    The gage is correct. Although the radar showed us in the Red & Yellow for most of the night, we got nothing more than a light shower that lasted about 35 minutes. I think they need to back the sensitivity knob off just a tad on that radar image.

    Angler success rates on the Current are pretty respectable and consistent, so I say if works leave it be.

    Y'all gotta realize that the weatherman has nothing to sell besides bad news, if all they did was tell you things were as they should be then nobody would sit through one of their "forcasts". So calm down, Spring ain't over.

    I'm in no mood to Gargle it right now but I wanna say that Buffalo are native to the Miss/Mo drainage. Not aure why I think that otger than I know the commercial fishermen on the Miss used to set gill nets for them back when I was a pup. My Dad and Grandpa cut quite a few big holes in gill nets on the lower Salt and the Miss around Asburn after getting them caught in the prop. Nothing pissed my papaw off worse that hitting a gill net and having to spend 30 minutes getting loose from it. And those nets were always loaded with buffalo.

    Greasy, I used XT for 20 years and you're right about it being consistent and dependable, but I promise you that if you'll give P-Line CX Premium a try for just one day you'll never go back. There are others equally as good and I haven't tried them all but old dependable XT took a back seat about 5 years ago. The decent co-poly lines are just so much better, especially for rocky river fishing.

    All I can tell ya is that when guys in Missouri get really serious about catching Muskie they eventually head North. You could probably save yourself alot of time and gas money in the end by heading to REAL Muskie country right off the bat.

    I always thought that too, but apparently in the big rivers they are quite successful at spawning.

    Not sure about the Table Rock tribs, but up here it takes a good rain that swells the creeks a bit to trigger a mass migration. All the other elements and "signs" can be on, but until we get that Spring gullywasher it just doesn't happen.

    They always look like that, even the healthy living ones. Undoubtedly the ugliest, stinkinest, and most undesirable "thing" that swims in our waters.

    I love me some bluegillin' If you can find a pond/lake with big honker gills you can stay busy for another 3 months. Flashy stuff doesn't work well for me where I fish, all black seems to turn the bigguns on everywhere I have found them. This mini-arsenal here is all I ever need for gills...

    One question; Was it running and stalled....and now won't restart ? Or did you kill the engine via the key switch the last time it was running, and the next time you hopped in it it just went "clunk"?     You are crackin' me up! We used to make some killer jig rattles with christmas tree light bulbs/ steel shot/ and JB Weld, they were louder than anything sold commercially for that purpose.....but I truly can't say whether or not it was a beneficial tweek. Must not have been, because I haven't been compelled to add a rattle to a jig or worm for a long time. My partner and I used to stuff those things in both claws of a Guido Bug jig trailer and that made for one noisy a$$ jig.

    Excellent! You should take the fly rod to those Whites, it's the most fun a guy can have with his clothes on. What were you throwing at the pond bass?

    5 years in jail might as well be a life sentance, I always wondered how a person with a mortgage and children could possibly recover from that? Even 1 year for that matter. You'd loose your house, your job, probably your wife too..... which means you'd owe about 5-8k in child support when you got out, wouldn't have a drivers license until that was paid off, and would be limites to finding work within walking distance from your, uh.... Tent. Life Over!
