  1. HEY ! He called me a "migo" ! Only other migos can call me a migo! I'll not post on this forum ever again unless he apologizes.
  2. I never will understand the importance so many people place on ball games. So they won't play ball.....WGAF ?
  3. There are fish suspended under docks, and there are fish in the backends around wood cover, or around wood cover along the banks. Topwater stuff, spinnerbaits, and swimbaits. I can't get a jig bite on this end to save my life.
  4. I don't think I have ever worked on a 75 Opti......So either there isn't many of them out there, or they are AWESOME. :)
  5. Not bad at all ! That KY looks close to 3#, was he? They were eating spinnerbaits up here today. No love on the WP for me either. We are supposed to have some weather Wed. I guess. Sure was nice today.
  6. Between 1200 - 1700.00 P&L to make it like new again. If I had the controls, and prop, and if it didn't have a chunk busted off the skeg I would rebuild it through the Winter, but as it sets it just isn't worth it to me. I could part it out and make 6-800 but I'd rather just unload it and have it out of the way NOW. Bass Enforcer, it is a 45 hp. (48 actually). There are alot of these motors out there, I just figured someone could use it for parts....or whatever.
  7. Gauges and cranking RPM varies from one engine to the next, so the actual reading isn't important as long as your high and low readings are within 10psi of each other. Oh, and who says I'm not a Merc man ? I have a whole parking lot full of them.
  8. Took this motor in on trade and I have no use for it. It has a cylinder scored (definitely rebuildable) and has plenty of good parts on it, I just don't want it. I have the title. 100.00 or trade me a decent rod or something and it's yours.
  9. On one of the rivers I frequent it has been during the first week of firearms deer season in the past. Not sure if that is the norm. I sat and watched as 500 browns all headed upstream in a big school. Every single one of them.
  10. Yeah I'm plenty happy catching 12-15" smallmouth with the occasional 18+. And I'm happy catching 4-7lb. Largemouth instead of the 10+ units in Florida/Mexico. I know where some world class SM and LM water is at....but I darn sure don't wanna live there.
  11. II used to fish T's on Lake O in a 16' SeaNymph w/30hp. Took some checks and was "angler of the year" 3 years running.... but also beat the rivets out of that boat and trashed it. It was a nice little boat that should have lasted 20 years. I destroyed it in 2.
  12. As you look at the tail section of a riffle pay particular attention to the furthest upstream spot where you cannot see the bottom, there will likely be trout there. And if the trout you are fishing to are fairly recent stockers then expect to catch several any place where you get bit. Stocker trout school up tighter than any fish I know of. It isn't uncommon to catch a double limit from a spot no bigger than the tailgate of your truck.
  13. II hate to hear that, JD. I bet that is miserable, but IMO doctors are full of $#it more often than not. This condition started because you scraped your tongue raw and then it became infected, so personally I would mouthwash with peroxide and brush my teeth 5-6 times a day, eat right and just let my body heal itself. No way in hell would I allow anyone to go cutting on me unless I was about to die anyway. And that includes any biopsy. Them automatically blaming it on a little bit of chew is rediculis.
  14. Some people just can't seem to have enough money. For dogs sake, how much more money does the man need before he is content ? Those type guys are like drug addicts. They are power hungry beasts.
  15. Every fishing video I see features guys catching a fish and holding it for 5 minutes before releasing. For the love of Whopper Ploppers PLEASE go ahead and turn the fish loose BEFORE your loooong drawn out explanation of how you caught it, and how special your rod/reel/line/and depthfinders are. By the time they turn the fish loose the fishes eyes are starting to glaize over. I'd wager that fishing videos have killed more bass this year than meat eaters have.
  16. I'd have spread mine out on the kitchen floor to get a pic of them all. Let's not go there.
  17. Fishing "secrets" have always been closely guarded. I can remember my grandpa lying through his teeth to friends and neighbors and keeping all kinds of stuff TOP SECRET when it came to fishing related stuff. It was without a doubt the only thing he ever lied about. The way he hid his car and stuff you'd think he was cheatin' on my granny.
  18. Yes 12v to the purple wire. Just tap in to the boat side of the starter solenoid/relay.
  19. The number of 4 pounders caught in Lake O this year is inspiring. I have been catching one or two in that size range almost daily since Spring, and the BBB results turned up scads of them as well. In the next few years we should have ALOT more 6+ bass to play with. Not sure what happens after they hit 7 lbs. They either start dying off or their feeding habits change drastically.
  20. Well I think the definition of "World Class" is: Among the best in the world. We'll never have world class river smallmouth fishing in Mo. but I can still be happy fishing our substandard flows.
  21. Where was this at ? Could have been from the stocking truck.
  22. It can be as low as 90 or as high as 125, the important thing is that both cylinders are within 10% of each other. You have 2 cylinders....but one carb, so even compression is what you hope to see.
  23. I dunno. Whether you take them home to eat or throw them in a livewell and haul them to the other end of the lake, the results are the same. Fishing is way less fun overall if you don't talk to others about it.
  24. No prob. Check your compression first, just to be sure it is worth the effort. If it was running fine then just died and wouldn't restart the motor may have severely overheated. Ignition system failure is pretty rare on Yamaha's, so if compression is good it is likely that a fuel system overhaul and a fresh water pump will bring it back to life.
  25. So nobody can fish that lake now, except bank and kayak anglers ?
