  1. Well sure. And on this lake they do.
  2. Why would I trust myself? I don't always. When I don't know what I'm doing I stop, go find out for sure, then proceed. And sometimes the info I get, from instructors and engineers, turns out to be wrong. When that happens I either have to figure it out on my own, or fake it and cross my fingers. I feel like the biologist's do alot of faking it. Way more than I do.
  3. I disagree. But who cares. I don't trust the information from the biologist's that get paid to study it.
  4. Technically, while on the banks you are supposed to keep the head and tail intact. So if you fillet them on the bank I guess you are SUPPOSED TO keep the carcasses with the fillets until after you leave the lake. Lots of people clean their fish from docks and at ramps however, so I think that's one of those rules that never gets inforced.
  5. Yeah how come? Because Al Agnew is an artist, should we ignore his advise and experience as a river smallie fisherman, or canoe paddler ? Ted even joked about it, poking fun at so called "biologist's" by saying....."Here, let the guitar player explain this to you".
  6. I always put lettuce on my sandwich. When the fish stop biting I sit down and eat a sandwich, and smoke a cigarette. The sound of me chomping lettuce and choking on a Marlboro usually makes them start biting again. I ain't lying 😎
  7. Here it is 2019 and we still don't really know. Yet we claim to know all kinds of other things that are way more complicated to figure out. My experience watching fish tells me that they are more easily disturbed by sounds that start and stop or that change in volume than they are by sounds that are constant and stable.

Yet you continue to post. 🤣 Couldn't resist it. 😋
  9. Road conditions here right now are bad-bad-Bad. Anybody out on the roads around here this evening are not gonna make it home unless they are in chains.

I'd call the neighbors and say "Hey, do y'all love this cat? Cuz I don't, and it's on its 8th life with me".

A wild feral cat is a different case. I can't have one crawling around in my customers boats, so if I can't persuade them to fund another place to play.....then yeah. I'm talking about people's pets here.

If I ever shot anybody's dog, or even cat that wasn't bothering anything..... I'd have to turn the gun on myself afterwards because I wouldn't be able to live with myself. I don't understand some people.
  13. Yeah but nothing gives guys like me wood better than a LOUD motor with 3 times more power than you need. WAAAAAP WAAAAP WAAAAAAAAAAP !!!!!! 😎
  14. Right! I don't have to give tying instructions or a material recipe either. I'll just keep going on and on about how awesome it is.....and everybody just has to argue about the right way to tie it, and the right way to fish it. It'll be the greatest fly of all time ! 💩
  15. I feel the need to design a hot new white bass fly, just so I can name it "Fake News". 😊

Doesn't every subdivision have one ?
  17. Always wondered what it is about flatheads that make them so tasty. Less scavenging maybe? Everybody says blues are so much better tablefare than channels, but I'm not convinced. If you trim the yellow meat from a channel cat he tastes just like a blue to me.
  18. As to which of those 2 motors would make the most noise underwater......Not a clue. Probably about the same.
  19. Typical wisdom tells us to approach as quietly as possible. There are exceptions, like a school of summer time white bass that will turn on after a boat passes overhead. Or a school of crappie that will go on the feed after pounding on the side of the boat. But I think the first approach should always be a quiet one. You can always find ways to make more noise if you want to, so it's probably best to have a rig that will operate quietly.
  20. Used to be a Catfish house in my home town, they served corn fed catfish that was absolutely delicious. Never heard anyone ever say differently. There's a pub in Hermann that serves it too, and I'd challenge anyone to take one bite and then not devour the rest of it. The channel catfish out of these rivers and lakes though...... you'd be a fool to serve that up in a restaurant and expect repeat business.
  21. If there is a boundary line then I think it would have to be determined by maximum flood pool elevation. I know for certain that you are still technically (and legally) on Lake of the Ozarks as long as you are below 660.01 regardless of how far up a creek you might be, or whether or not the water is moving.
  22. I see about 20 kittens there. Is that even a limit in Texas ? I never said that nobody ever caught fish illegally and sold them. What I said was that there wasn't any money in it. Not even enough to cover the cost of gas. So the claim that there are guys out there making a living by illegally catching/transporting/and selling catfish in KC is just absurd. Restaurants, or any other organizations, can get good enough deals on farm raised (and delicious) catfish, that buying fish from some clowns fishing below Truman (or wherever) would be galactically ignorant. Now how can you possibly fault me for saying you're "full of bull" for continually claiming otherwise? I've backed you up in the past when I felt that you made some good points....but I'm sorry, this ain't one of those times.
  23. I'll have to let that soak in for a bit. 🤔
  24. Either your memory is better than mine, or you're just spouting off even more crap that never happened. Your integrity can't be insulted because you lack any signs of it.
