  1. No I'm not looking at anything, I want you to come and fix it. And bring a 6-7wt. with ya.
  2. It SHOULD, by preventing them from creating tsunamis within a certain distance from you. The water patrol has plenty of time to police that. Start calling and reporting it. Nobody from MSHP is going to tell you that you are NOT responsible for your wake. Push the issue and they have to take action.
  3. That's an excellent idea. We should enter both. 😅
  4. Yes please. My wife's BFF is an ATT manager and she couldn't do it without killing ALL weather related alerts, but she did get the Amber alerts killed which was my other rant. Those freaking things would interrupt a business call/parts order every time any Dad in the state was 15 minutes late dropping his kids back off at his ex wife's house.
  5. Those are the kind of agents we are actually paying for. She should be training.
  6. My kinda gal. I couldn't have remained a gentleman. 😍
  7. Applebee's profit margin is 140k per month/per unit. Those are definitely not the kinda numbers you see from a sucky eating establishment. Pretty yummy menu by MY standards.
  8. 1. I never said anything about them not working weekends. Never. 2. I never said that they "never get out of their truck". What I said was...."They never get more that 50 feet from their truck, and that I hadn't seen one with muddy shoes in many years". It's an undisputable fact. How far did he walk to speak to you? (and if you say close to 100 yards then you're lying). I'm perfectly fine with Applebee's if they aren't too crowded. I don't enjoy eating in crowded restaurants. Thanks 😘
  9. Nope I never said that. Must have been that other jackass you like to argue with. But since he ain't here right now I'll fill in for him. So you call asking YOU for a fishing license "work"? 🙄 😄
  10. Of all the things I inhale on a daily basis (cigarette smoke, carb cleaner, gas fumes, hair spray fallout, nail polish remover, fly head cement, dog farts, CCA sawdust, 2-stroke exhaust, diesel fumes from the truck in front of me at the stop light...) Pollen is what we are gonna piss and moan about, and claim that is what effects us the worst. Rediculous!
  11. Everyday. 46 times per day. My phone goes off with a POLLEN ALERT 🙄 For hundreds of years people have survived just fine living with "pollen", so what has changed ? Humans have evolved into such delicate little critters, haven't they? Good grief ! So if you are one of these anti-pollen people, what are you supposed to do, lock yourself in a sealed room, take lots of meds, and breathe through a pillow case? Who's gonna pay your bills? Because there hasn't been a day without a POLLEN ALERT since the rent was due the last time. Who is gonna hide the Easter eggs?
  12. Did they get a regatta permit for this event? I see a 7:00-3:00 Crappie tournament listed for Gale access on that day, but nothing else. Not that I care, but it might be a bit of a clusterphuck if both events are taking off and weighing-in simultaneously. I'll pack us a few beers and some pork rinds just in case. 😊
  13. Drifting midges in really slow water is the only time I'll use a bobber, and I gotta be pretty desperate for a bite to resort to that. Nothing wrong with it, if it works for you and you enjoy it, but I just find it mind numbing and generally less effective.
  14. Love that app. It's what helps me decide if I wanna just find a dock and sit out a fast moving thunderhead, or call it a day and head for the ramp. I'll never be good enough to get back to the ramp, get the boat loaded, and be inside the truck BEFORE it hits though. That kinda skill doesn't kick in until the next life I guess. I gotta stab the boat on the trailer in a 45mph gale with lightning snapping all around, and get completely soaked while strapping it on and stowing gear.
  15. I always walk my 10 acres, and a few neighboring properties to see if I can find some, and I usually do find just barely enough to garnish a meal or two. I can't relate to folks that make a sport out of it, driving 30+ miles to some special place and becoming the first meal of the new batch of ticks. I have pretty much the same mentality about blackberries. If they are right here by my house, then heck yeah let's pick them and eat them, but I'm not gonna burn up a tank of gas and a whole box of Band-Aids over a batch of blackberries when the ones at the grocery store/fruit market are reasonably priced, prettier, and taste better. Morels are good.....but are they truly better than the $4.00 portabella's at the store? I don't think so. So it's all just the whole Hunter/gatherer, "I found this thing in the woods and now I'm going to eat it" mental thing, isn't it?
  16. Wanna ride shotgun with me ?
  17. We all need these reminders as often as we can get them. Those of us that are in boats nearly every single day are no exception. I catch myself being lax about stuff like this ALL THE TIME, and if I don't tighten it up it will get me eventually. Thanks for posting! 👍

    What's Cooking?

Well of course not, because they aren't a burger. They are a special biscuit...and they are delicious. 😋
  19. Since I shared pics of me with my purse..... it's only fair. Let's see 'em!
  20. Yet the bald headed buzzards get a pass.
  21. Around here we don't call those "friends", we call them aquaintances. 🙄
  22. Unless the frame is braced to match, and the axle moved, it might not pass inspection. You can't make a 16' trailer into an 18-20' just by lengthening the tongue.
  23. As far as the outboard goes....As long as there is a registration sticker on it then you only need a title if you intend to sell it to someone you don't know (or don't like). It is perfectly legal for you to use your dad's, or uncle's friend, or wife's ex-husbands motor. Your boat registration card (which is all you are required to carry) only has information regarding the boat..... Nothing at all regarding what specific motor is on it. FYI: if you do decide to sell it, then it is worth more parted out than it is as a running motor. 😊
  24. It's the ONLY work around, unless you just love lawyers and feel the need to help feed them. 😎
  25. If you shorten the tongue (any at all), move the axle fore or aft (any at all), change wheel or hub size, or alter the bunks and jack stand configuration, then you can remove the manufacturer plate and register the trailer as "HMDE".
