonably fair person.....they will shut you down.
  20. The old "Pro" and ProV series Yamaha outboards were great ! And still are. If you still have one, hang on to it !
  21. I've been seeing alot of that on the newer trailers. Seems like as soon as they went to the newer fluid trailer bearing crap, something about the axle is off. I'm not sure what the fix is. I'm not too sure that it isn't either the trailer frame or the suspension. Always one specific tire wearing uneven. If the axle was bent it would be both tires on that axle.
  22. It has an enrichener valve, controlled by a temperature sensor. If it is hard to cold start then the enrichener valve is stuck closed, or there is a problem with the sensor or its wire harness.
  23. That 40 is toast. Looks like it overheated and threw #3 out the side. She's scrap metal.
  24. No, and it will actually improve the resale value of the boat more than enough to compensate the cost difference between it and a smaller motor, when you decide to sell it. Making a boat more versatile always improves it's value because it appeals to more people. You don't have to run it wide open if you don't want to, but having the capability to tow tubes and skiers, or the ability to outrun a storm, is never a bad thing.
  25. The Little Niangua is one that can come up 3-5 feet in 10 minutes. Sounds like a low flying jet approaching. Followed by the sound of a dump truck unloading a bed full of large rock. The guy (Wolfman) that used to own Cedar camp got killed in a rise like that.
