  1. I was killin 'em on a swim jig during that time. Did any of the MLF pros pick up on that by chance ? I still haven't got to see it. Also, everyone talks like they fished the Glaize..... But when they were here they fished the first day out of Coffman, the second day out of the Glaize, and I don't know where else after that. I ran into one of their "scout dudes"???? A guy from OK in a plain Jane Basscat who saw me catch a few and had a bunch of questions to ask. Real nice guy but it kinda struck me as odd. Not sure that was 100% kosher.
  2. Hey, that's the only reason I can get away with ribbing him. ?
  3. That wasn't Otters they were talking about......It was this guy !
  4. The presence of otters gives them yet another reason for spending millions but producing jack squat. They need them there.
  5. I'd rather have a few river otters than some dickhead city boy walking around with an assault rifle ! ?
  6. Oh Man. Did somebody drop a Viagra in my Coke, or did that jig really give me a boner?
  7. Rory looks like he could swim just fine. Good looking river hound.
  8. I didn't know that. Thanks for setting me straight.
  9. Yep, both are fine ramps. Brown bend is a bit sketchy when the lake is below 657.
  10. Nobody saw it. If I had been thinking I could have told everyone that I tangled with a big Musky and it broke my pole. ☺
  11. Hunnewell supposedly had Musky in it when I was a kid, we fished it quite a bit but I never saw one. I got savagely attacked by a mother goose there though and broke a Lew's speed stick trying to get away from her.
  12. Could have been. That isn't too far to run, and alot of those guys haunt release areas.
  13. They launched out of Coffman access the first day.
  14. OK. If you can hear the relays clicking when you activate the switch, but the trim motor only runs sometimes or when it runs it sounds weak, then you need to clean and tighten your battery connections and inspect the black ground wire connection coming from the trim relay harness (make sure it is clean and tight). If it still doesn't operate after that then the voltage needs to be tested throughout its path to make sure the trim motor itself isn't failing. If there is no "click" when the switch is activated, then you either have a failing switch, a bad connection in the main harness, or bad relays. Typically anytime something electrical works SOMETIMES, or works only when it's warm but not when it's cold.....It is usually the result of a bad ground connection somewhere in the circuit.
  15. Neither will the youth of America today. If daddy won't buy them a 20' bassboat and a truck to pull it with....Then they just won't fish, they'll be gamers.
  16. Oh cool. Will they sanction GE too ?
  17. Hellbender. Type it in one word and the lameass censor doesn't recognize it as a "dirty word". ?
  18. I had planned on parting this one out because oddly enough it's worth more that way, but if someone here wants the whole motor I'll take 150.00. (it's worth about 400.00 parted out). Remember though that this one needs a shift linkage bushing that is NLA (no longer available). A bushing would have to be made. Pretty easy to do....but will take more time than I'm willing to put into it.
  19. I have a couple buds that will be recording it, and I've been invited to a "watch party" at Kinderhook, but we're having a fish fry/drinking contest at our place tomorrow night so I can't attend. I'm sure I'll get a chance to watch it eventually. I love the MLF format. Very cool stuff.
  20. Interesting. On what grounds?
  21. Pretty new bassboats are awesome, but I wouldn't enjoy owning one, and it always makes me nervous working on them.
  22. I'm blown away by how many good (expensive) baits I find hung on dock cables. Guys are so worried about going in and getting a scratch on their boat that they'll just break them off.
  23. I'll give ya 5 bucks for the Whopper Plopper and the Spoonbill Rogue.
  24. I go thru jig trailers pretty fast so I simply wouldn't bother using anything that required that much maintenance.
  25. Motor.....Year/make/HP ?
