  1. Those are some great keepers quillback!
  2. I fished a 3" spoon last year over creek channels and had some luck. It was a cheaper bps brand I changed the treble hook on it and added a big split ring.
  3. Awesome day!! I knew I should've got up this morning!
  4. I like the Aurora black, but I've been fishing the chartruese shad in the jr. and having some luck with it. Funny thing about the chartruese shad color is it really doesn't look like any other lure in chartruese shad color pattern..
  5. I took your advice on adding the clip to the redfin snakem, and it does work and I have no issues with my redfins.
  6. That's a nice fish,Congrats to her!
  7. +1 on the mikey Jr. But I personally have had good look with the buckeye wake bait. Just add feathers and flash to the tail hook.
  8. I thought about it maybe working as a wakebait when I saw it in bass pro the other day. Never tried it, but would love to know if it works. Quill if you try it, let us know...
  9. I'll keep my eyes open, just hope you can get lucky.
  10. Yes dtrs, those grubs are hard to find. Reds tackle shop in Lakeview used to sell them in bulk, and was the only place I could ever find them. And they are awesome for cold water fishing. Some of the biggest spots I've ever caught were on that rig.
  11. I don't chime in often, but the 6# invisx will get you more casting distance and way more bites. I used to use the avacado colored stingray grub on bull shoals and norfork paired with the same jigheads dtrs talks about and its killer 365 days a year.
  12. Early morning Topwater...
  13. I would love to but I can't, but its sure nice to see people like you offer a nice gesture!
  14. I'm with dtrs, I loose so many jigs. My investment in jig making materials has already paid for itself. Less than 100 dollars to get started, now I can make really nice football jig for about $1 a piece.
  15. I love that chartruese shad gunfish. I've had fish that wouldn't touch no other Topwater bait, throw that gunfish in on them and they'll eat it.
  16. I have had some luck with the 3.8" keitech in hasu color here lately. And like Quill, I also like the looks of that boot tail magic shad.
  17. Those are beautiful!
  18. How about this crazy weather...
  19. Quill, I saw two whites Saturday dead around big m as well. It was early in the morning and their eyes wasn't hazed over yet like they hadn't been dead very long, maybe something to it...
  20. Is it cranefield junction?... At least that's what it used to be called...
  21. Helicopter lure.... Oh man that one was terrible!
  22. I had an awesome day Friday early in the morning swimming a 4" milky salt n pepper grub out in front of docks as well. Lots of shad gave way to one heck of a frenzy. Lots of fish pushing shad to the top.
  23. Electric knife is the only way to go especially when you have a lot if fish to clean...
  24. That is one thing I've noticed the past few weeks is the fact that it isn't because the fish aren't there in a certain spot, they just won't bite at any given time. Some of my usual spots I have sat on them for almost an hour without a bite, then all of the sudden I can start catching some fish. I'm not sure what triggers them at certain times, but I believe its the way the fish are relating to shad...?
